The company's legal counsel is finally getting a job.

"Hey! Brother Yu! GDR's interview is out!"

These past few days, everyone at Zhixing Games has been eagerly anticipating this interview; they've all been waiting. Checking the official account several times a day has become a common occurrence.

This is the official GDR account, and for people in the gaming industry, being interviewed is a great honor.

Previously, even though winning the Best New Work award didn't earn me an interview—though that might have been part of the chaos surrounding the award—these interviews were earned entirely through my talent.

We won't go into how popular the single-player version of "The Way of the Corporate Slave" was, but the online version of "The Way of the Corporate Slave" has seen its number of online players and daily active users rival those of mobile games.

The somewhat outlandish "Out-of-Body Simulator" also sold very well. It wasn't as eye-catching as "The Wage Collector," but its performance was still quite good.

Some employees who initially didn't understand why they needed to develop "Out-of-Body Simulator" now realize that this isn't the end, but rather a stepping stone to introducing that new technology into the game.

Finally, the main text is out.

It's not that I wanted to say "Mom, I'm on TV," I just wanted to see the boss. It's just that the employees' longing for President Jiang is like a surging river. Well, to put it bluntly, it's just gossip.

It's not that we absolutely need to know what President Jiang looks like, it's just that... it seems to have become a routine in this game of knowledge and action.

—The driving force behind a person's knowledge and action.

The interview was a written transcript, but a transcript unlike any other.

The other interviewees were all video interviews, making Zhixing Games stand out. However, with two games becoming hugely popular, even the written interviews garnered tens of thousands of views.

It contains ordinary dialogues, plus a catchy quote that highlights the theme.

It's also difficult to find any insightful ideas about game design from Mr. Jiang; it simply highlights the phrase "rich and willful."

Some people's minds are just full of brilliant ideas.

Zhi Xingren didn't think there was anything wrong with his boss's earth-shattering speech about overtime; their company had never had overtime.

Occasionally, during holidays, if there's work that's impossible to handle, the supervisor will simply work overtime online to arrange the urgency of tasks for the following week.

That's how it should be.

Scrolling to the bottom of the tweet, a photo popped up. I initially thought I'd discovered some incredible, earth-shattering secret, but upon closer inspection, it was just a little black cat.

The little black cat has beautiful eyes and an elegant posture. Its body shape is slightly out of shape, but that doesn't detract from its beauty. On the contrary, it makes it look even more rounded and cute.

Below the photo is a logo – the official mascot of Zhixing Games.

Everyone looked up and exchanged bewildered glances.

It turns out their company has cats, and these cats are even mascots... Come to think of it, it's rare for a company to use a black cat as a mascot, right...?

It doesn't look very good.

In the business world, luck is also a crucial factor in determining success or failure.

"Do you think it's possible the editor just randomly chose a picture? Mr. Jiang didn't want to be in the photo, so they just took a random picture of a cat?" someone asked curiously.

“We haven’t been to the 16th floor much, so maybe… it really is our company’s mascot. You know what, you can’t tell what breed this cat is, but it’s quite pretty.”

"This is such a small matter, why don't you just ask Assistant Song?" Yu Yue was texting Song Zhiming at the time.

"You mean this cat? It is. It's more senior than you and me. It should be considered a veteran employee of Zhixing Games." Song Zhiming affirmed the Earl's status as a mascot.

During her workdays, Song Zhiming often sees this cat out sunbathing, and it even generously lets her pet its head. It has a very good personality, but it's not very affectionate.

At most, I can only pat his head.

This small comfort gave Song Zhiming a sense of spiritual support in the vast, empty 16th floor (not really).

Who works a job like a stand-alone computer?

Song Zhiming is...

The Earl on the 16th floor may have sensed something, or it may simply be a decision made on behalf of Jiang Chuan, a socially awkward person, to inspect the company. Today, when Song Zhiming went down to the 14th floor, he came out with him.

He walked gracefully into the 14th floor, where his hair was completely messed up by a bunch of unrestrained hands.

hateful!

hateful!

Those despicable humans! They really are Jiang Chuan's men. Birds of a feather flock together!

The count ran away in dissatisfaction, leaping onto the top of the water dispenser and grooming his messy fur.

This finally calmed the frenzied employees down a bit.

"The kitten is so cute! How about you stay on our 14th floor from now on? Auntie will bring you some delicious cat treats tomorrow!"

Some even tried to seduce the count.

Cat strip?

What's so delicious about cat treats? Hasn't he had enough of spicy hot pot, minced meat noodles, and mousse cake? A normal kitten definitely can't eat those things; Earl is a bit of a wild cat.

The flavor is much stronger than that of Jiangchuan.

“Earl can’t stay here with you; it has to go to and from get off work with President Jiang.” Song Zhiming shattered the beautiful fantasies of some cat lovers.

"Going to and from get off work together???"

Everyone said in unison, mainly because no one had expected that someone like President Jiang would be so inseparable from cats...

According to the only employee who had the privilege of seeing a photo of President Jiang once, the chief programmer described him as having an elite, aloof persona.

Through Song Zhiming and the transmission of work information, one can usually sense his methodical and meticulous composure.

So... you're a furry lover?

The count leisurely licked his little paw, completely unaware of the bizarre transformation his shameless habit of following Jiang Chuan to the company every day to enjoy the air conditioning had brought to Jiang Chuan's image.

That makes sense; it's perfectly reasonable for a CEO to have a cat butler.

Some people reluctantly stroked the kitten with their eyes. Zhixing was good in every way, but it lacked a comforting presence that modern young people need when they go to work.

It would be great if their floor had some fluffy things too.

However, at Zhixing, there is indeed no psychological pressure at work, and it is not mandatory.

"Speaking of which, Zhuang Xu, we haven't seen you filming any footage lately. We haven't been on TV in ages," someone suddenly said, as if remembering something.

We've all been so busy with work lately that we haven't really been paying attention to variety shows or anything like that.

After finally finishing up some busy work, with both Out-of-Body Simulator and the DLC for Corporate Slave coming to an end, I finally have time to focus on other things.

Speaking of this, Zhuang Xu was also a little uncertain: "They made a lot of changes to the program, and they didn't ask me to record any more footage. My side job is over."

"The Survival Diary of Contemporary Migrant Workers," which has been absent from the screen for a long time, has now truly become a survival manual.

Meng Feifei has been optimizing and adjusting the structure of the entire program.

In addition to the interviews mentioned earlier, there are other categories, which mainly focus on the diversity of program content and almost meet the viewing needs of the entire young audience.

Some interviews maintained the previous recording format, while others were conducted in an interview format. The interviews are currently being conducted solo; Meng Feifei's planned multi-person conversation scripts haven't been used yet.

The situation of deliberately provoking the audience's emotions has improved significantly compared to the beginning.

The audience for "The Survival Diary of Contemporary Migrant Workers" has now expanded to almost all young workers, and it continues to grow.

They've expanded to different age groups.

Personalized program content was also brought to the screen, and Meng Feifei's ambition changed from following the established routine to—she decided to create a groundbreaking, iconic, and socially significant variety show.

Other examples include "required courses for college students entering society," which meticulously teach students step-by-step about social insurance, housing fund, and other aspects that they should learn and try.

Currently, the most popular type is the "one-on-one tutoring and personal instruction company".

The inspiration for this program came from users on the "streetlight" platform. Although they had learned about the entire process of labor mediation and arbitration through various channels, there were still difficulties in putting it into practice.

The purpose of making this program is also to clarify the entire process of protecting one's rights and to provide some simple legal education.

First, you need to distinguish the three ways to protect your rights.

The three processes are labor mediation, labor arbitration, and finally labor litigation.

The difference between the three is that labor mediation takes the least time, usually taking only half a month to complete.

When labor mediation fails to resolve the conflict between the employer and the employee, the process will proceed to labor arbitration, which typically takes 45 days, but can sometimes take up to 60 days.

Labor litigation is the last resort among the three stages.

The time, manpower, and material resources required are also the highest. Since it involves the People's Court, the battle lines will be very long.

Labor disputes, being civil disputes, are generally handled by civil courts. Civil courts handle a large number of cases, so there is a waiting period.

If either party is still dissatisfied with the court's ruling at this point, they can appeal, so it usually takes at least six months to five years to get a verdict.

Generally, it is recommended that workers choose labor mediation and not take it to the last resort, because as a worker, your time cost is very high and you don't have the energy to waste on the company.

First, seek labor mediation, which usually has two avenues.

Option 1 is to call 12333 to report to the labor inspection brigade, but this method has certain limitations, although it is the most efficient.

Some companies make promises in black and white but fail to keep them. For example, they may not implement proper safety measures for workers during the work process. You can simply call this number.

Then, when people from the other side come to inspect, they find that safety measures have indeed not been implemented and will take immediate action.

Because these kinds of things are usually minor incidents, the company is too lazy to waste time and energy making a fuss. Usually, they just report it, and if rectification is required, they just rectify it directly.

The second point is that the jurisdiction for applying for labor dispute mediation is generally the labor and personnel dispute mediation committee at the place where the labor contract is actually performed in the company's location.

Usually, the entrustment can be processed on the same day, provided that the legal conditions are met and the application form and supporting documents are prepared.

The committee will then send a mediator to understand the situation and coordinate the entire matter. The two parties reach a settlement on a voluntary and autonomous basis.

Typically, a mediation agreement, similar to a civil contract, will be signed and filed with the labor and personnel mediation committee. If the company fails to fulfill this agreement, arbitration can be applied for based on the mediation agreement.

At the same time, it cannot be ruled out that some companies may prolong the battle and put pressure on you from multiple sides.

If no settlement agreement is reached within 15 days, arbitration will be requested.

It's basically like a step-by-step tutorial on how to do it.

The program involves finding a few users who want to sanction their company's "streetlights" and then helping them record the necessary footage.

However, the kind of "tough" company that Meng Feifei was hoping for did not appear. Instead, they either did not struggle much or, as soon as the media got involved, they immediately and decisively resolved the issue.

Media pressure is also the last line of defense for many unscrupulous companies to hold their ground; it's the last line of defense before they can act completely unethically.

The timing of today's episode's broadcast was naturally chosen with Meng Feifei's consideration in mind.

The program received a warm response, but some details that the program missed were pointed out by netizens.

"Comrades! When conducting labor mediation and arbitration, remember never to settle privately. Always follow the legal procedures with evidence and records. Otherwise, some shady companies will definitely try to blackmail you. Don't believe that these companies will suddenly become good; they have always been rotten."

"The program didn't talk about the difficulty of collecting evidence. I want to emphasize one thing to everyone: once you have the idea of labor arbitration, the first thing to do is to collect evidence and materials quietly to prove that you have worked for this company, including attendance records, pay slips, chat logs, etc. Never tell anyone that you want to arbitrate with the company, otherwise, you might get stabbed in the back."

"One more thing: if you're really forced into a corner by the company and facing financial difficulties, you can apply for a reimbursement from [Streetlight]. You're not alone; behind you are millions of like-minded people!"

Meng Feifei quickly browsed the comments section, seemingly waiting for something. Finally, what she was waiting for was revealed.

That's a new policy issued by the government.

The descriptions of rights protection in this chapter are basic popular science; more in-depth information will not be covered.

After finishing writing it, I'm a little worried about whether this chapter will survive. I hope it will!
