Chapter 647 Lucius Malfoy

During breakfast, Hagrid reappeared in the teachers' seats, but the applause welcoming him was not very enthusiastic, especially at the Slytherin table, where there was no sound at all, which formed a sharp contrast with the excited Gryffindor.

However, even among Gryffindors, not everyone likes Hagrid. Some girls prefer Professor Grubbly-Plank's class.

Because Professor Grubbly-Plank doesn't give us a surprise from time to time... or maybe a scare would be more appropriate.

The Thorn is much safer than the Fire Crab, and it is something that will definitely be in OWL.

The sixth graders had Care of Magical Creatures this morning, and it was also the first class they had since Hagrid returned.

After the first spells class, Kyle and Connor walked through two feet of snow and came to the wooden house at the edge of the forbidden forest.

After seeing Hagrid, almost everyone took a breath subconsciously.

He looks really scary now.

There were wounds on his face, his hair was untidy and messy, and you could vaguely see some feathers of some unknown animal.

More importantly, Hagrid was carrying half a cow on his shoulders, and drops of blood fell to the ground, dyeing the snow red. The scene was indescribably weird.

"I really still prefer Professor Grubbly-Plank." There were bursts of subtle discussions among the crowd.

But Hagrid didn't seem to hear.

"Come on, follow me, we're going to have classes here today." Hagrid led them into the dense woods, but did not go deep, and stopped after about minutes.

"Are you ready?" Hagrid put the half cow on the ground with a grunt, and glanced at all the students happily, "Don't get too excited later. The animals we are going to study today are very rare. I think I may be the only one in Britain who has tamed them...

"Oh, look, here they come."

"What is that and where is it?" The crowd once again began to talk.

From most perspectives, there was clearly nothing in the woods, unless the Bowtruckles on both sides were counted.

But they had already learned about this kind of animal, so it obviously couldn't be them.

"ah!"

At this moment, a scream suddenly broke the silence.

A Ravenclaw girl was staring with her eyes wide open, pointing her finger forward in horror, "You...you guys look..."

The classmates looked in the direction of her finger, and then more people screamed.

There, pieces of meat were automatically peeling off from the bones and disappearing into the air, which was so strange that it made people feel cold all over.

Many people subconsciously wanted to run away from the forbidden forest.

But a small number of people see it differently.

What they saw was a group of huge, winged black horses, lowering their heads and biting half a cow on the ground with their fangs.

And they are not unfamiliar with this kind of animal. Every year at the beginning of the school year, it is these animals that pull the carriages to take students to the castle.

"Thestrals!" said Hagrid proudly. "Can anyone see them?"

Several hands went up, maybe six or seven people.

"A bit more than I thought," said Hagrid seriously. "So who wants to come up and touch them? It's a rare opportunity."

Now, all the people who had raised their hands before put their hands down. Whether they were visible or not, they all showed a complete aversion to touching Yezhin.

Kyle originally wanted to give Hagrid a favor and help him out, but at this moment, he saw a person on the other side of the Forbidden Forest. In just a blink of an eye, the other person disappeared again.

"Professor Hagrid." Kyle raised his hand.

"Well... I knew you..."

"I'm sorry, Professor Hagrid," Kyle interrupted, "I may have dropped something on the road, can I go look for it?"

A quick look of disappointment appeared on Hagrid's face, but he nodded, "Okay, no problem."

"Thank you, Professor," Kyle said, then left the crowd and walked in the direction he came from.

When he turned around, he saw Umbridge, who was walking towards him with the familiar writing board.

She didn't ask Kyle what he was going to do, but just walked straight towards Hagrid.

This is better, so I don’t have to find excuses to explain myself.

There was a rustling sound of footsteps coming from the side.

"Long time no see. Nice to see you at school." Kyle turned around and said with a smile, "Mr. Lucius Malfoy."

Lucius Malfoy stood on the side, his face livid, his hands tightly grasping his snake staff. If Kyle hadn't spoken just now, he might have done something.

"Let me kindly remind you, Mr. Lucius," Kyle continued, "this is Hogwarts. If I get hurt, even a little scratch, you won't be able to leave here."

"Dumbledore is not at school," Malfoy said hoarsely. "This threat is useless."

"You could try," Kyle said, smiling. "And I don't understand, are you so happy that Dumbledore isn't at school? I thought you'd be nervous."

Lucius picked up his snake staff again, but finally put it down slowly.

"What on earth do you want to do!" He growled, "I don't believe you dare to attack Draco in Hogwarts. Dumbledore will not forgive you."

"You just said he wasn't in school." Kyle said, "Besides, I didn't do anything to Draco Malfoy... Oh, although you wanted to catch me and take credit for it the night your master was resurrected, but that's all in the past. I forgave you a long time ago."

"I don't understand what you are saying." Lucius said coldly.

Of course he knew what Kyle was talking about.

On the day Voldemort was resurrected, when Dumbledore sent Kyle and Harry to the foot of the mountain, he also ran down the mountain in order to escape.

He did think about capturing Kyle and Harry and asking for credit for it from Voldemort, but Kyle also wanted to kill him.

Even now, whenever Lucius thought of the cut tree next to him, his whole body would tremble uncontrollably.

Of course, this cannot be admitted.

"Don't try to slander me," he added.

"Okay, that's it." Kyle shrugged, "Then what are you still worrying about? Sorry, I still have to go to class."

Kyle raised his leg and was about to leave.

"etc!"

Lucius quickly took two steps forward and stood in front of him. "Draco knows nothing."

"I told you I wouldn't do anything to him." Kyle explained patiently, "We are good friends. I just went to visit him a few days ago. You saw me peel a chocolate frog for him.

“We get along very well.”

This was not just a perfunctory remark to Lucius. Although he was not a moral role model like Professor Dumbledore, he would not take his anger out on Draco.

If he really wanted to do this, he could have done it at the beginning of the school year. There was no need to wait until now.

"You swear..." Lucius stopped Kyle again, "No, we have to make an unbreakable oath...promise that you won't..."

"Unbreakable oath?" Kyle narrowed his eyes. "You're going a bit too far, Mr. Lucius. Or do you think I'm a good-natured person with no bottom line?"

Subconsciously, Lucius pulled his wand out of the snake staff.

Kyle still didn't move, but just said as a reminder: "You have to think it over carefully, do you really want to do this? This is the forbidden forest..."

Not sure if it was an illusion, but Lucius vaguely heard a dull growl.

The next second, he felt his whole body tighten, as if he was being stared at by something scary. As long as he made the slightest movement, the other party would pounce on him.

Lucius trusted his intuition very much, and this intuition had saved him many times over the past few decades.

For the first time, he looked carefully at this sixth-year student at Hogwarts and saw a very familiar feeling from him. He looked very much like someone, a person who would make people feel scared just by hearing his name.

But in some ways, they were completely different. At least his first impression of Kyle was definitely not fear.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have thought of capturing Kyle and taking credit for it when he was at the bottom of the mountain.

Why do monsters like this always appear in Hogwarts...Lucius has mixed feelings.

But he didn't have time to think about these things now. The growl became clearer and clearer, and Lucius could even smell a faint sweet smell.

In an instant, Lucius made a decision. He slowly turned the wand, loosened his grip, and dropped it to the ground.

The growl stopped, and he could smell the faint scent of grass in the air of the forbidden forest again, but the sense of threat did not disappear.
