Chapter 9 Righteousness: Kurosawa is kidnapped online.
"Ah—murder—" Several passersby screamed and ran away, or looked for places to hide.
"Quick, find cover, there's a sniper." Kurosawa Jin used his intact left hand to grab Furuya Rei by the back of his collar and slipped behind a car parked on the side of the road.
"Are you alright?" Furuya Rei finally came to her senses and hurriedly went to check on Kurosawa Jin's injuries.
"It's nothing." Kurosawa Jin's brows were furrowed, and his voice was slightly hoarse.
His right hand hung limply at his sides, blood still gushing out; he certainly didn't look alright.
“If you bleed any more, you’ll lose too much blood.” Furuya Rei took off his apron and gently wrapped it around Kurosawa Jin’s arm.
"You've learned bandaging?" Kurosawa Jin looked at the wound that had stopped bleeding much, his face full of surprise.
“I learned from a doctor when I was a child,” Furuya Rei explained.
On the other side, Mika's second assassin was caught off guard by the two bullets. He leaned against the wall, trying his best to hide his body.
"Damn it, someone beat us to it!" Mihua's second assassin gritted his teeth, his mind in turmoil. "If the target dies, how am I supposed to explain this to Baileys!"
"There's a sniper on the other side; going out is suicide." Miwa's second assassin's expression was grave. "Hopefully, that idiot Snake One won't act rashly."
This might disappoint Mihua's second-in-command; Snake One's walnut-sized brain certainly wouldn't have considered this possibility.
How could he, Snake One, let someone steal his kill!
Snake One then put on the mask hanging around his neck, took out the pistol from his pocket, and fired three shots into the air.
The deafening sound exploded in the air like firecrackers.
"Don't move! Put your hands behind your heads and squat down!" Snake shouted at the crowd, looking just like a bandit robbing passersby.
When Mihua's second-in-command saw his subordinate brazenly appear on the street, his eyes widened in fury and he roared, "Idiot!"
They are assassins, not robbers.
He always felt that sooner or later he would be driven to the emergency room by a snake.
Then look at Snake One. After firing those three shots, he headed straight for the car where Kurosawa was hiding.
"You stay here, I'm going out." Kurosawa Jin was about to get up, but Furuya Rei grabbed his clothes tightly.
"No, you can't go out, you'll die!" Furuya Rei shook his head in strong disapproval.
“They’re after me. Don’t worry, I won’t die easily.” Kurosawa Jin stared at the high school student in front of him with a serious expression. “After you call the police, go to the Kurosawa Group’s security department and inform them of my situation.”
Given Furuya Rei's personality, no matter what Kurosawa Jin says, he won't give up and will have to resort to some special methods.
"I'm sorry for dragging you into this. If there's a chance next time, I'll definitely treat you to a meal."
Rei Furuya's pupils contracted, a sense of foreboding washing over him.
"Don't..." Before he could finish speaking, Kurosawa Jin quickly raised his hand and knocked Furuya Rei unconscious with a chop to the neck.
“Brother, how much did your employer pay for my life? I can pay three times that.” Kurosawa Jin said as he stood up, raising his hand palm outwards to neck height.
Upon hearing this, Snake hesitated visibly.
Are you telling the truth?
"Really, you must know my true identity, so I can still come up with that amount of money," Kurosawa Jin coaxed.
Three times! That's 150 billion! Snake One was ecstatic.
While Snake hesitated and relaxed, Kurosawa Jin, with lightning speed, raised his long leg and kicked the hand holding the gun.
The pistol traced a graceful arc in the air before finally sliding to the ground.
At the same time, Kurosawa Jin used his intact left hand to punch Kurosawa Jin in the abdomen, then grabbed Hebi's arm and swung him away with force, easily completing a standard over-the-shoulder throw.
"Ahhhhh!" Snake was thrown around and was completely disoriented, lying on the ground groaning.
Not far away, Mihua's second assassin cursed inwardly: "Idiot, he was fooled by just a few words, and I had to step in at the last minute."
He approached Kurosawa Jin from behind, gun in hand, and said, "Hands up."
Kurosawa Jin had already noticed the actions of Beika's second assassin. He pretended not to know and then hurriedly turned around.
"Haha, big brother, how about I offer four times the price?" Kurosawa Jin tried to tempt him with money again.
"Hmph, you think I'd fall for that? You're too naive." The second assassin of Mihua sneered like a villain. "Haha, weren't you pretty cocky just now?"
"Ah, hiss—" Snake clutched its belly and struggled to get up from the ground.
Seeing his subordinate's pathetic state, Mihua's second assassin took a deep breath and suppressed his anger. "Snake One, knock him unconscious."
"Yes, boss!" He drew his sword from his waist and stabbed Kurosawa Jin's fair neck without hesitation.
"Sizzle sizzle sizzle—"
"Thump!" Kurosawa Jin's eyes rolled back and he fell to the ground.
"Ha, pretty boy, you dare to hit me!" Snake One, smug and triumphant, kicked Kurosawa Jin in the abdomen in revenge.
The person kicked to the ground flew out and rolled several times.
"Alright, let's go. We can't stay here any longer," ordered Mihua's second assassin.
"Understood, boss." Snake One hoisted the Black Swamp Formation and followed behind the second assassin of Mihua.
High up in the building, Tanaka Hitomi put away his gun, having witnessed the whole spectacle.
"This time you're really in for it. I wonder if the young master can handle it?" He said with concern, but his expression carried a hint of schadenfreude.
"But Bai Miao is probably going to go crazy again." Tanaka Hitomi thought of the head of the security department of the Kurosawa Group and thought that it would be better for him to stay away.
Something really big happened today!
Tanaka Hibiki turned away gracefully, leaving not a trace behind.
In the alley, Snake threw Kurosawa Jin into the back seat of the car like he was throwing away trash, and then opened the driver's side door.
"Idiot, are you trying to drive me crazy?" Mihua's second assassin was already sitting in the passenger seat, cursing and swearing. "There was a sniper there just now, and you still dared to come out? Are you stupid?!"
"You even fired three shots into the air? You think you're so cool? We're assassins, not robbers!"
"Boss, I was just impatient. Didn't we succeed?" Snake One said meekly.
"Forget it, I can't be bothered with you." Mika's second assassin leaned back in his chair, relaxing. "It's strange, that sniper stopped firing after firing two shots."
He couldn't understand why someone would take on the job and then give up halfway through.
"Crack!" A crisp sound came from behind the car.
"Who!" The second assassin of Mihua immediately became alert and drew his pistol.
"Go and take a look."
Snake nodded in agreement, then carefully opened the car door, gripping his gun as he walked towards the back.
Soon after, Snake One's report came from the back of the car.
"Boss, it's a woman!"
He dragged a woman in work clothes to the front of the car.
The woman was terrified, her long hair disheveled, but it couldn't hide her beautiful face.
"Boss, should we kill him?" Snake One made a fierce expression.
"No, please, please let me go!" the woman screamed, tears streaming down her face, looking utterly pitiful.
"No, take her away. Her head is just what you need to hand over the goods." The second assassin of Mika said something chilling.
"Yes, boss."
——
Inside room 302, Kenji Hagiwara watched two cats and a dog munching on their food, his hands scooping up a few fluffy bits of rice and licking them.
Of the two cats, one is a small white cat that uses a wheel instead of its hind legs. It was just brought back from the hospital a few days ago and was named "Milk Tofu" by Matsuda Jinpei.
As for why he chose this name, Matsuda Jinpei said in his own words, "Because he is fair-skinned, like Kurosawa-san making milk tofu."
You know what, Kurosawa Jin's milk tofu is really delicious, Matsuda Jinpei especially likes it.
Thinking of this, Kenji Hagiwara's stomach started growling uncontrollably.
"I'm so hungry, the sun has already set, why hasn't Kurosawa-nii come back yet?"
Today, Kenji Hagiwara came over for a free meal as usual. Usually at this time, Jin Kurosawa would have already prepared the food and was waiting for them.
However, this time, when Matsuda Jinpei opened the door of 301, he only saw a group of hungry furry children.
"Jinpei? Jinpei? Can you hear me?" Kenji Hagiwara turned around to look at the crazed Jinpei Matsuda in front of the table.
"Hahahaha, I finally fixed it! Hahahaha—" Matsuda Jinpei screwed the last screw into the ornament.
He pressed the switch, staring intently at it, hoping this time it would be successful.
However... nothing happened.
"Aaaaaah, what's going on?" Matsuda Jinpei kept pressing the switch, on the verge of losing his temper.
"Jinpei, did you put the parts in backwards again?" Kenji Hagiwara leaned over and offered his opinion.
As soon as he finished speaking, the small ornament seemed to obey his words, its lid shot up and crashed to the ground, scattering into pieces.
Matsuda Jinpei: ...
"Baka yaru luru luru—" Matsuda Jinpei's adrenaline surged, and he had a massive outburst.
Kenji Hagiwara, standing to the side, silently shut his mouth and took a half step back.
"Ah—" Matsuda Jin fell straight to the ground. He had been studying the ornament for several days, but still hadn't made any progress.
"Jinpei, take a break, watch some TV, and relax," Kenji Hagiwara said, taking out the remote and turning on the TV.
The sound of a news broadcast quietly reached their ears.
"A shooting occurred in Mihana Street at noon today, but fortunately no one was injured."
"The criminal took a hostage and fled. It has been confirmed that the hostage is the young master of the Kurosawa Group who ran away from home a few months ago..."
"Kurosawa? Same surname as Kurosawa-nii!" Kenji Hagiwara exclaimed in surprise, "Wait a minute..."
A bad thought suddenly popped into his head.
Matsuda Jinpei turned his head and looked at him, seemingly having the same idea.
The news on TV was still broadcasting, "The kidnapped man's name is Kurosawa Jin, 21 years old, a graduate of the University of Tokyo..."
"Haha, how could that be? It must be a coincidence of names. How could we possibly know some young master of a conglomerate!" Matsuda Jinpei said, forcing a smile.
Then, a photo of Kurosawa Jin was shown on TV. He had silver hair and green eyes, a handsome face, and a gentle smile. Kenji Hagiwara and Jinpei Matsuda were very familiar with this face.
"The police have classified this case as retaliation by organized crime against the Kuroko Group..."
The news was still playing, and the two fell silent for a moment.
"Second-year graduate student, let's go to the police station." Matsuda Jinpei's face was obscured as he looked down.
"good."
Once the decision was made, the two set off quickly.
"Woof woof woof." The little golden retriever circled around them anxiously, seemingly sensing something as well.
“Little Gold, you guys stay put, we’ll bring Kurosawa back.” Kenji Hagiwara said as he closed the door to room 302.
