Chapter 692 Crushing

Gu Jingtian stammered, "It's nothing, you go back and get busy, I'm going out now." After saying that, he didn't ask Jiang Hua for a goodbye kiss like before, and prepared to escape again.

His action amused Jiang Hua. Leaning against the wall, she watched him awkwardly bend down to put on his shoes, his every move tinged with a hint of panic. She chuckled softly and continued teasingly, "Gu Jingtian, are you still shy? Surely not, it's just a normal confession..."

Before she could finish complaining, Gu Jingtian, whose thoughts had been exposed, blushed slightly, looked up and glared at her, interrupting her, "Shut up! If you're so free, I think you should have your agent find you some work."

Having finally gotten a break, how could she let herself be so easily brought back to her old self? She had no choice but to fawn over him, taking his arm and pleading like a little woman, "Oh, Mr. Gu, please don't do that. I'll go do some housework right away, okay?"

She had those sparkling, starry eyes again, but Gu Jingtian wasn't fooled much. He withdrew his hand, lowered his gaze, calmed himself, and murmured an "Mmm" as he prepared to leave. Her expression was simply too pleasing to him; he definitely couldn't stay any longer.

I'm going out.

The voice, which was still cool and aloof, now carried a different meaning, making people want to figure it out.

As the door opened and closed quickly, Gu Jingtian's figure had already vanished from Jiang Hua's sight. By the time she came to her senses, Gu Jingtian was nowhere to be found.

Jiang Hua suddenly realized, halfway through her thought, that he was just shy again; otherwise, he wouldn't be behaving so strangely and awkwardly. Intrigued and seized by a playful impulse, Jiang Hua decided to go out and catch up with him. She planned to tease him a little more, then stop by his company. This idea formed in her mind, and for a moment, she found it wonderful.

She quickly changed her clothes in her room, casually tied her long hair into a ponytail, and applied some light makeup. Being a public figure, Jiang Hua also disguised herself. A long trench coat, a baseball cap, and a regular mask—Jiang Hua perfectly disguised herself as an ordinary passerby.

Ten minutes later, Jiang Hua had already finished getting ready. She figured Gu Jingtian hadn't gone far; he was probably just leaving the complex and about to get into his car. She should have called him then. Just as she was about to put on her shoes and leave, a call came in.

Seeing the contact name, Jiang Hua stopped in her tracks, her brows furrowing slightly. Jiang Shiwan? What did she want by calling? It was practically asking for trouble... Just as she was hesitating whether to answer, Jiang Hua noticed that Gu Jingtian had sent her a message, and the call naturally became a missed call.

The gist of the message was that he was going to discuss business with a partner and would be back late, telling her to be good at home. Jiang Hua replied with a few funny emojis, then lost interest. Discarding her disguise, she slowly returned to the sofa in the living room and listlessly sprawled out.

If it weren't for that phone call, Jiang Hua would have left immediately and then messaged Gu Jingtian to let him know she was out. Even if he had to go discuss a collaboration, he would definitely come back first to settle her in. That way, she could achieve her initial goal.

However, things didn't go as planned, and Jiang Shiwan's call came at a truly inopportune time. She was just about to call back to ask Jiang Shiwan what she wanted, and she felt that without a reasonable explanation, it would be impossible to alleviate her frustration.

But then, just a second later, Jiang Shiwan called, making Jiang Hua even more puzzled. Couldn't she have been a little more punctual? Couldn't she have just let Jiang Shiwan call back? Why is it that lately, the things she wants to do are either beaten to it or she can't get them done?

Perhaps Heaven saw that she was living too happily and became jealous.

Pulling back her wild imagination, Jiang Hua pressed the answer button, her voice sounding so unfamiliar: "Hello? Is there something you need?"

Hearing her voice on the other end of the phone, Jiang Shiwan was secretly pleased, thinking that she must have been having a hard time lately, and it seemed that her little tricks had some effect. So, the usually gentle and approachable Jiang Shiwan revealed her true colors in front of Jiang Shiwan, showing her ugly side.

"Little sister, how have you been? How are you doing? Judging from your voice, you must be having a hard time."

Jiang Hua felt nauseous at the sarcastic remarks. She sneered and retorted, "You're overthinking it. I'm fine, sister."

She emphasized the last syllable, as if she were mocking the hypocritical title.

Jiang Shiwan was slightly taken aback, somewhat incredulous. As the saying goes, three women make a drama, and the same goes for men. Their jealousy and rivalry should have driven Jiang Hua to the brink of collapse, and all she needed to do was stand up and laugh. But why was Jiang Hua's reaction so different from what she had imagined?

As she remained silent, Jiang Hua suddenly smiled sinisterly: "Do you think I don't know it was you who did this? I'm sorry, but the relationship between Gu Jingtian and me isn't something you can just destroy. Besides, you're nothing in his eyes. Why bother deceiving yourself and humiliating yourself?"

When Jiang Hua said this, she was full of confidence; it was a declaration of power and an expression of overwhelming dominance. She was a shining star in the night sky, while Jiang Shiwan wasn't even worthy of her attention, let alone stealing her man.

Jiang Hua's words were sharp and incisive. Jiang Shiwan on the other end of the phone turned pale, realizing she couldn't win the argument, so she snorted and hung up. After the dial tone, Jiang Hua shrugged; these were trivial matters to her.

Putting down her phone, Jiang Hua sat down at her computer to continue her intense gaming session. She planned to spend all her time playing games until Gu Jingtian returned.

Enraged, Jiang Shiwan went to find Xu Mo, whom she had completely infatuated with. Upon seeing him, she pounced on him, offering her red lips. Xu Mo, already quite submissive, knew exactly what Jiang Shiwan wanted the moment she saw her approaching.

After closing the door, Xu Mo kissed her as he carried her to the large bed in the bedroom. The room was dimly lit, and the two were deeply entwined, creating an extremely ambiguous atmosphere.

After venting her anger on desire, Jiang Shiwan and Xu Mo made love. Slightly panting, Jiang Shiwan leaned against Xu Mo's chest, remembering that phone call, and her anger flared up again.

Driven by resentment, her eyes turned terrifying and sinister. Coupled with her disheveled hair, she resembled a female ghost, her expression twisted and grotesque. Jiang Shiwan trembled slightly, suppressing her anger and trying her best to project a gentle and charming expression. However, it was too forced, and Xu Mo quickly noticed her unusual behavior.

"What's wrong? Does your wound hurt? Did I use too much force just now? Why are you shaking?" Xu Mo asked with concern, looking down at her. He knew her leg injury hadn't healed yet, and she must have walked quite a distance to find him, plus the exertion she had just endured.
