Chapter 170: Yue'er is injured

Tomb city, tomb palace.

It was already very late at night, and everyone in the tomb had fallen asleep except for the patrolling guards.

But there was still a candle burning in Liang Meng's room.

Inside the room, Liang Meng and Ziruo looked at Yue'er who had finally fallen asleep on the bed and breathed a sigh of relief.

I don’t know where this child got all the energy from, but he kept pestering Liang Meng to play with her.

They were all games that Liang Meng considered extremely childish. For example, hide-and-seek, or throwing a ball to see who could grab it first. Or two people staring at each other to see who could burst out laughing first.

ah! ! !

Liang Meng was about to collapse. What kind of game was this that had no technical skills at all?

The key is that she can't win yet. As soon as she wins, Yue'er will have a desire to win that she doesn't know where it comes from and will have to try again until she wins.

So Liang Meng could only lose this stupid game with tears in her eyes.

"Huh, finally fell asleep. I'm leaving now."

As the host, Ziruo was content to accompany him all the time. She was also very sleepy at this moment. She yawned, raised her hand and patted Liang Meng's shoulder, then turned and walked out the door.

"Hey, wait."

As soon as she opened the door, Liang Meng called out to her. She immediately hunched her neck and looked towards the bed. Fortunately, Yue'er must have been very tired and didn't wake her up.

Liang Meng breathed a sigh of relief, tiptoed to push Ziruo out of the door, turned around and carefully closed the door, and then stood in the yard with Ziruo.

"What's wrong?"

The entire mansion was unusually quiet, and Ziruo's voice unconsciously lowered. She yawned again after she finished speaking. She was really sleepy.

"What did you talk about with Yue'er's eldest brother in Yacheng today?"

"That's it?"

Liang Meng nodded, with a look of 'that's it' written on his face.

"Look."

Zi Ruo said this and pointed a finger upwards.

Liang Meng raised his head. In the inky black sky, there was only a hazy crescent moon and a few stars that appeared and disappeared.

Liang Meng raised his head and turned around in a circle. His tone of inquiry was extremely serious.

"What are you looking at?"

"Look at the sky. It's already so late. Can we save our questions for tomorrow?"

After Ziruo finished speaking, she yawned again.

Thinking that Ziruo had to go to the training ground every day to train, who was not as idle as himself, Liang Meng smiled awkwardly, raised his hand and patted Ziruo on the shoulder, and said.

"Sorry, sorry. Go get some rest."

As he spoke, he pushed Ziruo out of the yard. Ziruo didn't hold back and said, "You should get some rest as well," and left.

Liang Meng didn't turn around and return to the bedroom until Ziruo completely disappeared into the night.

Liang Meng had been busy all day, and after coming back to play with Yue'er for many hours, he was extremely tired and sleepy.

Just now he still had the energy to pull Ziruo to ask this and that, but as soon as he touched the bed, he was immediately plunged into endless darkness.

That night, something happened.

Coming towards the moon.

The visitor was very familiar with the layout of the tomb and was very sure which bedroom Yue'er lived in. Without alerting any guards, he directly pried open the door and entered.

Fortunately, although our hall master is a bit nervous and has such good sleep quality that he cannot be woken up even by the beating of gongs and drums, he was unusually alert that night.

He woke up the moment the man opened the door and came in, but he still closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep.

The man's footsteps were so light that even in the silent night, if one listened carefully, one could not hear a single sound.

Liang Meng instinctively felt that the man was already standing in front of the bed. He opened his eyes slightly and saw a short and thin figure in the darkness.

The moment the man raised his hands, Liang Meng jumped up from the bed, flipped his hands quickly, and cast a spell that knocked the man to the ground.

The man made a hoarse sound in his throat, and his body rolled quickly on the ground. In the blink of an eye, he was in front of the bed again.

Liang Meng was horrified, surprised that his spiritual power hadn't caused him any damage.

As soon as they fought, the man realized that Liang Meng was not someone to be trifled with. The opportunity must not be missed. Since the enemy had been alerted, he could only try his best to seize this chance.

In the darkness, two balls of flames flew towards the person on the bed. Liang Meng quickly raised his hand and cast a spell to stop them.

Who knew that he would fall for the man's trick of making a feint to the east and attacking in the west? When Liang Meng focused all his attention on blocking the two flames, the short and thin man dodged very quickly and jumped onto the bed, slapping Yue'er's eyebrows with his palm.

Liang Meng only heard Yue'er groan in pain, and her body bounced up and fell down very quickly, and there was no movement at all.

Liang Meng was anxious and panicked. She didn't know what that man had done to Yue'er, nor did she know how Yue'er was doing now.

Seeing that person jumping out of bed and trying to run away, I just knew that I had to catch him and not let him get away.

He rotated his palms towards each other, then slapped the man. The gleaming ice knife in his palm whizzed towards the man. Then, without giving the man a chance to react, he slapped out again, and an even denser rain of arrows flew towards the man who jumped out of the window to escape.

Fortunately, it hit the guy.

Unfortunately, the man escaped through the window with his injuries. Liang Meng started to chase him, but when he jumped over the window, the broken window frame caught his robe. Liang Meng pulled hard, tearing his clothes and cutting his fingers.

When I looked up again, there was no trace of the thief.

As Liang Meng jumped out of the window, the bedroom door was pushed open with force, and the room instantly became as bright as day.

Liang Meng turned around and saw Ziruo, wearing only her inner clothes, walking towards her quickly.

"What's wrong? I heard a noise here. What happened?"

Thinking of Yue'er lying on the bed, Liang Meng's heart skipped a beat. He ignored Ziruo and hurried to Yue'er's side.

Seeing Yue'er's expression, Liang Meng felt as if he had been splashed with a basin of ice water. His whole body was freezing cold. His heart was sinking.

Yue'er's fair, rosy face had now turned a dark purple, with a grayish hue between her brows. Her eyes were tightly closed, her body was stiff, and her moist lips were as pale as paper.

The whole person exudes a gray and decadent aura that suggests life is about to end.

Ziruo was also frightened by Yue'er's appearance. It took her a while to find her voice again. However, she couldn't utter a complete sentence.

"Yue... Yue'er, t-what... happened?"

"Someone just broke in."

Seeing Yue'er's chest still rising and falling, Liang Meng forced himself to calm down. After speaking to Ziruo, he stretched out a hand to cover Yue'er's face, took a deep breath, concentrated his mind, and slowly recited the spell.

Unfortunately, it’s useless!

Even though Liang Meng's clothes were soaked in the process of treating Yue'er, Yue'er's symptoms showed no improvement at all.

Not poisoning!

Otherwise, the spiritual power he had just used to force out the poison and heal the wound would have been of no use at all.

And the strangest thing is that there seems to be a ball of cotton in Yue'er's body, constantly absorbing the spiritual power injected by Liang Meng.

Liang Meng moved his palm away from Yue'er's face, lifted his sleeve to wipe the sweat from his forehead, turned to Ziruo and shook his head helplessly.

"Did you see the man's appearance clearly?"

Liang Meng frowned and shook his head again.
