Chapter 262 The First Day of School

Chapter 262 The First Day of School

Jian Yu finally got the right to use the prefect's box.

While dragging her luggage to the box, her mind thought of three possibilities of jumping out of the car and escaping, and five routes to leave the UK without being discovered in just three minutes.

It’s a pity that she and Grindelwald learned thousands of things, but missed the most important spell to conceal their location.

In front of Dumbledore's gPs + Flamel's crystal ball + Scamander's magical creatures, her whereabouts were revealed in broad daylight.

Jian Yu sighed deeply and pushed open the box, only to find that the heads of each department and the male and female presidents of the Student Union had already gathered together.

Seeing her appear, everyone turned their eyes to her, and faces with expressions of surprise or astonishment moved in front of her.

She could recognize many of her class leaders as old acquaintances—

Ron and Hermione, Macmillan and Abbott, Goldstein and Patil, who got on the car before her...

And of course there was her Slytherin friend and future colleague - Draco, who was confronting Ron as usual, with his head almost raised to the top of the carriage. The moment he saw her, his eyes widened and almost shone the same color as his head.

He seemed to have something to say to her, but because there were too many people here, he hesitated and closed his mouth.

Cedric Diggory, the head of the Student Union, who was about to remind them of the responsibilities and obligations of the prefects, stopped talking and asked in surprise:

"Yu, you're back?"

This immediately opened up everyone's conversation. After all, almost everyone who could read had read the report on the explosion at Gringotts during the summer vacation.

"Riding a dragon abroad!" Ron and Hermione began to tell her the story that was extremely exciting in their eyes. "Crossing the strait and the mountains, remaining unscathed, surviving in the wild, so awesome!"

After some commotion, Jian Yu, who had obtained the right to patrol at night (legal right to patrol at night), began her first train police patrol journey.

But she, the conductor, was no match for the crowd. After being enthusiastically grabbed by the sleeves of students who appeared out of nowhere for the nth time and firmly refusing their requests for photos or autographs, Daphne, who had been closely watching her movements, reached out and pulled her into the box.

But there were only her, Bryce and three of them in the small box, and she didn't see any sign of Theodore.

After some greetings, Daphne quickly began to tell the story of her summer vacation and sighed with regret:

"My father took my sister and me to France. We found a house and paid the deposit, but you got missing and Grindelwald escaped from prison! We had no choice but to return home!"

Blaise, who had been pretending to be sick for the entire summer, still had a pale look on his face that he had disguised with his mother's makeup, and a little powder fell off when he spoke:

"Ahem - a new infectious disease, very uncomfortable - so uncomfortable that my mother and I can't receive guests. We can only regretfully refuse the visits from the Nott family and the Malfoy family during the summer vacation -"

His makeup skills have improved a lot, and two big smears of blush make his face look like a burnt monkey's butt.

Jian Yu finally understood why there were only three of them here. The Zabini family and the Greengrass family were typical non-stick neutral families.

Daphne rolled her eyes at Blaise, who was still pretending to be sick and coughing violently, and continued:

"We can't help it. Theodore's father is too loyal. Considering this, even if he is a friend, we have to observe him for a while. Fortunately, our family doesn't have much of a cooperative relationship with the Notts, not as close as with the Malfoys. But it's still more convenient to use traveling abroad as an excuse."

She whispered in Jian Yu's ear:

"Everyone in Slytherin, except for those families who are already loyal to the Dark Lord - you know I'm talking about the Malfoy, Nott and Gowercrabbe families, most people don't want another war like that to destroy their stable lives."

"As far as I know, if it weren't for Grindelwald, you would have seen fewer people at our long table this semester - everyone went abroad to travel during the summer vacation, saying that the scenery in the United States, France, and Germany is much more beautiful than that in the United Kingdom, and they plan to settle down there for a long time."

Just like her, she failed in her attempt to transfer schools.

Jian Yu thought so, and expressed three seconds of sympathy for the runaway sweet little snakes who were caught in the sudden appearance of Grindelwald.

"So they have to go back to school." Blaise shrugged, and the powder on his face fell off a little, and it looked like his makeup was gradually coming off. "Those parents thought that it was better for their children to stay in Hogwarts than to be knocked on the door by Death Eaters to offer warmth. Of course, some people believed what the Ministry of Magic said, thinking that the resurrection of the Dark Lord was just a lie."

But at this moment, the door of the box was knocked. Jian Yu opened the door, but found that Theodore, the person that Daphne and Bryce had just been playing with crickets, was standing at the door with an expressionless face.

There was an awkward atmosphere in the box for a moment.

Daphne and Blaise both looked away, one at the sky and the other at the ground, while Theodore stared straight at them.

Theodore, who had a strong mental state, squeezed in, causing the three people to look at him in surprise. Such strong behavior made Jian Yu almost think that he had become a different person under his skin.

"Father ordered me to come and bring you warmth." He spoke bluntly, causing both men to shudder. "Of course, I think there are more people coming, including Malfoy, Goyle, and Crabbe."

"Cough cough cough cough--" Blaise lay down straight, coughing heart-wrenchingly, "I feel like I'm terminally ill--"

"You, you just said it like that?" Daphne was speechless, staring at Theodore blankly, "Merlin - you are such a brave man, it's a shame that you didn't throw your name into the Goblet of Fire -"

Coming to their senses, the two men, realizing that Theodore and his father were on different sides, scratched their heads in embarrassment and began to stammer in apologies.

"Then how do you plan to explain to your father?" Jian Yu asked.

Facing the apology, Theodore snorted coldly, and then turned his gaze to Jian Yu:

"One of them can burn himself even with a basic fire spell; the other has a sore and skips classes every day...these two idiots are useless."

Daphne lit a fire on the spot and burned a section of her outer robe. Blaise, who had just gotten up, fell down and poured a bottle of potion pretending to be sick into his mouth. He groaned as the heat emanated from his nose and ears:

"Well, although the reputation is not very good, it is better than being forced to join the gang. At least they don't look down on two pure-blooded good-for-nothings."

Theodore chuckled again and continued to reveal information:

"He ordered my father and Draco's father to persuade Fudge so that he could buy as much time as possible to accumulate strength for himself."

"The Senior Undersecretary of the Ministry of Magic, the woman named Dolores Umbridge, will most likely be sent by Fudge to Hogwarts to interfere here."

When he said these words, there was still no fluctuation in his expression, as if he was talking about something that had nothing to do with him.

But the implication in his words was about to overflow:

"She's a very cruel person - obviously you have to tread carefully."

Jian Yu, who was shattered into pieces during the summer vacation, finally put herself back together on the first day of school.

Got it.

The new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Umbridge, is likely to have a conflict with her.

Maybe there is also a task attached to finding Dumbledore's mistakes and digging out secrets from her.

Then she also planned to give her another task.

It shouldn't be too much to ask this senior deputy minister to sign a letter of her withdrawal from school!
