Chapter 80 "Did you miss me?"

Chapter 80 "Did you miss me?"

Perhaps due to her long years living under someone else's roof, she was often more mature than the average girl. But occasionally, she'd crack such harmless jokes. Li Yansheng was used to it.

Li Yansheng, for once, had a somewhat amusing thought. He raised his hand and signaled the people in the office to leave.

After the people left, he asked, "Did you miss me?"

Li Yansheng usually appeared calm and reserved, his emotions hidden from view. Even in bed, he never said such words. Hearing this, Lin Shutang was unsure how to react.

She was a coward. When Li Yansheng was like that before, she could say those words without restraint, but now that he said it so bluntly, she backed off instead.

Li Yansheng knew she was only that daring, so he didn't take the joke and stopped talking. He returned to the previous topic and said, "Pick one you like."

"good."

Twenty minutes had passed since he hung up the phone and returned to the sofa area. Lin Shutang looked at Secretary Tang apologetically and said, "Miss Tang, I'm sorry. I just received a call."

Secretary Tang still had a professional smile on his face, showing no sign of anger. Lin Shutang thought that anyone who could stay with Li Yansheng was indeed extraordinary.

Lin Shutang finally chose a smaller phone, 6.3 inches, which was just right to hold in his hand.

After making her selection, she glanced at her phone screen and saw that it was almost eleven o'clock.

Seeing Secretary Tang stand up, Aunt Lu came out of the kitchen: "Miss, are you ready to eat?"

Secretary Tang heard the voice and turned to look at Aunt Lu. Such a question was the tone one would use to address the host.

Lin Shutang asked: "Isn't he coming back to eat?"

Aunt Lu: "My husband said he had a lunch appointment when he left, so he wouldn't be back. There's no need to wait for him."

Secretary Tang was surprised again when she heard this. She hadn't expected Li Yansheng to leave a message for Lin Shutang before leaving. It seemed that the person in front of her had a different status in the boss's heart.

Lin Shutang looked at Secretary Tang and said, "Miss Tang, please stay and have dinner with us!"

Secretary Tang smiled and declined: "Thank you, but I have plans to have dinner with my colleagues, so I won't bother you."

Most people were just being polite when they said this, but she wasn't so tactless as to actually stay for dinner.

After dinner, Aunt Lu brought a bowl of Chinese medicine. When Lin Shutang saw the black bowl of Chinese medicine, he felt a headache.

She didn't drink it yesterday and thought she wouldn't have to drink it in the future. Unexpectedly, she saw it again today.

Aunt Lu saw her inner resistance and explained with a smile: "Master has asked someone to change the prescription. This one should not be as bitter as the previous one."

Lin Shutang looked up at Aunt Lu, then at the black Chinese medicine in front of him, feeling a little unconvinced.

Chinese medicine is all the same, so how can the degree of bitterness be different?

Lin Shutang reluctantly picked up the bowl and drank it. Fortunately, the temperature was just right, otherwise it would have been even more painful.

However, after drinking it, I felt that it was indeed not as bitter as before. It was still hard to drink, but it didn't have the bitter feeling that made me want to vomit.

In the afternoon, Lin Shutang didn't go out because he had nothing to do. He stayed on the sofa and wrote his thesis.

This paper was the one she would use for graduation. When she first started a few months ago, everything was going smoothly.

But philosophy is full of surprises. Things that seemed clear to me before may not seem so clear to me now.

Unable to continue writing, Lin Shutang went to look through the literature again.

When Li Yansheng came back around 8pm, Aunt Lu was still awake. Seeing him coming back, she stood up and went to greet him.

"gentlemen?"

"She's upstairs?"

"Yeah." Aunt Lu said with some concern: "Miss Lin sat on the sofa for a while after lunch and then went upstairs. She didn't come down when I called her for dinner."

Li Yansheng frowned slightly, put down the car keys at the entrance, and then went upstairs.
