Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Leng Huai's scorching breath sprayed onto Mo Xiaoxin's face. His eyes were close at hand, with upturned corners, deep and far-reaching, as bright as the stars in the sky, unconsciously attracting people's attention and bewitching their hearts, yet revealing a sinister aura that made people wary.

She's absolutely stunning.

What a waste of such a pretty face, with such a dark heart.

Mo Xiaoxin tried to break free from his embrace, but his strong hands held her tightly around her waist from behind, leaving her as powerless as a caged bird.

An invisible sense of oppression welled up in my heart.

"Trying to escape? Isn't that what you wanted?" Leng Huai's voice was deep and captivating, his alluring breath lingering in her ear, making her heart tremble.

"What?" Mo Xiaoxin didn't understand what he meant. All she wanted now was to escape this incredibly awkward atmosphere.

Leng Huai narrowed his eyes slightly as he carefully examined the woman in his arms. She had delicate features, fair and delicate skin like a pear blossom, and her night clothes wrapped her figure tightly, cleverly outlining her slender and graceful proportions. Every frown and smile was pure and moving, yet also carried a woman's gentle beauty.

If he hadn't known that the woman in front of him didn't match her personality with her appearance, he would have truly believed it to be true.

Play dumb and feign ignorance, feigning reluctance while welcoming.

Women in the demon realm are truly cunning.

Unfortunately, what kind of people hasn't Leng Huai seen? His skills are nothing but trifles.

Leng Huai smiled sarcastically: "You went to all the way to the Demon Realm and went to great lengths to climb onto the roof just to get my attention and get into my bed, didn't you? Now you've got what you wanted, isn't that good?"

Mo Xiaoxin's hand was pressed down on the chair by Leng Huai and she was unable to move.

Has Leng Huai gone mad?

That was what the original owner wanted to do; she didn't want to.

Besides, there's a third person in the room now. Is Leng Huai really that perverted? Does he like being watched?

"Demon Lord, there are other people here..." Mo Xiaoxin quickly shifted Leng Huai's gaze to the others.

Shui Lian gritted her teeth as she watched the two people on the couch, oblivious to everyone else, whispering sweet nothings to each other.

She took a step forward, intending to say something, but before she could even take half a step, she felt a chill on her neck.

Then a muffled thud echoed in the room, and a crisp sound followed the moment Shui Lian fell.

Beside Shui Lian's corpse was a diamond-shaped blade as thin as a cicada's thread.

Leng Huai killed someone without any expression right under her nose once again.

When she saw the thin, delicate knife mark on the woman's neck, she felt a chill run down her own neck.

Leng Huai had only slightly raised his hand; she hadn't even seen when he made the move, yet Shui Lian was killed instantly.

"Alright, the obstruction has been cleared away." Leng Huai's tone was as relaxed as if he were dealing with insignificant trash.

Did he misunderstand something?

She didn't want him to kill her!

Mo Xiaoxin's breath hitched, the feeling of death was close at hand again. She swallowed and unconsciously moved her body slightly away from the outside.

This subtle movement caught Leng Huai's attention. He stared intently at the woman beneath him: "Nervous? Isn't this what you've been longing for?"

What do I want? She just wants to get out of here right now!

Just as Mo Xiaoxin was about to retort, the system's voice came to her ears.

[System notification: You must not violate the original owner's personality settings.]

Mo Xiaoxin was speechless for a moment.

Does she have to be as pretentious and arrogant as the original owner of this body, and have to act like she likes Leng Huai?

She refused.

[System notification: Rewards will be revoked if this is violated.]

Her 100,000 yuan...

She endured it.

Mo Xiaoxin forced a smile, saying, "Your Majesty, the Demon Lord, truly understands me. In that case, why don't we..."

Mo Xiaoxin opened her clothes and offered a kiss.

Leng Huai frowned, disdainfully distancing himself from Mo Xiaoxin. A sudden chill rose in his eyes, and a murderous intent arose.

Mo Xiaoxin felt the temperature in the air drop suddenly, followed by a bone-chilling cold that approached her. She felt a sharp pain in her neck and then lost consciousness.

It hurts again.

When Mo Xiaoxin opened her eyes, she was already back in the vast white space.

The system stared with innocent-looking eyes: "So? How did this death feel?"

"How do you think I feel? It hurts so much!" Mo Xiaoxin rolled her eyes, rubbing her neck. If she touched it carefully, she could still feel the fine lines of the wound. If Leng Huai had killed her 999 times, she probably wouldn't have a single unscathed spot on her body.

"Isn't this a good experience?" the system asked, stroking its chin.

"You try it and see if it works." Mo Xiaoxin wanted to strangle the system. How could it ask such a question so calmly and with such a childlike tone?

The system strategically took out a pen and wrote on a piece of paper: "Mo Xiaoxin's death record: This death resulted in a neck injury and a new understanding of death."

Mo Xiaoxin glanced at it, utterly puzzled: "Why are you making this record?"

The system said in a serious tone, "Of course, it's to accumulate experience for the next death experience, to see which death has the biggest impact on you, which death is the most painful, and which death you feel nothing at all. This is the data statistics task of this system."

Mo Xiaoxin snorted coldly: "I refuse to participate in the death experience. You better send me back to reality right now."

"I'm sorry, host, you are already dead in reality."

"Then I must be a ghost, right? They should send me to Yama, the King of Hell, to be reincarnated!"

"I'm sorry, host, I don't have that permission. You have already been selected by the main system as an experience participant."

Mo Xiaoxin's expression changed, and she immediately lay down on the ground and refused to move: "I don't care, I don't want to participate."

The system scratched its head in frustration. This was a real problem. If the host wasn't willing to participate, it wouldn't be able to complete the task. Its round head started brainstorming: "Right, there's no lottery for this death."

[System notification: Congratulations, host, you have obtained a Ferrari. 997 experience attempts remaining.]

Mo Xiaoxin sat up abruptly, staring incredulously at the prize on the spinning wheel: a yellow Ferrari gleaming in the air.

What did she see?

Ferrari!!

This is a car she couldn't buy even if she worked her whole life!

Her dream car.

The pain in my neck doesn't seem to be as bad anymore.

She instantly became interested in the experiential game again.

By continuously participating in death simulations, one can obtain substantial rewards, and afterwards, one can be sent back to the real world to continue living.

It doesn't seem like a bad deal.

However, the pain of dying from the previous deaths will accumulate for the next one. Each death is different, and the combination of new and old injuries will make her experience of death even more painful.

Thinking back to the pain she felt this time, she hesitated, unsure if she could bear the increasing pain as it intensified.

After a moment's thought, Mo Xiaoxin said, "Can I experience it one more time? If I really can't take it, I'd rather you kill me."

The system's eyes lit up when it heard that Mo Xiaoxin was willing to give it a try.

There is hope, there is hope.

It nodded quickly: "Of course."

When Mo Xiaoxin opened her eyes again, she was back on the rooftop.

She decided to stay on the roof for now and wait for Leng Huai to kill the woman before going down.

She crouched down, not daring to move an inch, not even daring to breathe too much.

The scene from before repeated itself; Leng Huai once again showed no mercy as he snapped the woman's neck. Mo Xiaoxin watched in horror, not daring to blink.

"Aren't you coming down?" Leng Huai's sinister voice rang out from below.

Mo Xiaoxin's heart skipped a beat, and her hair stood on end.

It turned out that Leng Huai had already discovered that she was on top of him.

Leng Huai waved his hand and struck at Mo Xiaoxin's location. Tiles fell down with a whoosh, and Mo Xiaoxin felt her feet slip and fell heavily to the ground.

She fell to the ground in a fluster, rubbing her bruised and battered bottom: "Ouch, that hurts!"

Her hand touched something soft yet hard. Upon closer inspection, she realized it was Shui Lian's arm!

Shui Lian's body was gradually stiffening, her eyes bulging and staring with resentment as she died, as if those eyes were telling her some injustice.

Mo Xiaoxin had never seen a corpse this close before, and she flinched in fright, quickly standing up and moving away from the body.

Leng Huai approached her step by step, radiating a chilling aura: "Anyone who dares to spy on me will die!"

Before Mo Xiaoxin could react, her body and head separated.

Mo Xiaoxin woke up to the system's warm greetings, and this time she felt unprecedented pain.

When she woke up, her lips were purplish-black and her face was pale.

Just as Mo Xiaoxin was about to refuse the system's trial mission, the lucky wheel started spinning again.

[System notification: Congratulations, host, you have acquired a villa. 996 experience attempts remain.]

The words were on the tip of her tongue, but Mo Xiaoxin swallowed them back down.

It's a villa! It's a villa!

Mo Xiaoxin wanted to cry but had no tears.

This is a villa that you couldn't earn in several lifetimes.

Did she have any other choice?

So what if I die?

What's so great about dying?

It's just pain, isn't it?

Is there anything more painful than working overtime or being laid off?

Anyway, you can be resurrected. It's better than going back to work overtime and dying with only that little salary, right?

Mo Xiaoxin gritted her teeth: "I volunteer to participate in the death experience."

The system finally breathed a sigh of relief and quickly had Mo Xiaoxin sign the contract.

Recalling her previous death, Leng Huai's attacks were merciless, killing her in one strike. Fast, accurate, and ruthless.

It's clear that Leng Huai has absolutely no feelings for the original owner. Even though he treats her as a hostage, he's not afraid of the Southern Demon King's existence. The original owner's life is dispensable to him; perhaps to him, she's just an ant that he can crush at will.

In terms of the task experience alone, it should be relatively easy.

Mo Xiaoxin was thinking to herself, why not just walk into the trap and offer herself up, quickly refresh the count and return to reality?

Mo Xiaoxin was full of confidence. He thought that if he died 999 times, he could win a lot of prizes. When he returned to reality, he would just lie down and not bother with his lousy job.

She became more and more excited as she thought about it.

She felt resentful just thinking about her boss's arrogant attitude! She was determined to show him the balance; she could imagine how shocked he would be when he saw it.

"Please revive me!" Mo Xiaoxin said with a smile.

System: "Once you are ready, you can click the revive button to revive instantly."

A button appeared above my head.

It's quite intelligent.

She pressed the button without hesitation.

Once back on the roof, Mo Xiaoxin didn't linger. She seized the opportunity and jumped off the roof, landing in Leng Huai's chair.

The entire movement was fluid and seamless, without the slightest hesitation. Shui Lian was so startled by Mo Xiaoxin's sudden appearance that her attempt to seduce Leng Huai froze on the spot.

Mo Xiaoxin patted Shui Lian on the shoulder, her tone bold and uncompromising: "Sister, can I cut in line?"
