Chapter 30 Playing the Violin
Hearing the curses from the club foreman outside the door, Lin Shutang stood up and walked out of the box: "I can pull it."
The two people who had been staring at her didn't expect her to speak suddenly. When they wanted to stop her, the foreman was already talking to Lin Shutang about trying out the music, so they had to give up.
Xicheng Club is not something they can afford to offend.
After trying out the music, Lin Shutang was taken to a private room on the third floor. This room was probably used to entertain VIP clients. It was at least three times the size of the one Qin Anyong had taken her to before. It also had a half-floor attic and was fully furnished. It was called a club room, but it felt more like a private residence.
The violin playing place was on the first floor of the box. The foreman replaced the violin with a better one for Lin Shutang and also gave her a silk veil.
"You can wear the veil if you want to, or not. Someone will bring in a screen soon." As he moved, he glanced up and down at Lin Shutang, and then said, "Your dress is not bad at all. Let's keep it like this for now! Wear it well. If the customer is satisfied, we can have a long-term cooperation in the future. You will get 500 yuan for each song, and any tips from the customers will be yours."
Each piece of music was generally under five minutes, most of the time less. Even if we calculated it as five minutes, excluding the breaks, the hourly wage was around four thousand. Lin Shutang wasn't a famous performer, so this was already a very high price.
"Thank you." She said gratefully, glanced towards the door, and then looked at the foreman inquiringly.
"Don't worry, as long as they are smart, they won't just walk through this door. When it's over, just go up to the attic and leave through another door."
The foreman realized that Lin Shutang might have been brought in by force by a boss.
However, he didn't take it to heart. In Jing City, apart from those top families, Xicheng didn't take anyone else seriously.
Furthermore, Xicheng had already announced to the public that no one was allowed to do anything dirty in the club. The other party had openly violated Xicheng's rules first, so there was no need for him to save face.
Holding the bow, Lin Shutang's nerves, which had been tense all night, finally relaxed.
Two male waiters brought in an embroidered screen to block Lin Shutang.
Then, after a while, Lin Shutang heard several footsteps coming in from outside.
A signal came from the intercom saying that I could start playing the violin.
"Why so late?"
"The flight was delayed for a few minutes."
After Lin Shutang started playing the violin, he immersed himself in his own world and didn't pay attention to what the speaker was saying.
The first piece of music was Debussy's "Moonlight", with piano music pouring down slowly.
The man passing by the screen paused, turned his head to look at the blurry figure through the thin curtain and asked, "Did someone change?"
"It should be."
The current one is obviously much higher than the previous one.
The two walked to the sofa and sat down. Li Yansheng leaned on the sofa with his eyes closed, pinching his eyebrows to relieve his fatigue.
"Would you like someone to prepare you a cup of hangover tea?"
"Need not."
After the first song ended, Li Yansheng stood up and picked up the cigarette box and lighter on the table: "Go to the attic?"
Chen Jinyao stood up and followed him upstairs.
The song downstairs changed to "wonderfulu".
"It's a completely different style, but it's more lively than before." Chen Jinyao sat on the sofa in the loft with a smile on his face.
A travel-weary person might not be interested in listening to that style of music, so he asked, "Do you want someone to change it?"
Li Yansheng looked down at the girl downstairs and slowly exhaled a puff of smoke: "No need."
