It’s been about two days, and the king’s first wife was making her way out of the palace and somewhere to the back. She seemed to be dressed for a fight, and considering how late she was, she looked a bit pissed off that she was just finding out about the biggest event that usually took place here in Erandell. Maria was right behind her, trying to calm her down but Raziah was not listening to what she was saying at all. She never really left the room for the past two days, and it was until a few minutes ago that Maria was telling her something about some huge event that is prepared for all the royals that visited. And that all attendees are to participate, and amongst the king’s brides, she was the one chosen this time to represent Erandell. Acacia has always been the one that represented the kingdom, but now that the king was finally married, one of the Princesses would have to take part. Princess Gwenore would have been a much better option since he was a vampire like them, but they chose a human Princess, why? She immediately knew the answer. The fact that her husband never told her about it was answer enough in itself, and Raziah wouldn’t have given a damn if it were her decision to come or not to go there. But the ball wasn’t in her court, and that was slightly annoying. Just like the game she witnessed in Erandell, this one was a three-day game too of different sports with the men having theirs, and the women too. Looks like she would once again have to come across those naughty and proud Princesses from last time, and if they try to cross the line, she wouldn’t hold back on them. Maria was the one carrying her sword and a bunch of arrows she had gotten because she didn’t know what game it was that evening, and she was almost at the filled place that looked almost like a stadium. It was mostly for entertainment for the whole kingdom after the war and since everything was back in place, as Maria had told her while she was getting dressed. Malcolm was standing by the door, tapping his feet frantically while looking around for someone. They came closer to him, and he looked relieved when he saw her, "Your highness!" "What has been prepared for today?" She asked him, peeking through the small door which was the entrance for contestants. "Horse racing and hijacking," He replied. Raziah knew exactly what they meant. "Around the whole place?" She glanced around the vicinity of the event which looked big. "The whole Kingdom," Malcolm replied, and Raziah threw her head back with scorn on her face. Why wasn’t all this explained to her before?! "You’ll be gone for about thirty minutes or even more depending on how fast your horse is. Now, remember you’re the only one among them who..." Malcolm was explaining when his voice died off. "Majority of them already hate me," Raziah took out the bow that was attached to her back and handed it back to Maria, Rolling her eyes, "And it’s not like I care. But if they try to pull any stupid moves on me, I won’t hesitate to knock the lady off her horse and hijack it for myself!" She replied sternly, a cold flicker running through her eyes as she walked past them and made her way Into the stadium. Prince Edward’s loud voice could be heard around the loud and filled place since he was the announcer, and then not too far, close to where the crowd seated were Caius, Fabia, and Indah. They had woken up, and Fabia had taken care of his injury. But, Caius gets startled very easily since he woke up, though he seems to be getting better. Not too far from them sat Aletta, who was staring around looking as terrified as ever with her half-cloak always on. When she met their gazes, Caius broke out into a huge grin and waved at her excitedly, and she waved back at him. Fabia also waved, and Aletta gave her a nervous look. She didn’t care to look for her husband or where the other kings were seated because the horses were already lined up, and the Princesses had already chosen their ride. Seems these past two days, they had all been to the royal stable and gained closure with the horses they were gonna be using, and all these while she had been strictly indoors and unaware of what was going on outside. Shrugging off the annoying feeling, she ignored her husband’s gaze on her which she could feel coming from somewhere around her, and struck her gaze amongst the horses that hadn’t been chosen. They were about five of them, and Raziah just gazed at them lazily till she saw the one she wanted. Brown in color, and was the fattest horse around. She walked over and gave it another good survey. It looked very lazy, and was still even munching languidly on some lay peaking from its mouth. The aim of her being here wasn’t to win, it was just to participate and not bring shame upon her kingdom. And it’s not like she’s used to riding horses, she’s only been on one about three or two times in her entire life, and while the other Princesses are fighting and struggling to hijack the other’s horse and take the first position, she would be at the very back walking so slow while admiring the view of the palace from afar. The perfect plan. Pulling the horse with her, she took him to join the Long line. She could hear someone whispering around her, and the scornful gazes that were directed at her by those naughty vampires that didn’t Like her, but Raziah was more interested in getting on the horse and coming in the last position so she can be eliminated and not participate in the next one tomorrow. Once it was time to get on the horses, she climbed on and settled on the back of the horse that was still eating its mouth. How nice it would feel when she kicks the horse to start moving and it decides to walk as slow as a snail. What she was expecting...did not happen. It was the exact opposite that came to pass. As soon as the trumpet was blown and it was time to begin the race, Raziah lifted the reign with a small kick and suddenly, the horse took off running faster than the others. Her eyes popped open and she has to hold on dearly and lean forward quickly as it shot through everyone to the very front, and Raziah began cursing at herself. This was not what she wanted. At all! She was way up in front, and that wasn’t how it was supposed to be. Judging from a normal race from books she’s read, it’s supposed to start with a short race to warm up the horses for the long run that was about to come. In that period of time, no one tries to hijack anyone’s horses and everyone keeps a clear eye out of everyone’s lane but now that her horse had suddenly turned into the fastest in the stead, and wasn’t even listening to her trying to stop it from running like it was the end of the world, everyone now thought she had chosen the small fat horse for that reason, and she was trying to get a good distance away from them right from the beginning and come in First position even though she does not have to hijack any horses which would lead to more points. She tried multiple times to stop the horse but it wasn’t listening to her anymore. It wasn’t completely stubborn, instead, it kept neighing in an excited manner, and she had this feeling that it’s been a while since someone took it for a ride like this and that was why it couldn’t control itself. Well, she could see the reason why it hasn’t been ridden for a while. Most fat horses are said to be slower, but this one has been reserving its strength for a while. She didn’t even check its name on the tag around its neck before taking it with her. The sound of galloping behind her had her whipping back to see the others catching up to her. Seems like they weren’t gonna allow her to get too far from them, and now she would completely stray out of her plans. She saw that they were already far from the stadium, and she could already sight the castle from where she was. "Hello," An annoying voice she had totally forgotten existed made her turn to her left and there was the Princess with Pine eyes. Ember was riding beside her, and she apparently, wasn’t the only one who had caught up with her fast. Things were about to get ugly.
