Chapter 24 Problem Boy

Chapter 24 Problem Boy

Xu Jiqing is very thin.

Even though there were thin muscles on his arms, his joints were still bony. When no one pulled his sleeves, the elastic band could not hold his elbows and fell down in the summer breeze, and soon fell back to his wrists.

In the late summer evening, the cicadas were chirping noisily, the sunset was bright red and hot, and the air smelled of a mixture of dust and leather.

Xu Jiqing stood there under everyone's horrified gaze, without a trace of shame or embarrassment on his face.

His profile was pale and indifferent, eerily calm, like still, stagnant water.

It seems that those shocking scars are just everyone's imagination.

Li Rui was beaten up by Xu Jiqing for nothing and was still angry, but no one spoke up for him anymore.

The farce came to an abrupt end.

Perhaps because the atmosphere was too depressing, the boys who had been watching the excitement with the most enthusiasm stopped talking. Those who were far away had already gone back to practice with their balls. The two boys who pulled his sleeves didn't dare to look up and ran away with an excuse.

The physical education teacher cleared the room and held the roll call list with a complicated expression.

He just cares about his reputation, but he still has basic teacher ethics.

He had originally just wanted to assert his authority, but this almost ended up being an act of incitement to bullying. He felt guilty and a bit resentful, "Since you had a special situation, why didn't you tell me before?"

Xu Jiqing ignored him.

The base of his left palm was red from the previous jump serve, and his right hand was clenched into a fist, his thumb pressing down on the knuckle of his ring finger.

The teacher calmed down and looked at him carefully. "You don't want to catch the ball because you can't straighten your right hand?"

Only then did Xu Jiqing raise his head.

He stared at her for a long time, until the creeps on my back went up in my throat. "I don't need athletic scores. Is this question important?"

-

Physical education class is the last class in the afternoon.

It was not until the end of the second evening self-study get out of class that Xu Jiqing returned to Class 4 classroom as the bell rang.

He seemed completely unaffected by the incident and remained the same as before.

On the empty desk there was an exercise book and a black pen with a scratched plastic shell. He had no interest in chatting with anyone.

But the attitude of the students in the class towards him changed subtly.

The boys no longer mentioned his name jokingly as before, they no longer imitated him, they just peeped at him, and even when they went to the water dispenser in the back row to get water, they would deliberately avoid him and go around from another aisle.

Su Xia didn't take it seriously at first, until the next morning when Su Lijun drove her to school.

She casually clicked on the group chat history and swiped upwards.

Class 4 created a small group after the class division. Without a teacher, more than a thousand spam posts could be posted in one night.

Normally they would talk about games and sports matches, but today it was all about physical education class gossip, with Xu Jiqing's name as the central topic. Everyone was talking about all sorts of things.

That bad feeling came back again.

Su Xia's eyelids twitched.

When she came across the words "self-harm" and "crime", her heart sank and she stopped moving.

When I pushed open the classroom door, not many people were there yet. The math class representative was lying behind a book stand, playing with his cell phone while eating breakfast.

Su Xia quickly poked him and asked in a low voice, "What happened to Xu Jiqing...did he say it himself?"

She didn't finish her words, but the other party still understood.

"How is that possible?" the class representative turned halfway around and took a sip of the milk in his hand. "You're his deskmate, don't you know his temper? Of course we're just guessing."

"You girls were far away yesterday and didn't see anything. You don't know. Teacher Sun asked someone to pull up his sleeves. When they pulled him up, we were all scared to death."

"Have you seen that popular crime movie during the summer? The juvenile delinquent in it, buddy, his arms are almost the same size."

The boy said this in a mysterious tone, opening his palm to show her, "That long one."

"I don't understand. The sports committee member watches a lot of TV dramas like that. He said if it wasn't an open fracture, there's no need to sew it up like this. Oh, yes, you've heard of open fractures, right? It's when the broken bone protrudes through the flesh..."

His expression was curious and exaggerated.

Su Xia frowned and interrupted him, "What does this have to do with crime?"

The girl has fair skin and thick, shiny black hair, which is casually combed behind her head, giving her an air of nobility, as if her fingers are not stained by water.

The class representative curled his lips, looked at her with an "I knew it" look, and kindly explained to her, "Who in school would get into a fight like this? A little blood is a big deal, but a broken nose would get you on the whistleblower's list for days. Didn't Xu Jiqing drop out of school before? It's obvious, right?"

"I committed a crime in society and my hand was broken, so I write like that now."

"This is exclusive news, don't spread it. The sports committee member said he has a lot of cigarette scars on the other side of his face, and there are old wounds underneath. We all think they are self-inflicted."

Su Xia looked at him in disbelief.

The class monitor thought he had scared her.

He stuffed the last bite of bread into his mouth and concluded while chewing, "Just a friendly reminder, be careful next time. Don't think everything is good just because he looks good."

"He's the most terrifying person who can be so cruel to others and himself. Stay away from him as soon as possible."

Su Xia was silent for a while, "Have you finished reminding me?"

"ah?"

The boy blinked blankly, "About the same."

Su Xia nodded, stood up and walked out the door.

Her seat was by the window, and when she stood up, she pushed two chairs forward, making a harsh scraping sound on the floor tiles.

The class representative was startled by her and subconsciously sat up straight. "Oh my god...Princess, are you going to ask Teacher Ding to change seats? Can you take me with you? Even by the wall or in the last row is fine!"

Su Xia didn't even look back, walking faster and faster, her eyes red with anger, her temples throbbing.

It's your turn, you big-headed ghost.

She's going to sue them for fabricating lies and defamation!

-

It's a small matter for students to joke with each other.

But when it comes to serious topics like crime, no experienced class teacher will ignore it.

Su Xia paid the price of having her cell phone confiscated, in exchange for Teacher Ding checking the group chat records and talking to each of them one by one, telling them in detail that what happened in physical education class must never be mentioned again.

But after a night of fermentation, the rumors had already spread, and some versions were even outrageous to a new level.

The handsome guy who was parachuted into the S class of Mathematical Competition is a problem teenager who has been in jail in his hometown.

There is no evening study on Friday.

Su Xia ran to the administrative building and waited for a long time, but Xu Jiqing didn't come down.

As the sun sets and the school bell rings, young boys and girls, carrying their schoolbags, pour out of the various teaching buildings and jog towards the school gate in groups of two or three.

Su Xia hid in the shade of a tree, rubbing pebbles at her feet. She saw some vague figures in the classroom on the third floor of the administrative building and looked up frequently.

Thinking back carefully, she seemed to have heard outrageous rumors similar to today's in her previous life, but that was when she was in her third year of high school.

At that time, Xu Jiqing was obviously more cautious, like a silent pine tree, and kept his hand injury a secret for a whole year.

Even if it is finally exposed, it will not be in such a fierce form as it is now.

For someone so meticulous, Su Xia didn't believe that he hadn't considered the huge risks of standing out in physical education class.

She didn't understand, but she couldn't help but blame herself.

Because of her intervention in this life, many things about Xu Jiqing are different.

No one can predict what the future will be like.

But what if...it's worse than before?

The sun sets slowly.

After her cell phone was confiscated by Teacher Ding, she could not answer Su Lijun's call and must have been waiting anxiously at the school gate.

Su Xia waited outside the small door of the administrative building for half an hour, feeling extremely confused. It was not until the lights in the classrooms on the third floor were turned off that she returned to the classroom with her head down, ready to pack her schoolbag and go home.

When I got downstairs, I happened to run into Zhou Zhiyan and his group.

Only the last trace of golden red remained in the setting sun. The girl walked hurriedly, her hair had a circle of fluffy light edges, and the tips of her ears were pink.

Zhou Zhiyan has the habit of staying in school on Fridays to play ball.

This was a big event that Su Xia had marked on her calendar before. She often pretended that the band had something to do and lingered, just to meet him again by chance.

Not only he knew it, but everyone around him knew it.

The little girl has been avoiding him recently, and Zhou Zhiyan almost forgot about it.

Now, looking at Su Xia walking towards here with her head down, he didn't know if it was because they hadn't seen each other for a long time, but he felt a sense of anticipation in his heart that he didn't even want to admit.
