Chapter 189: Change of Perspective

Chapter 189: Change of Perspective

"Snape, the students you taught."

Moody roared gruffly and roughly pushed Jian Yu into the cellar.

"First, I used the Transfiguration Curse on the professor, and then the Imperius Curse." His face was twisted, and the big cut on his face - the weirdly shaped mouth moved. "If this wasn't in Hogwarts, I would definitely send you to Azkaban, just like I did for many years -"

Snape's face was gloomy, and the blood vessels in his temples were throbbing:

"So you think my house has produced a Dark wizard, Moody?"

Moody's scarred face showed an extremely disgusted expression:

"What do you think, Snape? I heard from students that you taught her privately for three years?"

Snape sneered. If it was any other student who was sent to the cellar, he might not be able to withstand Moody's aggression.

But since it was Jian Yu who came, he made a prompt decision and decided to use Dumbledore as his ultimate move:

"This is a serious charge, Moody. Why don't we let Dumbledore decide -"

Moody's facial expression did not change at all. His face was still distorted as he interrupted Snape:

"Dumbledore is very busy, Snape. He asked me to use my Auror privileges to keep a close eye on -"

"No, Dumbledore happens to trust me and the student you accused." Snape shot back through gritted teeth.

"Of course," Moody's bulging eyes rolled, "he is the most gullible, but I don't think so. Your stain cannot be washed away, Snape!"

Snape's face looked even sallower, and he unconsciously pressed his left arm as if it were broken.

"Alastor!"

Just as the scene was becoming increasingly ugly, Dumbledore appeared at the entrance of the cellar.

Moody paused strangely. He seemed to have calmed down a lot, and even his evil eye stopped moving around.

"Albus, as you can see, I've discovered the scum of the school."

He pushed Jian Yu forward and said in a rough voice:

"This Slytherin student used the Imperius Curse on me in class - this is not a spell that fourth years should learn -"

Dumbledore's expression was extremely serious, and his eyes had lost the usual spark of joy:

"Is this true, Jade? You cast the Imperius Curse on Professor Moody?"

Jian Yu nodded and showed a righteous expression.

She decided to retract her earlier dissatisfaction with Professor Moody.

This is a great way to scam people!

Although I don't know how many years I will be sentenced for attacking a professor, this behavior is of a bad nature anyway.

It shouldn’t be too much for Qianqian to be fired, right?

Besides, this was dark magic, one of the things her guardian hated the most!

Dumbledore pressed his temple, and a few more wrinkles appeared on his face, making him look a little older.

He had never expected that his own child would fight with his old friend Alastor Moody, whom he trusted very much.

After all, she had usually been sociable and had no trouble taking down his old pals over the past few years.

"I thought I told you, Jade, that the Dark Arts would distort and confuse the mind, and that it was a terrible thing to become interested in them—"

"As wizards advance in their research into the dark arts, the negative emotions they carry in their hearts will become more severe—"

The education of adolescent children is indeed a difficult problem.

It gave him a headache.

Perhaps it was the Obscurus in this child, this dark power that naturally attracted her to the dark arts.

He needs to pay more attention to his children's mental health.

I'll have to read "One Hundred Questions About Getting Along with Teenage Wizards" a few more times when I get back.

Dumbledore thought so and decided to make the best of a possible matter.

"But, Mr. Principal." His earnest words were interrupted by a voice.

Jian Yu looked in the direction of the voice and saw the Slytherin friends standing at the door after running quickly. Her heart skipped a beat.

"It was Professor Moody who threatened her first and wanted to use the Imperius Curse on her. Jade was only acting in self-defense!"

No way?

This again?

Jian Yu felt that he had discovered a strange pattern -

Every time she did something big and had to look at Dumbledore in bewilderment, someone would suddenly pop up and bring justice!

Dumbledore's face changed, and his blue eyes behind his spectacles stared straight at Moody.

"What's going on, Alastor? I thought what I asked you to teach did not include using the Imperius Curse on students."

But Moody was not at all flustered. Instead, he stomped his wooden leg on the ground and roared, showing his anger at being wronged:

"Do you think I'm the inexperienced type? I can handle it, Albus!"

"These students have no idea what they are about to face! If they want to learn in a more brutal way and wait for the enemy to take away their sanity, then they can just leave my class!"

This performance shocked everyone present, and even Jian Yu almost sighed in his heart at his good intentions.

Dumbledore shook his head and cast a disapproving look:

"I understand your intentions, but Alastor, you are too radical-"

Moody's magic eye shook in his eye socket, and he glanced at Jian Yu sideways:

"Radical? If I'm not radical, how can I find out that there is a student who knows the Imperius Curse hiding here?"

"This student, where did she learn the Imperius Curse? Slytherin... there must be a dark wizard behind this -"

"No, no, Alastor," Dumbledore stopped him from continuing, and sighed at his old friend's increasing suspicion. "I don't think you know that she is my adopted child -"

Moody took a step back in surprise, and his magic eye stopped moving. After a while, he complained:

"Albus, we must remain vigilant at all times to prevent those minions from infiltrating the school."

"Since you have such an arrangement, why didn't you tell me in advance? I can protect her safety--"

Dumbledore smiled bitterly, turned around and looked at the Slytherin students at the door, then said comfortingly:

"Alastor, I still have to say, please be nicer to the Slytherin students."

"It is not the job of a professor to threaten students with the Imperius Curse in class."

"I know it's hard for you to let go of the past, but they are just children. You can't bring your resentment towards their parents to them."

Moody stamped his wooden leg in dissatisfaction and muttered something unhappily, but still agreed.

His evil eyes turned and stopped on Jian Yu again.

Such a powerful Slytherin who can cast the Imperius Curse was adopted by Dumbledore...

This is brand new news.

He had to change his strategy and observe her subtly for a while.

Perhaps she would be of great use to his Master.
