Chapter 450: Clever Fudge

When everyone passed through the arch and returned to the cave outside, it was already dawn.

The early morning sun dispelled the cold and darkness, shining on the sea, creating golden ripples.

A group of seagulls landed on a rock not far away and looked at Fawkes on Kyle's shoulder curiously, but when Kreacher began to cry at the top of his voice again, they were scared and all flew away.

Everyone waited outside for ten minutes, and Dumbledore, who was in charge of the aftermath, finally came out.

He didn't explain what he did during those ten minutes, and no one else asked.

"I need to take Regulus away," he said. "Severus should be able to restore him to a human being instead of the state he is in now."

"I'm going too!" Sirius said immediately.

Although he and Snape didn't get along, he risked his life for Regulus.

At worst, he would just not talk back when Snape teased him.

"I think it's better for you not to go." Dumbledore looked at him, hesitant to speak.

He felt that if Sirius had gone there, Snape would probably not have opened the door for them at all.

"Uh..." Sirius also understood what he meant and couldn't help but mutter, "Can't we change someone else, like Madam Pomfrey?"

"No." Dumbledore shook his head, "She is better at healing living people."

"Well... well." Sirius sighed, bent down and bowed deeply to Dumbledore. "Regulus, I'll trouble you."

Then he said to Kreacher who was crying beside him, "You go with Professor Dumbledore to see that person. If you are missing any materials, tell me immediately.

In addition, no matter how unpleasant his words are, even if they are mocking Regulus, you must pretend not to hear them. This is an order!"

This time Dumbledore did not object. If it was just a house-elf following him, I believe Snape would not mind.

Before leaving, he looked at Kyle, who seemed fine, and seemed to want to ask something, but in the end he shook his head and said nothing.

"Bang!"

Fox led them and disappeared in a flash of fire.

After they left, Sirius sat on a rock, looking up at the sky, his expression more relaxed than ever before.

“I’m a little scared to go back.”

He jokingly said to Kyle: "I'm sure Lupin will beat me up as soon as I get back.

Although I hate to admit it, I really can't beat him now, whether I use the magic wand or not."

"It's normal for you to be beaten because you insisted on coming here." Kyle walked up to him, "And he's right. If it weren't for Professor Dumbledore, we would have to look for two people.

And I'm sure Snape would be happy to make you a potion."

"Yes, if that's the case, he must be very happy."

Sirius, lying on the stone, suddenly said, "Thank you."

"What."

"Because of me, you lost a life-saving item." Sirius said, "Is there anything I can do to help you?"

"Fox likes to eat herbs." Kyle whispered.

"I understand." Sirius chuckled and said, "Leave it to me."

He stood up from the stone and said, "It's getting late. I'll take you back."

"It's okay." Kyle waved his hand, "I can go back by myself, you don't need to send me back."

"So you're not going back to 12 Grimmauld Place with me?"

Sirius's expression was stiff. He was still thinking about asking Kyle to help mediate the fight. Maybe Lupin would let him go for the sake of his former student.

Otherwise, he would have been beaten to death.

Kyle ignored Sirius, whose expression was becoming increasingly grim, and Apparated away after he finished speaking.

Sirius looked at the empty cave and almost cried. In a trance, he had already anticipated his fate.

Seriously, why did Kyle Apparate away? He...wait...

Sirius suddenly froze.

Kyle, a student who is not even in fifth grade, can Apparate? ...

On the other side, after returning to St. Catchpole Village, as soon as Kyle entered the door, he saw Chris and Diana having breakfast.

Both were surprised that Kyle came back so early.

"Why are you back so early? Are you not feeling comfortable staying at Sirius's house?"

They already knew about Sirius and Peter, and Kyle had written a letter last night when he went to number 12, Grimmauld Place, saying that he would stay there for one night.

"No." Kyle shook his head and sat next to him. "It's just that his family might not be peaceful for a while. I was afraid of being implicated if I stayed there, so I came back early."

After working all night, Kyle was already hungry and couldn't help but stuff a piece of toast into his mouth.

Diana added some fried eggs and grilled sausages to his meal.

It wasn't until Kyle had eaten his fill that she spoke, "What happened? Didn't you say Sirius was wrongly accused?"

"It's nothing to do with that," Kyle explained. "It's just that he did something that really pissed Lupin off, and he was definitely going to get beaten up, and I felt bad standing there watching."

The two nodded and didn't ask any more questions, as if this was a very normal thing.

"They often fight and quarrel. It was like this when they were in school." Diana said with a smile, "Especially after Remus became the prefect, I was often mad at him."

"In fact, I didn't have a very good impression of him at the time." Chris also said, "But after hearing that Sirius betrayed Potter, I still found it a little unbelievable... Everyone knows that this is impossible. Their relationship is as good as Fred and George, always inseparable.

But it turns out that it is true.”

"By the way, Dad." Kyle asked, "When does Sirius' hearing start?"

"I don't know." Chris shook his head. "I was just wondering if Fudge really knew about this?"

"Of course, I was in the headmaster's office and heard it all," said Kyle. "He looked very eager to help Sirius."

"Then why is there no news from the ministry?" Chris was a little confused.

"What's so strange about this?" Diana said on the side, "Don't forget what happened in August."

"Quidditch World Cup!" Chris suddenly realized.

Crouch has always been in charge of the Quidditch World Cup, and as long as the tournament is exciting enough, his reputation will reach an unprecedented height.

Fudge probably thought of bringing up the matter of Sirius at that time.

Imprisoning an innocent man for twelve years without trial was a mistake that was enough to destroy Crouch's long-established reputation.

"Huh..." Chris couldn't help but laugh.

Fudge's move was so brilliant that it almost solved the possibility of Crouch replacing him once and for all.

The three of them talked for a while, and then Chris and Diana prepared to go to the Ministry of Magic.

"So early?" Kyle glanced at the time. "It's still two hours before the normal working hours of the Ministry of Magic."

"It's been like this lately. There are two big events that need to be prepared. The ministry is too busy. Oh, right."

Chris, who had just walked out of the door, suddenly stepped back and said to Kyle mysteriously: "You'd better read more books and practice some spells... This may help you."
