Chapter 27 Invisibility Cloak

As a result, all the little wizards in the school felt insecure and did not dare to act alone.

During this time, everyone was chattering about exchanging amulets, talismans and other items of protection without the knowledge of the teachers. This practice soon became popular in the school, and Neville Longbottom bought a large stinking green onion, a pointed amethyst and a rotting newt tail.

The result was that there was always a lingering stench in the common room, and even Cyrus couldn't stand it anymore.

"Neville, you don't need these things. You are a pureblood and won't be attacked." Cyrus fanned his nose, trying to let in fresh air.

"But he attacked Filch first, and everyone knows that I'm almost a Squib," he said panicked.

Cyrus couldn't stand the smell, so he simply returned the body to Ginny and went back to his diary to study alchemy and spells.

“Hmm—”

"Hello, Mr. Riddle - is the Quidditch match over?" Ginny asked dazedly.

Hearing Ginny's question, Cyrus remembered that he had not returned his body to Ginny in the past few days. Fortunately, he remembered all the scenes of the Quidditch game. Although his brain was distracted for a while, his eyes did not miss any details.

"It's been two days already Ginny, today is Monday," Cyrus said seriously.

"It's Monday?" Ginny was stunned. She didn't expect Mr. Riddle to use her body for so long this time. "Did something happen, Mr. Riddle?"

"Colin Creevey was attacked--" Cyrus tried to make his expression more serious.

"Colin?" Ginny's eyes widened, looking very uneasy. She sat at the same table with Colin Creevey in Charms class, and the two were good friends who could communicate with each other. But now, Colin was attacked!

"Yes, this is all my fault! When the cat was killed before, I thought it was a prank and didn't take it too seriously. Besides, it was me who suggested that he sneak away to see Harry at night. Otherwise, he probably wouldn't have been killed." Cyrus said in a tone of responsibility, "The Chamber of Secrets has been opened again. I want to find out who the murderer is, so I plan to infiltrate Slytherin with Harry and the others to see if we can find any clues."

"It's not your fault, Mr. Riddle!" Ginny said forcefully, "Who knows how crazy the heir of Slytherin is? Even if it's not Colin, it will be someone else. His goal is to eliminate Muggles!"

He also told Ginny about the compound potion to prevent it from being exposed.

"Sorry Ginny, I might have to borrow your body a lot during this period."

"It's okay Mr. Riddle, if only we could find the heir of Slytherin sooner," Ginny said, shaking her head.

Ginny could fully understand Mr. Riddle's self-blame at this time, so she agreed to Cyrus' request without hesitation. And she almost forgot about Quidditch.

So in the following period of time, Ginny was conscious even less.

In December, heavy snow began to fall at Hogwarts.

Professor McGonagall brought a large stack of forms and asked those who planned to stay in school to fill out their applications.

"Malfoy is staying at school over Christmas!" said Harry in surprise.

“This is very suspicious.”

"But the Polyjuice Potion hasn't been brewed yet." Hermione said urgently, "We have to steal the potion in Potions class this Thursday, otherwise we will be too late. It's best to make a feint to the east and attack in the west!"

Harry and Ron both looked unhappy. Instead of asking them to steal the potion, Harry would rather go and fight Voldemort.

"What? No! I can't let you get fired!" Ron said fearlessly, "I'd better go!"

Hermione quickly refused: "I can go because I don't have a criminal record."

"It would be hard for Snape not to notice that there was a missing student in the class, right?" Cyrus asked back.

"But Snape's office is at the back of the classroom. How could you sneak in while we're in class?"

"There is a way..." Cyrus looked at Harry. He was determined to go to Snape's office. "Lend me your Invisibility Cloak."

"I had forgotten I had the Invisibility Cloak," said Harry suddenly.

Every time he was done using the Invisibility Cloak, he would throw it around like it was not one of the Deathly Hallows but a torn windbreaker.

At night, Cyrus got Harry's invisibility cloak, and that night he wandered around the castle wearing the cloak.

"What is so special about the legendary Deathly Hallows?"

In his opinion, the magic of this invisibility cloak was no more powerful than a perfect Disillusionment Charm. Compared with the invincible Elder Wand and the Resurrection Stone that could resurrect the dead, it was indeed somewhat mediocre.

"If you can't escape Moody's evil eyes, how can you escape the eyes of the god of death?"

"Or maybe the legends are just legends, like Dumbledore said, the Peverell brothers were just very powerful and dangerous wizards who managed to create these extremely powerful artifacts. The story of the Deathly Hallows is just some kind of legend that has emerged around these inventions."

This possibility is indeed greater. Since Nicolas Flamel can create the Philosopher's Stone that can turn stone into gold and grant immortality, it is not so difficult to accept that the three brothers could create the Resurrection Stone that can bring the dead back to life.

The power of the Elder Wand also seems to be closely related to the curse.

But whether the legend of the Deathly Hallows is true or false, the three objects do have their own special features.

Cyrus stroked his cold cloak and slowly came to the eighth floor.

"I need a room where I can study magic items."

"I need a room where I can study magic items."

"I need a room where I can study magic items."

As he repeated this sentence in his mind and turned around for the third time under the portrait of the troll, a door appeared on the blank wall.

Cyrus took off his cloak, opened the door and walked in. The door disappeared immediately.

This is a room that is somewhat similar to the potion classroom, but not exactly the same. In addition to various crucibles, there are also many mechanical objects, or objects that look like machines. In fact, they are all products of alchemy.

In the wizarding world, alchemy and potions are not completely independent, but an intersection.
