Chapter 94: The Race.

Ember had this wicked grin on her face along with her friends behind, and Raziah knew she was in a pinch. Well, hijacking her horse wasn’t such a bad idea to her, but she wasn’t gonna let them kick her off that easily. The struggle began when ember brought her horse closer to Raziah’s, and began bumping her shoulder into hers roughly. "Your highness, Ever done this before?" Now that she wasn’t trying to act cute and polite anymore, ember’s voice was at its cruelest. There was no need to sugarcoat words anymore when the enemy already knows who you truly are, and this game alone required as much cruelty as possible to make the person let go of the reigns of his horse and knock them down. Raziah ignored her as always, focusing on the road. The others were right behind them, and from the harsh talks and rough sounds she kept hearing, they must have started kicking and trying to overtake each other. Now she wished her horse would run even faster because ember was increasing the power of her hits every time, and if care wasn’t taken, she and the horse would fall. Ember knew what she was doing, and it doesn’t really matter because she could always call it a mistake on her part. Definitely if Raziah and her horse fall together, the horse might end up crushing a part of her body. If Raziah were a vampire which she isn’t, that wouldn’t be a problem and she would be better within a few minutes. Of course accidents like this happen all the time, and it’s not their fault that the King chose his human-like bride to participate instead of the Vampiress. Raziah couldn’t think of anything else than to counter her back. She couldn’t risk pulling back on the horse and halting the run or else the ones coming behind her would knock into her, and the horse wasn’t running any faster than it was. Taking those into consideration, she decided to counter the force by knocking back Ember. They would constantly slam at each other, roll back and then come again. Of course, Raziah’s shoulders couldn’t take it anymore after a while of moving and she was getting more and more breathless with time. When she glanced around again, a few horses were now Empty and the Princesses that had knocked the ones off dragged the reigns with triumphant looks on their faces. The next collision between the two Princesses had Raziah swinging to the other side and nearly falling off the horse. She wasn’t even sure from the very start whether she was holding it right, and it seems Ember was just beginning to use her true Vampiric strength on her because that slam felt like it almost dislocated her shoulders, and taking more of that would be fatal for her arm and upper body. "I’ll advice you to give up already before you get injured badly, Princess," Ember said, her voice dripping with mockery and delight. She even flashed Raziah a sweet smile on top it off, "I don’t plan to go easy on you because you’re human. This is a game, your highness, and I plan to give it everything I’ve got!" She hissed proudly, right before she came knocking into Raziah again, who almost let go of the reigns at that moment. Her body was barely hanging to the horse now, and there was so much pain coming from her left shoulder. Glancing to her right, she saw that they were now running past a forest in the kingdom and if she were to be knocked down, she would fall and roll down the hill into the forest... And the sun was about to completely disappear into the horizon meaning it would be dark soon. They slammed into each other again, and Raziah felt the slight crack on her left shoulder. She was a Princess too, and well aware of the shame that came with getting knocked off the horse. Walking back to the palace would be a hassle, and she couldn’t keep exchanging collisions with the Princess that was hellbent on sending her into the forest, but Raziah also had her pride as a Princess too and Ember was the last person she wanted to knock her off. "What are you doing? Can’t you see she’s not like us?" A Princess coming from behind yelled at Ember with caution and anger reeking from her voice, which had the pine princess throwing a deadly glare in her direction. "You stay out of this Corrie!" She spitted out venomously. "Oh I want to, but do you really think his Majesty of Erandell is just gonna be quiet while his wife returns having a shoulder that looks out of place?! Pretty sure he’s gonna catch your scent from her and come for you." Corrie tried again, this time trying to knock some sense into her head with some threats attached too. "Yeah. He should have thought about that before sending her into this game. The rules remain the same even with her, and it would be easier for the princess herself if she just rolls down and give up but she..." Raziah was more than grateful for that distraction because it was all she needed to execute her plans. She knew she was gonna go down, but Ember was definitely coming with her so before Ember could finish her sentence, Raziah had jumped on the back of her horse with both legs, propelled her lower body up the air while still grabbing unto the horse reigns, and her legs turned a sharp angle and kicked Ember right in the face. Very hard. Raziah made sure to put so much energy into it that Ember would have to let go of the reigns. The sole of two shoes slammed into Ember’s face, and Corrie gasped at the sight of the insane jump Raziah had pulled off. She heard the sound that came with it, and the force of the hit straight to Ember’s nose was enough to catch her off guard, and she fell off her horse. That wasn’t the end. Raziah already knew the amount of force she exerted to knock the Vampire Princess off her horse was enough to have her rolling off herself, and her throbbing right fingers and aching left shoulder were too weak to pull herself back and sit on the horse. Maybe she would have applied more energy if she wanted to win, but she was just too lazy and let herself fall off and roll down the hill, into the vast forest in front of her.
