Chen Hu walked to Jiang Kexin's side: "It's okay, I'll listen to whatever you decide. I will definitely protect your mother and daughter."
Jiang Kexin smiled gratefully at Chen Hu: "Then we've decided to go to G City. Thank you for reminding us. If we have no problems going there, I'll let you know, and you can come over too."
I nodded: "Okay, have you found a car?"
Chen Hu helped Jiang Kexin to her feet: "We've found it. We're just about to set off. I gave our address to Xiao K, and Xiao K said that two other lucky people will be coming to meet us. They should be arriving soon according to the agreed time."
I frowned warily: "Did Little K say who those two people are?"
Jiang Kexin shook her head: "I didn't say. I know what you're thinking. I confirmed with Xiao K. Xiao K said that the person is disabled and has a younger brother who takes care of him. They are all pitiful people, so I agreed to bring them along."
I felt relieved: "Okay, we'll help you get your luggage into the car."
Jiang Kexin smiled and thanked them. Ji Lin'an and Qianliyan helped Chen Hu carry the luggage. Jiang Kexin carried the baby and we went out through the door on the first basement floor and went down another floor to the parking lot. The parking lot was empty and there were no zombies. We put the luggage in the trunk, and Jiang Kexin secured the baby cradle to the seat and got out of the car to greet us: "Then we're getting ready to go. Our agreed meeting place is at the side gate of the community. Let's go see if those two have arrived yet."
I nodded in agreement. Just then, the driver's side door suddenly opened and closed at lightning speed, and the car started moving. We turned around in surprise and saw a hand sticking out from the open window. In an instant, Chen Hu grabbed Jiang Kexin and grabbed her. I quickly activated the protective shield, but it was too late. Chen Hu fell in front of us. The person inside the car was still firing at us, but the bullets were blocked by the protective shield and slid to the ground. The car made a sharp turn, and I saw the person's face clearly. It was Zhu Chen. Seeing that he could no longer attack us, Zhu Chen drove away. Ji Lin'an dragged Chen Hu and we found a place to hide.
Jiang Kexin was already in tears, repeatedly calling out "My child, my child," while her hand was on Chen Hu's chest. Chen Hu had shielded Jiang Kexin from a bullet that hit his chest. Seeing that Chen Hu was unable to move, Ji Lin'an subconsciously reached out to check his breathing, frowned, and shook his head. Jiang Kexin broke down, picked up Chen Hu, and cried loudly. We all stood there, at a loss.
Suddenly, Kaka also collapsed to the ground. We then saw that Kaka's back was covered in blood. I immediately turned Kaka over to check on him and found that he had been shot in the back. I looked at Qianliyan in surprise: "What happened? Weren't you protecting Kaka?"
Qianliyan stood there, stunned, his eyes wide and filled with tears: "It's my fault, it's all my fault. It all happened so suddenly. When I put the last piece of luggage in the trunk, Kaka suddenly hugged my back. When I heard the gunshot, I immediately turned around and protected Kaka. I guess Kaka took the bullet for me to protect me."
Qianliyan was already kneeling on the ground, holding Kaka, who still had a sliver of consciousness. I looked at Ji Lin'an, who nodded knowingly. Ji Lin'an picked up Chen Hu, Qianliyan held Kaka, and I helped Jiang Kexin back to her house. Ji Lin'an took Jiang Kexin into the room to calm her down. I turned on my phone, changed the default address, and took Kaka into the medical space. Two hours later, Kaka was taken out of the medical space. The bullet had been removed, and Kaka was out of danger, though still unconscious.
Qianliyan carried Kaka to one of the rooms to settle him in. Jiang Kexin happened to come out and saw that my skill could heal people. She scrambled forward and grabbed me, saying, "Su Yi, please save Chen Hu again, please save him."
I gently stroked Jiang Kexin's hand: "It's not that I don't want to, but my skills are not enough to heal someone who has already died. Chen Hu just died, and now he has been dead for so long, there is no possibility of him dying. If he still has a trace of consciousness, I will definitely help you save him."
Jiang Kexin let go of my hand and collapsed to her knees: "Chen Hu is gone, and my child is gone too. Zhu Chen is taking revenge on me. He is so cruel. I helped him so much, and he actually tried to kill me."
I looked at Ji Lin'an, who gently shook his head at me. I helped Jiang Kexin up and said, "The child is in his hands now and is in danger at any time. Tell us what happened between you and Zhu Chen, and maybe we can still help you."
Jiang Kexin kept shaking her head: "There's nothing I can do, there's nothing I can do, Zhu Chen won't give me the child."
I frowned: "Why won't you have the child?"
Jiang Kexin suddenly laughed: "It's my own fault, I deserve it."
Before we could react, Jiang Kexin pulled out a knife from somewhere and slit her own throat. I quickly reached out to stop her, but it was too late. Jiang Kexin's blood sprayed all over my face, and my eyes were instantly covered in blood, making it impossible to open them. I could only feel a pair of large hands holding a cloth wiping my eyes and face. I struggled to open my eyes, and Ji Lin'an was shirtless. I looked at his anxious eyes and the blood-stained white shirt in his hand. I turned my head to look at Jiang Kexin, but Ji Lin'an quickly stepped in front of me to block my view: "Don't look, let's go to Wufeng's place first."
I nodded in agreement. Qianliyan was standing at the door of the room with an incredulous look on his face. Ji Lin'an said, "Get ready, we're going to Wufeng's place now."
Qianliyan nodded, turned around, and went back to the room to hug Kaka. I went to the bathroom and quickly washed my face with water. There was still a lot of blood on my hair and neck. I washed it several times, but the water was still red. Suddenly, I heard Qianliyan's exclamation behind me. I immediately rushed out and heard several gunshots. I saw Kaka lying on the ground and Qianliyan struggling to get up. I turned around and saw Zhu Chen. I immediately activated my protective shield and looked around for Ji Lin'an. Zhu Chen was extremely excited when he saw me: "Who are you looking for? Your lover? I've already killed him."
