Chapter 156: Celebration in the Auditorium

Chapter 156: Celebration in the Auditorium

As she walked to the auditorium, Jian Yu was still thinking about Dumbledore's words.

Her guardian started to play dumb again, saying things like "bring you back your memory" and "return to the original place"...

Is the Riddler some kind of Hogwarts specialty?

Push them all out to her!

But the semester was coming to an end, and it seemed that she might be kicked out of Hogwarts during the summer vacation before Dumbledore.

"You're here at last!"

Daphne had been looking around at the entrance of the auditorium for a long time. When she saw Jian Yu, she immediately pulled her to the table:

"Merlin - we've been listening to Flint's nagging for almost half an hour, save the child!"

Jian Yu looked carefully, and saw Flint sitting there chattering like Xianglin Sao.

"I was really stupid, really." He raised his lifeless eyes and continued, "I only knew that I had a game console and could play the game "Quidditch"; I didn't know that Wood would have one too. I discovered the secret of the game console early in the morning and asked our Quidditch players to learn the tactics in it. They were very obedient and listened to my words; after they learned it, I took them to the game, a Pokoff luring technique plus the Woollongong "Z" flying technique followed by the eagle head attack formation, and I found that Gryffindor was the same as us. I was anxious and thought they had stolen our tactics, until I compared with Davis and Diggory and saw that they also had game consoles in their hands. Everyone said, it's bad, I'm afraid they are from the same school. After further competition, they really used the same tactics as us..."

He then began to cry and his voice became sobbing.

Daphne whispered to Jian Yu and told him the whole story:

"We did win, but the final total score was the same as Gryffindor's. No one expected the score to be so perfect."

"Flint and Wood will raise the trophy together later... and according to etiquette, they will shake hands in a friendly manner."

Jian Yu couldn't help but cast a sympathetic look at Flint.

"Flint, there you go again." Gemma looked at his face impatiently and said, "I ask you, didn't we get the Quidditch Cup?"

"Mm-hmm," he replied vaguely.

"Then what do you have to complain about? Isn't the joy of our victory enough to offset the dissatisfaction of shaking hands with Wood?"

"But this trophy belongs to both houses—" Flint argued.

"Let me ask you, why did you agree to Headmaster Dumbledore's proposal that the two colleges hold the trophy together?"

"Ah - I wanted to have another match with them to decide the winner - but the principal's authority is so great -"

"I don't believe it. I don't believe you couldn't persuade him. You must have agreed to it later and you blame him for his authority."

"Ah - you...you try it yourself." Flint laughed awkwardly.

The little snakes around all burst into laughter, and for a moment the Slytherin table was filled with a happy atmosphere.

Fortunately, Dumbledore quickly rescued Flint, who was blushing so much that he wanted to crawl under the table.

——He called Flint and Wood to the stage.

"Have a great year again!" he announced loudly. "I'm sure you've learned a lot this year! And of course you've had a lot of fun too!"

There was a burst of laughter in the auditorium, and everyone knew what they meant by "having a lot of fun" without saying a word.

"Now, I'm going to announce the winner of this year's Quidditch trophy - I'm sure you already know it!"

"Miracle, miracle, it only happens once in a century!" Dumbledore said happily, "Different games, same score! Very memorable!"

"After discussion, we decided that this trophy should belong to both the Gryffindor and Slytherin teams!"

Flint and Wood stood on the left and right sides of the podium, respectively, neither looking sideways, determined not to glance at each other.

Although they were somewhat dissatisfied that the other team took up half of the trophy, the joy of realizing their dream of winning the championship in their last year of graduation still overwhelmed those unhappiness.

Under Dumbledore's command, Flint and Wood held up the trophy together on behalf of the team - they were as careful as possible so as not to let any hair on their hands touch each other.

"Please ask the captains of both sides to shake hands--"

Flint raised his eyebrows and curled his lips, while Wood narrowed his eyes and twisted his face. The right hands of the two men loosened as soon as they touched each other. This was probably the first time that they did not try to break each other's hands when shaking hands.

Lee Jordan blew a loud whistle as if he was watching a show, and his good friends the Weasley twins also started to clink their goblets to cheer -

"Oliver, don't be shy!"

"What's wrong with shaking hands? You're so shy!"

"This is just a handshake, not asking you to sleep in the same bed!"

The three men's words caused the entire auditorium to burst into laughter. Wood gritted his teeth and Flint stared at them. The two captains shook hands as if they were rushing to the execution ground, ready to die.

Dumbledore then began to announce the winners of this year's House Cup:

"Well! You've seen the decorations here - let's congratulate Slytherin for winning the House Cup for the ninth consecutive year!"

There was thunderous applause at the Slytherin table, but what was unimaginable was that there was also applause at the other three tables.

——This is very different from the situation in previous years when other houses were quiet after Slytherin won the championship.

Jian Yu realized that Dumbledore was indeed going through the settlement process again. According to convention, the next thing would be her Special Contribution Award MVP.

As expected——

"Next, I would like to recognize a student who has made outstanding contributions to school safety and social responsibility this school year——"

But this time, before Dumbledore announced her name, the hall erupted in a tide of applause and cheers. Many people stretched their necks to cast enthusiastic glances in her direction. Harry and Ron even couldn't help wanting to stand up.

"I guess you have read it in the newspaper or heard it from your classmates..." Dumbledore raised his eyebrows in surprise, "In that case, let us congratulate Jade Jane. She worked together to find the criminal hidden in the school! She has once again won the Special Contribution Award for the School!"

There was wave after wave of applause. Flint, Gemma and other senior students skillfully blocked Jian Yu behind them to prevent her from being trampled or crushed. After doing this for three years in a row, they had mastered the essence of forming a human wall.

"Who would have thought that the criminals would hide in Hogwarts in the form of rats! It was really foresight for Yu to let us raise snakes!"

"Have you all forgotten? She is a prophet!"

On every long table there were students who had dealt with Jian Yu or bought her game consoles. They banged on the tables excitedly, cheered for her, and some even tap danced!

Amid the clamor, one of the little lions was so excited that he let out a loud shout:

"I propose that we give Yu Jian another special contribution award—for her game console! It's a groundbreaking invention!"

All the students fell silent at once. They glared at the source of the sound. The students who were close by hurriedly pushed him under the table and blocked his mouth.

Why are you bringing up things that are not related to the topic?

They finally won the battle to defend Jianyu!

It took a lot of hard work to finally uncover the secret of the game console!

Mentioning items banned by the school in front of all the professors, are you thinking that everyone isn't dying fast enough?

Some things are better just thought about in your mind, what's the point of speaking them out loud?

"Hmm - a very interesting suggestion." Dumbledore said solemnly, "But -"

Before he could finish his words, the teaching seats were flooded with people, forcing all the professors to stand up and try to stop the angry students.

“Jade did nothing wrong! You can’t believe the rumors outside!”

"If you want to fire her, why not fire all of us who played video games!
