Chapter 295 Mission

He was exhausted.

Godric's frames were bleached several shades white.

In the principal's office.

Snape and Harry were both there. They watched Dumbledore pour a full glass of honey water for them, and then drank it in one gulp. They breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Harry, Severus, an old man like me has suffered so much during this period."

"Except for the Three Broomsticks and the Leaky Cauldron, none of those pubs out there have pure honey water."

"They are all cheating. The honey water they sent to an old man like me is just a little honey mixed with a whole cup of warm water. My God, can that thing be called honey water?"

Harry looked at him coldly: "Have you ever thought about what kind of honey water is normal?"

"For you, it's not normal to drink a whole cup of honey mixed with a little water."

"Hermione has said more than once that it's incredible that you still have all your teeth after all the hard work you put on yourself."

Snape sneered, "Potter, you didn't see him asking me for potion when he had a toothache."

"It's so pitiful. It's hard to imagine."

Dumbledore exhaled and looked at Snape: "Severus, where is Voldemort?"

Snape's face was gloomy, and he hugged his arms: "Very peaceful."

"There's little else to it except revenge on some people he once called his friends but are no longer his friends."

“He was alone every day.”

"I was only allowed to enter the bedroom when he called me to treat him, but I couldn't see anything. He became more careful and cautious, and almost no one could gain his complete trust."

Dumbledore nodded thoughtfully: "Then he has no idea about the Horcruxes?"

Snape shook his head: "No."

"I heard him talk about Horcruxes. Maybe Barty Crouch Jr. knows the location of other Horcruxes, but he never told anyone specifically about these things except him."

At this point, Snape paused.

"I have seen Barty Crouch Jr. He is still alive."

"only……"

"It's a little different from the young Barty Crouch I remembered. He's becoming more and more like him now."

The latter "he" undoubtedly refers to "Voldemort".

Dumbledore nodded at the table. "Well, it seems that Voldemort is very confident in his method of hiding the Horcruxes."

He paused, turned to look at Harry, and smiled: "Harry, you really always bring me great surprises."

"Hogwarts."

"What a great word! When I came back, I went to the lobby to see the school emblem. It was so beautiful..."

Harry waved his hand: "Let's get down to business."

"While you were stabilizing Hogwarts, Godric and I were not just traveling." Dumbledore went on, "I am probably the person who knows Tom best, besides Tom himself. During this time, I have been searching for clues in the orphanage in London where he used to stay and in Little Hangleton."

"You know..."

"Voldemort is very old. He is already over seventy years old."

"Even if he didn't hide his past, it would be hard to leave any clues. What's more, he deliberately concealed his past."

"But not having to worry about Hogwarts made me relax. I was less impatient and could look for things slowly. I actually found some things."

"I might have found another one of his Horcruxes."

Another Horcrux?

Harry and Snape's eyes became dangerous, and they looked at Dumbledore together.

"It seems that you haven't wasted your life in vain." Snape sneered, "Where?"

"A place far from Hogwarts." Dumbledore shook his head. "It is indeed a difficult place to think of."

"If Tom's life wasn't so poor and he didn't have many memories that he valued, I'm afraid it would be difficult for me to find that for a while."

Snape turned his head away. He was traumatized. In a way, he and Tom Riddle were no different. Their lives were both very poor, so poor that all their happiness could be written on one page, and there would even be plenty of blank space left.

"On the seaside, over at Margate."

Dumbledore poured himself another glass of honey water.

"That was one of the few good memories of little Tom's childhood." Dumbledore sighed. "Their orphanage was taken to the seaside for a trip. Tom seemed to have a particularly deep impression of that place he had only been to once. He hid a Horcrux there."

“But I have to admire his ingenuity and ideas.”

"I'm in, but unfortunately I can't get that Horcrux by myself. I need help."

Harry nodded, "I'll go with you and Professor Snape to file a complaint?"

Snape's expression became even more unnatural.

Dumbledore smiled and said, "Of course, Severus, I will have to trouble you in this matter."

"Ahaha, I am loyal to my great master. How could I feel wronged about this?" Snape stood up and said coldly, "Can I borrow your fireplace?"

Dumbledore tilted his head and said, "You can try the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor's fireplace. I remember that the Ministry of Magic has not yet taken back the authority to use that fireplace."

Defense Against the Dark Arts professor...

Snape was stunned and couldn't help gritting his teeth.

Damn it…

Dealing with Sirius Black again?

This made him feel even more hurt by Dumbledore. After taking a deep breath, he slammed the door and left.

"Shall we go now?" Harry also stood up and invited Dumbledore.

Dumbledore shook his head and the cup in his hand: "No hurry, let me rest for a while. I will be in London until this morning."

"He was very interested in the movie and went to watch it." Godric's portrait flew over and grumbled unhappily, "But he seemed to have no idea how to get along with No-Maj. He didn't know how to pay or take the ticket. In the end, he used the Disillusionment Charm to sneak in with me and even took apart my picture frame."

Harry looked at him expressionlessly.

Dumbledore coughed twice: "Yesterday..."

"He went on a trip to Amsterdam yesterday and flew kites all day." Godric continued to dismantle him.

Dumbledore put the cup down, thought carefully about his schedule in the past few days, and said helplessly: "Okay, okay, let me rest for a while. The old man doesn't have that much energy. At least wait for Snape to pass this news to Tom."

Outside Malfoy Manor, Snape skillfully opened the barrier of the manor and walked in with big strides.

He just came into the house.

He was stopped by Bellatrix who was guarding the living room.

"Severus, why are you here?" She was a little surprised. Snape almost never showed up except on weekends, but today was not the weekend.

Snape frowned, "It's very important. I need to see the master."

"Oh?" Bellatrix, "What is it?"

"You are not qualified to know." Snape strode towards the bedroom.

Bellatrix narrowed her eyes at him.

In front of the bedroom door, Snape took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

After a moment.

The door was opened.

Snape walked in respectfully, his head lowered.

"My dear friend, Severus, why are you here today?" Voldemort looked at him with a cheerful tone, "Is there something wrong? I heard what you said downstairs."

Snape didn't even raise his head: "Master, Dumbledore..."

"No need to do that. Look up and look at me when I talk." Voldemort waved.

Snape looked up.

He finally saw a different bedroom. When he came here before, there was only a pool and a big bed in the bedroom.

But now, the bedroom is filled with all kinds of shocking black magic books, and the papers scattered on the floor are filled with all kinds of complicated and sharp spells, as well as some hideous and terrifying drawings of human body modification.

The two of them looked at each other.

Snape said calmly, "Dumbledore has found one of your Horcruxes, Master, and wants to take Potter with him."

"Horcrux?" Voldemort's expression changed slightly. "Which one?"

Snape replied, "In a cave by the sea in Margate."

Voldemort nodded, suddenly relaxed, and the smile returned to his face: "So that's it."

"Dumbledore is truly great."

"I'm afraid any trace of magic will hardly escape his eyes."

Snape said nothing.

Voldemort waved to him, and Snape walked in. The two men kept looking at each other. "So, why did Dumbledore tell you this?"

"He still trusts you?"

As he spoke, his eyes caught a glimpse of Snape's reattached severed arm.

This is the mark.

"No one knows what Dumbledore is thinking." Snape said expressionlessly, "It's just that he was seriously injured. There is a scar on his arm. After he came back, he was confused and frightened."

Voldemort smirked, "What a shame I can't see it with my own eyes."

"Severus, mind if I use your brain for a minute?"

Snape immediately knelt down and lowered his head.

Voldemort drew his wand, placed it against his head, and slowly closed his eyes.

After a moment, Voldemort let go of his wand and smiled even more proudly: "How delightful!"

"Is Professor Dumbledore so old?"

Snape stood up and met his eyes again.

"Severus, you are loyal." Voldemort praised him. "Keep an eye on them."

Snape was stunned, not quite understanding what Voldemort meant.

this……

It seems that he doesn't care enough about his own Horcrux?

"I have personally checked all my Horcruxes." Voldemort said softly, "I have checked every one of them, so my dear Severus, what Dumbledore is doing now is within my expectations."

"Don't worry, you'll soon find out why."

Snape nodded.

Voldemort sighed, looked away, and looked through the window at the dark dome: "Severus, can I really trust you?"

Snape said without hesitation: "Of course, Master, you can trust me completely. I am your most loyal servant."

"Then I can give you a task." Voldemort turned around, his dark eyes glowing with a faint scarlet blood, "Help me find a way to kill Dumbledore, okay?"
