Chapter 42 Bear the Consequences
Lin Shutang saw Li Yansheng again at the Chen family villa. She had initially assumed the Chen family would fire her after that incident, but until the make-up class, she received no texts or calls telling her not to come. She didn't know if Li Yansheng hadn't told the Chen family about her seductive intent, if they didn't think it would have much of an impact, or if they hadn't yet told her.
Of these three possibilities, Lin Shutang prefers the last one.
When they entered the Chen family villa, Mrs. Chen was already waiting in the living room, a polite smile on her face. "Shutang, you're finally here. Xiaoling is waiting for you upstairs. This child has been reading it several times and keeps asking when Teacher Xiaolin will arrive. Come up quickly!"
Lin Shutang smiled faintly, his eyes scrutinizing Mrs. Chen's face, trying to find some clues. But her expression remained the same as usual, and he found nothing.

Lin Shutang went upstairs, and when he reached the central platform of the stairs, he happened to meet Li Yansheng who was coming downstairs.
He was holding a cell phone in his right hand and was making a call.
Noticing the figure in front of him, the man paused as he walked down the stairs, but he continued to give instructions: "I have something else to do here, it will take about two and a half hours... Let's talk tomorrow..."
At this moment, his usual good temper had vanished, his direct voice brimming with the composure and steadiness of a leader in power. Unlike his early twenties, he possessed a natural charm that only belongs to a mature man.

Hearing the familiar voice, Li Yansheng raised his eyes and silently looked towards her. The girl was holding a stack of documents in her arms. She stood quietly beside him while he spoke, her eyes sparkling with water, her face fair and clean, and she looked quiet.
He nodded slightly in response, then stepped down three steps and continued downstairs.
There was no deliberate avoidance, nor any deliberate closeness, only a frank response. Such a frank action, every detail told Lin Shutang how much of a failure this seduction was. She was the only one who could still remember the scene of that day vividly.
Lin Shutang suddenly didn't want to look at him anymore, so he held the book and walked upstairs imitating his movements with big strides.
From an angle where she couldn't see, Li Yansheng turned around and watched her stubborn back as she went up the stairs, his brows and eyes deep.
Halfway through the class, Lin Shutang heard some noise downstairs and thought that the Chen couple was arguing.
"Xiaoling, let's take a break for ten minutes before continuing." After leaving a message for Chen Runling, he walked towards the door, intending to persuade her.
I walked to the door, but couldn't take another step.
Zhang Wanxin's voice was filled with a hint of anger: "What does this have to do with Shutang? You men are always shirking responsibility. It was Yansheng who took Shutang to the club for the night, but now she is asked to bear the consequences. There is no such thing in the world."
Chen Jinyao spoke in a gentle voice, as if coaxing a child: "I know you like this child. He has a good personality and is excellent. Not only you, I am also satisfied with this child."
"Then you still want to drive them away?"
"We're not kicking her out, we're just suspending her tutoring for a while. Once Yansheng's situation is completely resolved, we'll let her continue. Don't worry, it'll only take half a year at most. You know the Li family's situation, and you definitely don't want Shutang to get hurt."
Zhang Wanxin's tone softened a bit, but she still said, "I don't care about your business matters. After all, I chose Shutang, and no one else can let her go except me. What you and Yansheng think is your own business, so figure it out on your own."
