Chapter 52: The Announcement.

"People are worried about you. You won’t get better if you keep staying that way. Your problems are still out here waiting for you. Caius won’t stop asking me about you, your husband comes around most of the time and stays with you. The Sorceress came about three times now, and the other one stopped by once too. There are these other two people, a guy with shaggy brown hair. He said he’s your chef, and he came around to see you too. Then there’s this new chick, Aletta. She’s too naive to be left alone, and I’m afraid she would be taken advantage of if I let her go. I know it’s not my job to look after her, but Caius has also taken a liking to her, and they spend most of their time together. Your injury is getting better every day, and I know you just want to rid yourself of everything, but it’s been four days now. You need to wake up already, you need to face it all. You have to, Raziah. You can’t go around it, and do I have to remind you again that you’re not alone?"

Raziah could hear everything. She knew who was talking, and she knew she was right. But, has it been four days already?

There was anguish as she sat up on the mountain of snow, her head buried between her legs. She still didn’t feel like getting up and facing reality, but there was no other way around it. Staying here won’t make the difference she wants, keeping herself locked away is only temporary, it’s not even a solution.

Raziah looked up to the sky again, but it was still covered with fog.

Will it always be covered? Will she never see the sky? Why won’t the damn sun show itself? At least that would give her hope for a new day, but this place has always been like this.

So empty! Just hills and valleys and mountains of snow everywhere she turned. She couldn’t continue like this.

Ever so softly, her eyes fluttered open, and her vision adjusted properly to the figure staring back at her. It was time to wake up and face her fears again, and she wasn’t alone in this right? Fabia’s face slowly grew clearer in her eyes, but as it did the structure began changing like there was someone else there.

Dark cascading hair, and burning olives for his eyes. That ever so mystifying face of his, and the raw power oozing with every action. His stance was as graceful as ever, and his clothes looked nothing less than the majestical being he was.

They just stayed in those positions, staring at each other without words. When she finally got tired of it, Raziah pulled herself into a sitting position and looked at the window. The sun was out and its rays were flooding in through the open windows. She looked down at herself to see the heavy attire she was wearing, and how well she had been packaged against the cold.

But what they didn’t understand was that...She is the Cold.

"We will be attending an event tonight." Aragon stated, and she gazed up at him again, "Don’t worry, you only have to walk inside with me. You won’t be stressed out."

Now, things were looking fishy.

It was nightfall, and a dress had been brought to her to wear for the event, and she didn’t even know what was happening at the event! Her dang husband had left without further explanation, and she hadn’t seen him ever since. It was one of the most beautiful dresses she had ever laid eyes on.

A Royal blue dress with a high collar laced neckline adorned with stones. The sleeves were made with net that gripped her around the upper arm, and was let loose further downwards. The bodice sparkled as more materials had been sewn into it, and the waistline was basque-designed. All the dresses Raziah knew to have a Basque waistline came with a long and Voluminous silhouette like that of a ball gown but this dress came with a trumpet silhouette- and it was just perfect. Hemline had a sewn flowery design on it, almost similar to the type on her mask.

She helped herself in making her hair, and since she didn’t know what kind of event it was, she just went with something simple. She braided the underside, intertwined the braids with the unbraided part, and pinned it as a bun, but not without letting some locks of hair fall across her cheeks.

Her Golden slipper that went with the color of her hair was beside the dress, and she wore everything. She wasn’t going there to impress anyone, so makeup was out of the question.

Soon enough, Her husband walked into the room and found her sitting on the bed. He had also changed his clothes, shocking her with the same Royal blue animal skin type of cloth, with a ring of black fur around his whole back. His hair had been combed, and the pin used to hold up the hair had the emblem of the kingdom just by the head. He didn’t look much like a prince in that attire, he resembled something much more greater!

He only gave her one swift glance from head to toe, before he turned his gaze to something else. His Adam’s apple bobbed, and she noticed he couldn’t quite stare at her directly again after that.

What was wrong?

They both walked down the palace walls, and she kept looking around wondering what had happened while she was unconscious. There was a different feel to her surrounding, and she hardly came across anyone till they got to the double doors of the throne room.

The noise coming from behind the door informed her that the event was right there, and there had to be a lot of people attending too. Was it someone’s birthday? What could they be celebrating?

The heat creeping up her skin had her taking a glimpse to see that he had hooked his elbow around hers, and she just stood there confused about everything. At least, let there be food!

"And Now, I would like to have everyone’s attention." A Loud voice from inside the hall pronounced, and the noise slowly dissipated into nothing, "It’s with my humble pride, and my greatest honor to Announce the arrival of the King, His Majesty of Erandell, and his wife, our queen to be... King Aragon Odysseus and Princess Raziah Octavius of Naria!"

And the double doors flew open.
