Chapter Thirteen discusses tactics

When Gu Yiming returned to his dorm, his roommates were all doing their own things. They greeted him when they saw him. Gu Yiming took off his tie and put his suit jacket in the closet.

"I'm going to take a shower first," Gu Yiming said, taking his pajamas into the bathroom.

After taking a shower, Gu Yiming felt his fatigue ease a bit.

He dried his still-unblown hair with a towel, opened his laptop, and logged into the game. He quickly entered his username and password and pressed Enter.

"I wonder how their painting practice went today." Gu Yiming opened his friends list.

When he saw that Di Ruhua was still online, he exclaimed in surprise. He glanced at the time again; it was already 10:45. Suppressing his excitement, he opened his friend chat.

[Chat] [A Glance]: Why are you still online?

[Chat] [Di Ruhua]: No, I said I would wait for you.

Jiang Hua's words warmed Gu Yiming's heart.

[Chat] [A Glance]: Is there a problem?

[Chat] [Di Ruhua]: There are no problems, everyone is practicing quite well.

[Chat] [A Glance]: It's so late, aren't you tired?

[Chat] [Di Ruhua]: It's okay, are you done with your work today?

[Chat] [Yi Gu]: Yeah, I'm done with work. I went back to my high school today.

[Chat] [Di Ruhua]: So you went back to high school? Where was your high school? Was it in the same city as S University?

Gu Yiming had told Jiang Hua before that he was studying at S University.

[Chat] [A Glance]: Yes, it's in M city.

[Chat] [Di Ruhua]: Really? I'm also from M City. Tell me which high school you went to, maybe I'll know.

[Chat] [A glance]: in a middle.

When Gu Yiming typed those two words, he was holding his breath. What if she found out? Would she find out? Would she remember him?

[Chat] [Di Ruhua]: Wow, what a coincidence! I'm also from A High School! I actually went to the same high school as the genius!

Jiang Hua on the other side of the screen gaped: What a coincidence! She became even more convinced that this game was the destiny that had brought her together.

[Chat] [A Glance]: Yeah, you too.

Jiang Hua looked at Gu Dashen's answer and felt a little indifferent. Was he not happy to meet his fellow alumnus? But she herself was very happy.

[Chat] [Di Ruhua]: Are you a humanities or science major? I'm so happy to meet a fellow alumnus!

[Chat] [A Glance]: Science.

[Chat] [Yi Gu]: It's getting late, you should rest first, I'm going to rest too.

Before Jiang Hua could even ask him which class he was in, he hurriedly said goodnight to her.

Gu Yiming dried his hair, lay on the bed, and kept his eyes open.

What Jiang Hua didn't know was that Gu Yiming was afraid that he would impulsively tell Jiang Hua everything, even though he knew in his heart that now was not the right time.

Jiang Hua looked at her friend's profile picture that had gone dark on the computer screen, then shut down the computer.

My heart is overflowing with excitement.

"So it turns out I have such a strong connection with Master Yi Gu! Maybe we've even met a few times before!" Jiang Hua thought happily. "It seems Master Yi Gu was destined to be sent to me to grant me the 'Miracle of Alice'!"

After that night, every day from 7 PM to 9 PM, Yi Gu would accompany Jiang Hua and the guild members to practice monster hunting and cultivate teamwork. The participants for the competition were also finalized: Chu Meng Chun Xia, Di Ru Hua, Yi Gu, Mo Du, and Xiao Ai Zi De Huang Di. After confirming the team, Jiang Hua was overjoyed. How could such a team not win?

At first, Jiang Hua still had some distance and distance from Gu Yiming due to their different social statuses, but in the past two weeks, their relationship has quickly warmed up during their gaming sessions, and they have become close friends who can talk about anything.

Gradually, Jiang Hua also developed the habit of having a voice chat with Gu Yiming every night.

"Yi Gu, we've been playing games together for so long, and I still don't know your real name. What's your real name?" Jiang Hua finally asked Yi Gu's name one night when they were having a voice chat.

"Jiang Ming".

"And what about you? What's your name?" A deep, magnetic voice came through the headset to Jiang Hua's ears.

"Wow, you also have the surname Jiang! We're even from the same clan!"

“My name is Jiang Hua, I study at S University. You can call me Xiao Hua, or whatever you prefer,” Jiang Hua replied playfully.

“Then let’s draw,” Yi Gu replied decisively.

"Painting?" Jiang Hua asked, puzzled.

"Yes, Huahua, is it okay for me to call you that?" Gu's voice sounded slightly nervous.

"No, it's just that very few people call me that," Jiang Hua replied nonchalantly.

"Did someone call you before?"

"Yes, it's one of my high school deskmates." Jiang Hua thought for a moment and answered him seriously.

"Your former deskmate?" Gu's voice sounded pleasant, without any particular emotional fluctuation.

"Yes, he was my former deskmate. We really have a special connection; we were deskmates for three years, and he was the only one who would ask me to draw." Jiang Hua replied with a cheerful smile.

"That's quite a coincidence."

"So what kind of person is your deskmate?" Gu suddenly asked abruptly.
