Chapter 14 Franklin

Chapter 14 Franklin

The next day, when Mike woke up, the sun was already shining brightly. The sun shone through the glass window onto Mike's face, and his short blond hair reflected dazzling light under the sunlight.

From time to time, there would be shadows passing by outside the window. They were owls returning from delivering mail. These hardworking messengers had experienced a long journey overnight, and now they urgently needed to go to the Owl House on the west side of Ravenclaw Tower to eat something and sleep.

With a regular knock on the door, Mike squinted and sat up from the bed. Scratching his head, he found that he might need a haircut. His original short hair had become longer without him noticing, and it didn't feel as comfortable as before.

After adapting to the dazzling sunlight, Mike didn't rush to open the door.

He picked up the water cup from the bedside table and drank a sip of the water that he hadn't finished drinking last night. Mike began to tidy up his clothes. Because of meditation last night, Mike fell asleep without even taking off his clothes, and now his clothes were full of wrinkles.

After cleaning up and tidying up his clothes, Mike opened the door.

Standing outside the door was a tall black guy, who was almost half a head taller than Mike. You should know that Mike was already quite tall among his peers.

This black guy was Franklin Clinton, a freshman in the same college as Mike.

"Hey, Mike, good morning." Franklin was not impatient because he had been waiting outside the door for a long time. "It looks like you have finished washing up. Let's go quickly. We have the Defense Against the Dark Arts class this morning and we are late."

"Oh, okay Franklin." Mike was a little surprised that Franklin, a classmate who had just spoken to him for a few words, would come to wake him up and even be late for class himself. "I'm sorry, too many things happened yesterday, and I slept a little longer."

"Don't say that, we are friends, aren't we? Friends should help each other." Franklin showed his white, reflective teeth, and said with a smile, "But we really have to go faster, we are late."

Mike didn't care about Franklin's words, and said, "Don't worry, the professor of the Defense Against the Dark Arts class is Quirrell, the stuttering clown, he also graduated from Ravenclaw, he won't make things difficult for us."

"That's good." Franklin breathed a sigh of relief and slowed down his pace, "But what does the clown mean."

"You'll know later." Mike licked his teeth and smiled meaningfully. "In fact, I was also surprised that Quirrell actually graduated from Ravenclaw. His current appearance is simply embarrassing Ravenclaw."

The two talked and laughed all the way, and even went to the restaurant to get breakfast.

During the conversation, Mike told Franklin a lot about Hogwarts, including the factional struggles between the four colleges and many strange stories.

When the two came to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, Quirrell was standing on the podium, holding a book and stuttering. Most of the young wizards under the podium looked like they were going to listen to the class carefully even though they were very sleepy. Quirrell

saw the two people who were late, put down the book in his hand, and was interrupted by Mike just as he was about to speak.

"Respected Senior Quirrell, please forgive us." Mike hid the breakfast he brought in his robes. "Hogwarts is really too big. We got lost on the way to the classroom."

"Okay... okay, Mike and... and this gentleman, please... please come in." Quirrell stuttered after hearing Mike's words.

This class was taught by Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff together. The classroom was divided into two parts, one yellow and one blue, by the students of the two colleges. Everyone tacitly chose to sit with their classmates from their own college.

But Mike didn't care about these. He took Franklin to the most secluded corner of the entire classroom.

There was also a short Hufflepuff boy sitting here. This boy seemed a little timid. Seeing that Mike and Franklin, the two tall Ravenclaws, seemed to want to sit next to him, he immediately stood up and stood straight. He bowed to the two and ran to the empty seat in front. Mike naturally

didn't care about these and sat down calmly. Franklin was a little hesitant, but seeing that Mike didn't care, he also sat down.

Two blue spots appeared in a large area of yellow. Even though the corner chosen by Mike was very hidden, it was still very eye-catching from the podium.

But Mike didn't care. He chose this corner just to show that he would give Quirrell a face. With Quirrell's current timid state, as long as he didn't provoke him too much, he would ignore him.

Mike took out two slices of bread from his robe, and took out a sausage wrapped in oil paper from his pocket. He untied the oil paper and made a simple hot dog with the two and ate it.

Franklin next to him was obviously not as bold as Mike. Sitting among a group of Hufflepuffs made him a little nervous.

But seeing that Mike was eating deliciously, he also learned to make a hot dog and ate it bite by bite.

"I admire you, Mike." Franklin stopped after eating two bites, "You can get along so well with professors and classmates. Just like just now, Professor Quirrell called out your name, and called me the freshman."

Mike finished the hot dog in his hand in a few bites, and felt a little thirsty, so he took the water bottle that the Hufflepuff forgot to take away and took a big sip.

It turned out that it was not water but some kind of drink, sweet and delicious.

"It's enough for me to know your name, Franklin. In fact, I have noticed you for a long time, a black man with strong limbs but a simple mind. A young man who is not good at speaking but longs for friends." Mike put down the kettle, "You don't need to feel sorry for yourself, you are my friend Mike Townley. You are not worse than others. To be honest, your magic talent is amazing!"

Franklin's black face was excited and turned red. This was the first time someone praised him since he came to Hogwarts.

Mike looked at Franklin's excited expression and couldn't help but be speechless. This child is too lacking in love, right? He just instinctively came up with a wave of commercial praise, but he was so excited.

Professor Quirrell on the stage was still reading from the textbook, but from time to time he cast his eyes on the blue in the large yellow.

Franklin kept telling Mike about everything about himself, from his bad family to the strange looks he received after coming to Hogwarts because of his figure and poor speaking skills.

Mike responded to him intermittently, and the drink in the kettle in his hand had been drunk up without him noticing.

To be honest, this drink is really good. I will ask the boy what brand of drink this is after class.

Finally, when the bell rang, Franklin finally shut up.

But he still looked at Mike with a burning gaze. Mike was a little scared by his stare, and he quickened his pace and walked out of the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, and Franklin followed Mike out.

Don't blame me for being slow, really.

I think I wrote the previous plot too fast.

It may make you feel a little naive when reading it.

So I deliberately added some material and wrote it a little slower.

Also, please collect and recommend it.
