Chapter 56 The Death of Morofushi Kagemitsu 2
December 17, 7:00.
In front of an abandoned apartment building in Mihua, cars are parked.
One of the luxury cars was particularly eye-catching; inside that imposing black Porsche, Kurosawa Jin was talking on his phone with Kuroda Heiwa.
"I've already sent him to the secret base, you don't need to worry." Kuroda Hyoue's gruff voice came from the phone.
Vodka led his men to the abandoned apartment to search for Morofushi Kagemitsu. Finding no one around, Kurosawa Jin called to inquire about the situation with Kuroda Heiwa.
"How is Jingguang doing?" Kurosawa asked with concern.
"He's doing very well; he should be having breakfast right now."
Kuroda Hyōe countered, "Are things alright on your end?"
“Gin’s status means no one will suspect me,” Kurosawa Jin said with an evil smile. “Once I find a scapegoat, this matter will be easily resolved.”
"OK."
At that moment, Vodka hurriedly emerged from the abandoned apartment building.
After exchanging a few casual words, Kurosawa Jin hung up the phone when the vodka arrived at the car.
He rolled down the car window, his cold gaze fixed on Vodka, hoping for a satisfactory answer.
"Brother, we haven't found Scotland." Vodka lowered his head, not daring to look Kurosawa Jin in the eye.
"Useless!" A fierce aura surged between Kurosawa Jin's brows.
He kicked open the car door, got out, and glanced at the rows of low-level employees standing in front of him.
He walked up to a bald man with a scar, "Explain why there's no Scottish man in this building?"
“Lord Gin, I really don’t know why he’s gone. I clearly saw Scotland walk into this apartment building with my own eyes.”
The bald man suddenly knelt on the ground, crying and shouting an explanation.
"Lord Gin, you must believe me, I am not lying."
Of course you weren't lying, it's just that what you saw was a phantom created by me using props.
Kurosawa Jin thought to himself, silently lighting a candle for the little bald guy.
"The organization doesn't need useless people!" After saying that, Kurosawa Jin waved his hand, signaling Vodka to end the life of this lowly henchman.
"Bang!"
The bullet mercilessly pierced the bald head of the low-level employee, splattering blood everywhere, some of which accidentally landed on Kurosawa Jin's shoe.
He clicked his tongue in dissatisfaction. "Keep looking!"
"Yes." The group of low-level employees were all trembling with fear, afraid of angering Kurosawa Jin.
After Kurosawa Jin and Vodka left the abandoned apartment building by car, Kurosawa Jin used a tool to deliberately conjure up the image of Morofushi Kagemitsu in front of a member of the organization about three kilometers away.
After repeating this process, within a few hours, most of the organization's pursuers were lured away, getting further and further away from Morofushi Kagemitsu's true hiding place.
December 17, 12:00.
Thanks to Kurosawa Jin's underhanded tactics, the organization was unable to find any clues about Morofushi Kagemitsu.
"A bunch of traitors."
Kurosawa Jin roared and kicked a member with a code name away.
Despite the clear, cloudless sky, the atmosphere here was so gloomy it felt like it was about to rain, and every member of the organization present had a dark cloud on their face.
"Oh my, Gin, it's rare to see you get the short end of the stick~" Vermouth's teasing voice came from somewhere.
Kurosawa Jin suddenly turned around and saw a silver-haired woman standing there watching the commotion.
"Vermouth, what are you doing here?"
Vermouth is mostly in the United States, so logically she shouldn't be here.
"Hahaha." Vermouth chuckled softly, "Of course I came to..."
"For catching mice."
“We don’t need you here.” Kurosawa Jin stared intently at the other person.
"This is the BOSS's order, Gin."
Vermouth slowly walked towards Kurosawa Jin and said to him from the side, "Oh, don't worry, the rat I'm talking about isn't Scotland, it's another one."
The rat she was referring to was Kurosawa Jin, who had given advance notice to Morofushi Kagemitsu to escape.
Kurosawa Jin turned his head to meet Vermouth's gaze; imperceptibly, the two seemed like two opposing forces.
"Ding-dong!" His phone rang.
The phone screen lit up, and a message from the BOSS caught Kurosawa Jin's eye.
"Work with Vermouth to uncover the mole who informed Scotland of the escape! -- BOSS"
"Now you believe me, Gin~" Vermouth smirked and put her hand on Kurosawa Jin's shoulder.
"Heh." Kurosawa Jin sneered, slapping the other's hand away. "I hope you can complete this mission soon."
To be honest, Vermouth has no chance of succeeding, because the person she's after is standing right in front of her, and no one would suspect Gin.
After saying that, Kurosawa Jin turned around without hesitation and ordered Vodka, "Vodka, continue searching Scotland!"
"yes!"
Time flies by unnoticed, and in the blink of an eye, several hours have passed, and it is now 5:25 PM.
"Are you kidding me?! Has Scotland vanished into thin air? There's no sign of him anywhere!" Chianti said, clutching her beloved gun in a sleek sports car.
From the moment she began her pursuit of Morofushi Kagemitsu, her initial enthusiasm quickly turned into extreme agitation, all within just a few hours.
"Ah—" Chianti screamed, she felt like she was going to explode from Gin's insults!
This is torture! One minute they hear that Scotland is in the east, so they rush east; the next minute they hear that Scotland is in the west, so they go west.
This went on and on, and the two scoundrels, Chianti and Coron, spent the entire day in the car, being treated like monkeys.
As Corren drove, he was much more composed than Chianti. "The organization has laid a trap; Scotland can't escape."
"Ding-dong!"
Chianti, with a sour face, reluctantly opened her phone to check the messages.
"Damn it, what's up with Gin now!"
She stared at the electronic screen, and suddenly her eyes changed from the sorrow of a working person to a look of eager excitement.
Fortune still smiled upon them.
"Hahahaha, Coron, we might be the first! Hahahaha!" Chianti laughed wildly.
A question mark appeared above the head of the person standing next to him.
"Colomb, go to Dingyue Inn. The BOSS just sent a message that Scotland is hiding there."
“We’re only 3 kilometers from that little hotel; we’ll be the first,” Chianti analyzed.
Hearing this, Ke Lun also mustered his fighting spirit, shifted gears, and accelerated.
"Hahaha, Scotland's fate is mine to have!" Chianti's eyes were filled with ambition, and her smile was extremely wicked.
News of the BOSS spread like wildfire among the organization members, who flocked to Dingyue Inn from all over the country like leeches.
The distance of 3 kilometers normally takes about ten minutes to drive, but Kelun stepped on the gas and managed to shorten the time to less than five minutes.
"Bang!" Kuroda Hyoue kicked open Morofushi Kagemitsu's door, and blinding light flooded into the dim room.
"Hurry, this place has been exposed, we must move immediately." He received Kurosawa Jin's call a minute ago and went upstairs without stopping.
"What!"
Before he could even be surprised, Morofushi Kagemitsu caught the pistol that Kuroda Hyoue threw to him and followed Kuroda Hyoue at top speed.
"Go out through the side door and escape south; someone will be there to meet you..."
Before he could finish speaking, a burst of bullets struck the stairs beneath Kuroda Hyōe and Morofushi Kagemitsu's feet.
"Damn it, there's a sniper! Get cover!" Kuroda Hyoue crouched down and shouted to the public security officers disguised as guests inside the hotel.
"Whoosh—" A bullet pierced through the glass window and shot through the head of a policeman in the hotel lobby.
One after another, they mercilessly claimed several lives in an instant.
In a small house not far from the hotel, Corren held a sniper rifle and tried to aim at the target on the opposite staircase.
He pulled the trigger, but the bullet only grazed Morofushi Kagemitsu's scalp and embedded itself in the wall behind him.
"Are you sure you can handle this, Corin?" Chianti's questioning voice reached Corin's ears.
Koren didn't answer, and Chianti continued, "It's my turn to step in!"
"Coulomb, you go and take care of the rest. I'll handle Scotland."
Ke Lun remained silent, simply aiming his crosshair at the other police officers. After a few shots, he took down quite a few of them.
Because of the high level of secrecy surrounding this location, Kuroda Hyōe brought only a small number of people with him.
"Bang bang bang!" Chianti, armed with two pistols, stormed into the hotel alone. With Corinne assisting her, Chianti encountered no obstacles along the way.
"Damn it!" Kuroda Hyoue cursed angrily from behind the sofa.
The two men loaded their pistols and quickly reached out to fire at the enemy outside the door.
Chianti was stopped outside the door. She leaned against the wall by the door frame, occasionally pulling the trigger inside.
The two sides are deadlocked.
“Corren!” Chianti called out his partner’s name.
"Received." Corren understood instantly.
The bullet left the muzzle at an extremely high speed. If you could play it in slow motion, you would see the bullet shot at a tricky angle toward the wall behind Morofushi Kagemitsu and Kuroda Hyōe.
The bullet changed trajectory the instant it hit the wall, ricocheting towards Kuroda Hyoue.
"Ah—"
Red liquid splattered everywhere, gushing out of Kuroda Heibei's right eye.
"Senior!" Morofushi Kagemitsu looked at Kuroda Hyōe in surprise, speechless for a moment.
"Uh...behind the side door of the kitchen...there's a small grove of trees..." Kuroda Hyoue covered his bleeding right eye, enduring the intense pain.
"And this too, take it... Don't use it unless absolutely necessary!" He pulled out a grenade and stuffed it into Morofushi Kagemitsu's pocket.
"You hurry, head south, hurry! I'll hold them off!"
Kuroda Hyoue smiled, a large patch of blood covering the right half of his face, making him look ferocious and terrifying.
Seeing that Fushiki Kagemitsu was hesitating, Kuroda Hyōe said again, "Escape. That's an order. Don't make me waste my time."
His voice trembled, but it left no room for doubt.
"yes!"
Zhu Fujingguang gritted his teeth, clenching his fists tighter and tighter, as if he had made a great decision, and then suddenly turned and left.
"Damn it, Scotland escaped through the side door," Corren warned Chianti, then grabbed his sniper rifle and retreated from the window.
"Damn it, how cunning!"
Chianti was about to give chase when a burly man blocked her way.
Kuroda Hyōe said, "Your opponent is me!"
