Chapter 671 Bodyguard

"You still care about me?" she thought to herself, but didn't show it on her face. "Why did you hire a bodyguard? I'd rather get into trouble." Jiang Hua's eyes flickered slightly, but her tone was sarcastic. It's no wonder she was angry with Gu Yiming. Who told her to hear Jiang Shiwan ask him if he would divorce her as soon as she walked to the door, and he actually answered yes.

Although she knew Gu Yiming had been tricked by Jiang Hua, she was still very unhappy. She gave Gu Yiming a look that told him to figure it out himself, and then stopped looking at him. Gu Yiming's eyes were deep and unfathomable as he looked at the little woman in front of him, whose face was flushed with a hint of peach blossoms and who exuded a seductive charm. An inexplicable fire rose in his heart.

"You little woman, just you wait, I'll get my hands on you later." Gu Yiming gritted his teeth and groveled before Jiang Hua, because Jiang Hua had caught him red-handed this time. "I was wrong, okay? There will never be a next time. This was really an accident," Gu Yiming practically swore, but he finally managed to appease this troublesome little devil.

"Now, can we go choose a bodyguard?" Gu Yiming said with a hint of a smile, his burning gaze full of helplessness and doting. Who told him to fall for Jiang Hua? Jiang Hua chuckled, her mood improving considerably. She maintained her composure, "Since you insist, then I'll reluctantly go with you to choose one." She huffed, adopting the airs of a princess, and extended her hand for Gu Yiming to help her.

Gu Yiming was speechless, clenching his fists. Looking at Jiang Hua's threatening yet smug eyes, he really wanted to slap her. "Your Highness, please," he bowed, adopting a gentlemanly posture, and smiled deeply to match Jiang Hua's expression. If anyone in his office saw Gu Yiming's smile at this moment, they would definitely exclaim in alarm, "Oh no, someone's going to die!" because those who had seen Gu Yiming's smile in the end were all too unbearable to look at.

But Jiang Hua had no idea. She was being dragged around by Gu Yiming to choose bodyguards. She walked back and forth in front of the bodyguards, nodding occasionally to indicate she liked them. Seeing Jiang Hua's behavior, the bodyguards exchanged bewildered glances, unsure what to do. Gu Yiming was exasperated, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

"You, you, and you—from now on, follow me," Jiang Hua said domineeringly to the handsome bodyguards. "Little brothers, from now on you are my people, Jiang Hua's people." She finished speaking with a giggle, ignoring Gu Yiming's deep gaze as if she hadn't seen him.

"Aren't you deliberately trying to annoy me?" Gu Yiming pulled Jiang Hua aside and whispered. He didn't want Jiang Hua to be angry, but he was still jealous of her. After all, bodyguards surrounded Jiang Hua every day, and these bodyguards looked very handsome. If she were to be kidnapped, where would he go to cry?

If looks could kill, Jiang Hua would have been killed countless times by Gu Yiming. He was negotiating with Jiang Hua, saying that these handsome guys didn't look like good people, and then pointed to a few less handsome ones, wanting to replace them. He would never admit that he wanted to replace Jiang Hua's bodyguards because he was jealous; he was clearly doing it for her own good, so his tone became increasingly self-righteous.

"Hmph, you clearly just want to replace them with ugly ones. Don't think I don't know. No way, absolutely not. I want them to be pleasing to the eye." After saying that, she turned her head away and ignored them, giving the impression that she would immediately turn on them if they dared to replace them.

Seeing Jiang Hua's reluctant expression, Gu Yiming glared at her unhappily. When she saw him looking at her, Jiang Hua turned and stared back at Gu Yiming without saying a word. The two stared at each other, the bodyguards trying to minimize their presence, heads bowed and silent. "Gu Yiming, that's my word. I only want these few. If you dare to replace them, you'll regret it," she said, pointing to the bodyguards she had chosen. She then grabbed her bag from the sofa, pushed open the door, and quickly led them away.

Gu Yiming was stunned. When he came to his senses, he found that Jiang Hua had already vanished. He thought to himself, "No wonder she dared to get angry; she had already planned her escape." Gu Yiming then revealed his usual gentle smile, which sent a chill down the spines of those around him. "Jiang Hua, you dare to play me? You wait and see what I do to you!" His deep voice echoed in the room, not carrying out, but rather sounding sinister and sending shivers down their spines.

Jiang Hua, who walked out with several handsome bodyguards, almost had her eyes disappear from laughing. "Who told you to always bully me? Now that I finally get a chance to tease you, how can I give up?" Jiang Hua was like a naughty child, bullying someone and then laughing triumphantly.

Passersby turned their heads and stared curiously at Jiang Hua and her group, because Jiang Hua, with her bodyguards, was too conspicuous. Jiang Hua was happy that she had tricked Gu Yiming when a handsome bodyguard suddenly blushed and said to Jiang Hua, "Sister Hua Hua, I am your little 'fanboy'. Your acting is so good, I especially like watching your movies, and you are also very beautiful. I never thought I could be your bodyguard." After saying that, he stared intently at Jiang Hua, wanting to see her reaction.

Jiang Hua was secretly pleased to be complimented by a handsome young man, but she didn't show it on her face. She softly thanked him for his kind words, after all, she was a public figure and had an image to maintain. She indulged in a moment of self-admiration. She hadn't expected her charm to be so great; she had won over the blushing young man, making him admire her even more.

As Jiang Hua chatted with him, she secretly marveled at her own charm. If Gu Yiming were here, he would definitely laugh at her for being narcissistic again. But it didn't matter; she wouldn't give Gu Yiming the chance to laugh at her. Gu Yiming had already laughed at her countless times; if he found out again, she would lose all her standing.

Jiang Hua was amused by the young man, and then she signed his autograph. The young man treated the autograph like a treasure, which made Jiang Hua feel narcissistic for a while.

"Jiang Hua, you've really grown wings now, daring to even trick me." Gu Yiming's eyes darkened slightly, looking as if he wanted to devour someone, because Jiang Hua had angered him so much that he never expected to be tricked by her.

It was all because he didn't want to upset her that he didn't take her little tricks seriously. Unexpectedly, this led to the appearance of several dangerous people around her. Of course, these dangerous people refer to men who could threaten his position in Jiang Hua's heart. Although they weren't as handsome as him, he still found them very unpleasant to look at. Gu Yiming thought to himself with self-admiration.

Although he knew Jiang Hua wouldn't betray him and was only doing this to spite him, he was still jealous. After all, Jiang Hua was his, and he didn't want others to see how good she was. His eyes were cold, and a hint of a smile flashed across them. "You're finished when you get home," Gu Yiming muttered to himself.
