The lewd man stopped her from continuing his harassment, even attempting to touch her inappropriately, buzzing around Jiang Hua's ear like a fly that wouldn't leave. She covered her head with one hand and pushed the man away with the other, somehow managing to find her way to the toilet. She dry-heaved for a while inside, almost falling asleep on the toilet. It wasn't until someone knocked on the door that she sluggishly got up, leaning against the wall, and went outside.
The man who had been bothering her earlier was persistent; he waited outside the bathroom the whole time. As soon as she came out, he stopped her and said, "Come on, beauty, I almost had to go in and get you. You're so drunk, it's worrying. Come home with me." He tried to force her, clinging to Jiang Hua and refusing to let go. She was already drunk and weak, so she was basically being dragged along.
Despite being drunk, Jiang Hua instinctively wanted to protect herself. Perhaps out of instinct, she suddenly bent down and picked up her high heels to hit him. The man released her in pain and shouted, "You madman, you're drunk and still not behaving yourself!"
Hearing him curse at her, Jiang Hua angrily threw her shoe at him, and the man left, still grumbling. Now that no one was bothering her, she staggered out of the bar and stood at the intersection, unsure what to do. She weakly clung to a pillar for support, barely managing to stay upright. After a while, she waved her left hand, trying to flag down a taxi, but no driver wanted to help a drunkard.
Undeterred, she shouted, "Stop the car! I want to go home! Stop the car now!"
Unable to flag down a taxi, Jiang Hua clung to a pillar, staring blankly at one spot. Just then, she heard a group of voices behind her. One of them shouted, "Look, she's still there! Let's see how you throw a tantrum this time, little wench!" It turned out to be the thug who had harassed her at the bar earlier, still lustful, who had returned to find her, accompanied by several accomplices.
Four or five petty thugs quickly ran over and surrounded Jiang Hua. One of the men, with a pointed face and a monkey-like appearance, grinned wickedly and said, "This is a top-quality piece of goods. Look at her big, watery eyes, and her delicate face is so tender it could drip water."
A group of people let out wicked laughs like male cats in heat. Another person grinned and stared at Jiang Hua's body, saying in a lewd tone, "Look at her long legs. If I could get her to wrap her legs around my waist, wow, just thinking about it would be awesome."
The lewd man said with a disdainful look, "What's the point of you just fantasizing like this? Hurry up and take her back before anyone notices, then we can do whatever we want."
Everyone else agreed with his idea, and two of them stepped forward, each trying to support Jiang Hua as they walked away. But she clung tightly to the pillar and wouldn't let go, shouting, "Help me! They're going to hit me! I can't fight them! Someone, come help me!" Her words sounded like a plea for help, but they also sounded funny.
Covering her mouth, the lewd man threatened, "Shut up and don't move, or I'll do it to you right here. You're still causing trouble even when you're drunk. If I don't get rid of you tonight, I'll change my surname."
Seeing that they were about to drag her away, Jiang Hua struggled desperately, but she had no strength to break free and could only make futile resistance. The city at night was enchanting, with dazzling lights illuminating every street and a vibrant nightlife. However, no one seemed willing to care about these things; even as they watched someone being kidnapped, they remained numb and indifferent.
Tragedy seemed imminent. Just as the group was gloating, thinking they were about to succeed, Gu Yiming suddenly appeared. He stood coldly in front of them, his imposing presence immediately apparent. The group was stunned by his aura, but then they thought, "There are four or five of us. How can we be afraid of just one person?"
The sleazy man mustered his courage and shouted weakly, "If you know what's good for you, get out of the way and don't ruin our good time, or you'll be sorry."
Unfazed by his threats, Gu Yiming sneered, "You bunch of rabble dare to provoke me? If you have any sense, release the people now, or you'll suffer a terrible fate."
Judging from his arrogant words and the fact that his attire was quite expensive, he must be a formidable figure. The others were a little intimidated, afraid of messing with someone they shouldn't. The man with the pointed face and monkey-like features leaned close to the lewd man's ear and whispered, "This guy is probably not someone we can afford to mess with. Maybe we should just let it go. There's no need to risk ourselves for a woman."
The sleazy man hesitated. He sized up Gu Yiming; he was tall and imposing, probably someone who had trained. Moreover, people were constantly noticing them, and who knew if he had accomplices? More importantly, judging from Gu Yiming's expression, he was determined to save this drunkard. But he wasn't willing to just leave like this, so he bargained, "If you want the man, you have to give the brothers some benefits, right?"
Although he really didn't want to get involved, considering Jiang Hua's safety, he was afraid he wouldn't have time to attend to her if a fight broke out. After a moment's thought, Gu Yiming took out his leather wallet, took out all the cash inside, and threw it at them. He said sternly, "That's all you have. Take it and get out of here."
Looking at the stack of 100-yuan bills on the ground, the greedy thugs clearly felt it wasn't enough; it wouldn't last them a few days. The sleazy man scoffed, "Are you trying to feed a beggar? What can you do with so little money?"
The others also expressed their dissatisfaction, wanting to squeeze more money out of them. Gu Yiming gradually lost patience, rolled up his sleeves, frowned, and said, "Fine, if you think it's too little, then forget it. Do you want to fight or something?"
These were just a bunch of nobodies bluffing. Once they realized it was going to be serious, they dropped the person they were supporting and frantically picked up the money on the ground and ran. Without support, Jiang Hua quickly fell to the ground. Gu Yiming rushed forward to help her up. She clung to him like the only piece of driftwood in the water, her hands gripping his collar tightly, making him feel a sudden sense of suffocation.
With a livid face, Gu Yiming gritted his teeth and warned, "Aren't you going to let go? Are you trying to exhaust me?" He was worried about her not coming home so late, so he went out to look for her. He even managed to rescue her from a pack of wolves, and this is the treatment she gets.
Jiang Hua carefully pried open her fingers one by one, gripping her collar tightly, and made her hug his waist before leading her to his car. After some effort, he got her into the driver's seat, secured her with the seatbelt, and, catching his breath, walked around the front of the car to return to the driver's seat.
She was rambling incoherently the whole way home. As soon as Gu Yiming parked the car, the drunk woman suddenly unbuckled her seatbelt, opened the car door, and got out. She then ran off, completely disoriented. Gu Yiming was stunned for a moment, then reacted, got out of the car, chased after her, and carried her back inside.
Jiang Hua, who was being held and unable to move, trembled violently and said with a silly smile, "I want to go home and sleep. You are all bad people. Where do you want to take me?" It seems that she still knew that she was almost kidnapped.
Amused by her drunkenness, Gu Yiming warned again, "Don't sway around. We're going up the stairs. If you don't want to fall, behave yourself." He wasn't sure if she understood, but she really didn't move again.
