Chapter 138 Today, I will transform from Buddha to Taoism!

The previous Human Emperor Li Hui and the head of the Wang family died in front of the eyes of the people.

Before he fell, he provoked Wang to take action. He fell from the [Zhaixing Tower]. With his mortal body and no qi to protect his body, he died on the spot.

This scene was seen by countless people.

This family had been planning for a long time, and the fanatical parade of a Jedi comeback turned into deathly silence in an instant.

"The Emperor, the Emperor is dead!"

"The Emperor was killed by the aristocratic family!!"

"Protect the emperor, protect the emperor!"

Accompanied by waves of panicked shouts, this wave-like emotion quickly spread and then swept across the entire capital. The plans and arrangements of the aristocratic families were directly overturned in the face of the fatal death of the Human Emperor. When Li Zhai rushed over, he could only see his brother's bloody body.

The facts that Li Hui hoped the people would see were laid out in this way:

The noble family killed the emperor!

What a serious crime!

Again, countless people witnessed it with their own eyes!

This is the simplest conspiracy, but it requires the Emperor to sacrifice his own life.

But it is also the most harsh conspiracy.

In the following days, this news swept in all directions like a storm and spread throughout the world at an unprecedented speed. Just like what many noble families had said when they slandered Li Zhai before, people would not care about the truth, but only care about surprising news that they had never seen or heard of before and that could attract people's attention.

Just one is true and the other is false.

With his death, Li Hui dealt the final fatal blow to the aristocratic family, which was so deeply rooted that even the mighty king's blade could not completely cut it off.

Before this, the eight great families that had existed in the human world for thousands of years were deeply rooted in this world. Facing Li Zhai's ruthless eradication, they also instinctively fought back and resisted. After three months, nearly a hundred days of impact on each other, it was difficult to completely wipe out.

It misled the people and stirred up rumors, which was extremely disadvantageous to Li Zhai.

There are many overlords in history who were invincible on the battlefield, but fell because of people's gossip and aristocratic families; they did not die on the battlefield, but died in the court, in the trap woven by Xun Gui and the aristocratic families.

However, after Li Hui issued an edict of repentance and died, he reversed the entire situation.

The swords swung out by the various families eventually cut their own necks and vital points.

According to historical records, when the aristocratic families were about to lose their original power and wealth, they lost their minds, and in the struggle and shoving, they pushed Li Hui down from the Zhaixing Tower, and the head of the Wang family fell to death with him. However, people in later generations who studied the historical materials doubted this.

If the Wang family leader wanted to kill him, there was no need to sacrifice himself.

Some people looked through the records of unofficial history and found that when he was young, Li Hui was in charge of the Shenwu public opinion and spy agency. He always maintained a gentle appearance, but his methods were cold and harsh, and his tactics were extremely strong. He quickly seized power when Emperor Youli was deposed, but was defeated by the upright military strategy of King Weiwu.

After his death, all the noble families involved in planning this incident were cleared of all charges by the furious King Weiwu with the unforgivable crimes of "rebellion against the superiors" and "conspiracy to kill the emperor", and no one could plead for them.

In this era, if the name is not right, the words will not flow, and if the words are not flowing, things will not be accomplished.

Li Hui's death handed the last sword to Li Zhai, allowing his younger brother to complete an unprecedented achievement.

This is a complex character. He has both conscience and compassion. He has great sympathy for the Xuanjia Army that fought in Jinzhou. When he was a prince, he helped his brothers to rebel against their father. However, he also has his own ambitions and is willing to abandon his father. He even joins forces with Buddhism to resist the threat of Taoism that abolished his father.

But when he was finally faced with the issue of [dividing the country], he regained his composure.

With his death, he pulled the myth of the aristocratic family down from its high platform, and killed the aristocratic family that had existed for thousands of years for the people of the world!

These noble families are like climbing on a towering tree of the human world, greedily feeding themselves with the power of the human world. They clearly grow by devouring the flesh and blood of humans, yet they think they are holding up the human world; they clearly rely on countless lives in the human world to rise upward, yet they feel they have reached this height by relying on themselves.

These aristocratic families were given the [legitimacy] by Li Hui in front of all the people, and were cut off from the thousands of years of history in a decisive manner that was inevitably stained with innocent blood. Without the support of the flesh and blood of the common people, the so-called aristocratic families would only fall from their heights into the dust, and lose their original high status.

Without these vines, this big tree in the world can stretch out its branches and leaves, feel the sunshine and rain, and grow better.

A month after Li Hui's death, Li Zhai's knife swings became more familiar and sinister.

A mighty king.

His mother died early, his father fainted, his brother committed suicide, and he had no wife or children.

In this world, he seemed to be alone, just like an extremely sharp knife without a scabbard, the knife became sharper and more reckless.

"How can there be such a tyrant in the world?!"

"How can there be such a hegemon in this world?!"

Su Shengyuan looked at Li Zhai's figure, and even he couldn't help sighing in his heart. His wife's family was a great family, and they wanted to plead for mercy. Li Zhai walked in with a white cloth tied on his forehead and a sword in hand, staring at this gentleman who was famous for his integrity. The first thing he said was: "Even a famous scholar like Mr. Su, who is famous all over the world, wants to plead for the family?"

Su Shengyuan couldn't help but pause.

Li Zhai's second words made him shudder. He said, "The power of the aristocratic family has reached this point."

"That's why it needs to be erased."

Su Shengyuan sighed and advised: "But there are many kind people in the noble families."

Li Zhai looked at Su Shengyuan calmly: "Are all the people evil?"

"Or do you think that Master Su feels that it is a punishment and an insult that I abolish the aristocratic families, take back the land, and let the people of the aristocratic families return to the common people?"

"Do you think that people from aristocratic families are superior and should step on the heads of ordinary people?"

The Seventh Prince, the Mighty King, who was considered a rough and rude warrior, rendered Su Shengyuan speechless with just these few words.

Li Zhai stretched out his hand in a calm tone and said:

"It seems that even a famous scholar like Master Su is burdened by his stance."

"Please go back."

Li Zhai knew that not all the children of noble families whom he had beheaded and deposed were unforgivable; among them there were those who had committed crimes, but there were also innocent ones. However, Li Zhai had seen clearly that what was being beheaded with this sword were not independent individuals, but the [noble families].

This is for the sake of the future generations to kill the dynastic families.

Even if I have to bear all the evil and filth, I will not hesitate!

While the aristocratic families were being eliminated one after another, Li Hui was buried by King Weiwu with the rites of a king.

On the day of Li Hui's burial, Qi Wuhuo did not go. He just stood on a mountain in the mortal world, watching from afar as people bid farewell to this short-lived "Human Emperor". The sky was gloomy, and a drizzle was falling continuously. Qi Wuhuo stood on the green hill with his sleeves fluttering, watching the team going away.

I don’t know why I remembered the first time I met Li Hui.

At that time, we were still in Zhongzhou.

Li Hui was still a gentle man dressed simply and wearing a jade pendant; Li Zhai was just a rough young man with a simple laugh and the appearance of a military general. At that time, in the Mingzhen Taoist League, they paid some money and treasures and invited him to preach. Li Hui had the idea of recruiting him, while Li Zhai just wanted to pull him out and have a discussion with him.

And now, one of them has killed a noble family for his own good, and his body is almost a bloody mess; the other one is being tempered like fine steel in this turbulent era. This is the nature of a hero. No external torture can destroy them, but they will gradually become harder under repeated impacts and forging.

Time is so cruel.

It makes people who once laughed together go their separate ways and become enemies.

Only when you see people you are really familiar with, who first become friends, then enemies, and finally die, do you truly feel the ruthlessness of time and the passage of time.

The Taoist held a glass of wine, looked at the team over there, drank half of it, raised his hand, and spilled the glass of wine on the ground.

You are gone.

I am living.

The Taoist turned and paced back and forth, and the team's flags danced wildly in the wind.

It seems like paper money is flying in the sky.

The sky is iron blue, the earth is dark and vast, the Taoist's robe is fluttering, and he is walking away from the worldly world step by step, getting farther and farther away.

"Chronicles of Emperors" - Li Hui, learned literature at a young age, and had strategic plans. All his policies were benevolent. He ascended the throne after You and Li were deposed. He was diligent in governing and loved the people. He promoted culture and laws, reduced taxes and levies, and swept away the trend of You and Li's late period. There were signs of revival. However, he was a fanatical believer in Buddhism and promoted Buddhism widely, causing chaos in the world.

King Weiwu was placed under house arrest in Beijing. Later, various noble families put on yellow robes and wanted to rise up and divide the land. The emperor was angry and rebuked them, and issued the "Edict of Confession of Sins". The Wang family pushed the emperor to fall off a building and die.

King Weiwu was filled with grief and anger, so he killed more than seventy people from the implicated aristocratic families. From then on, the aristocratic families declined and never recovered.

Enter the imperial temple and honor kings and princes.

To be kind to the people and to be courteous is called culture. To be kind and courteous is called culture.

If a child dies prematurely, it is called "Shang". If a child dies young with knowledge, it is called "Shang".

Posthumous title: Wenshang!

After Li Hui's death, Li Zhai used cruel means to investigate the various aristocratic families, and finally confirmed that no matter whether it was the aristocratic families who went to seduce Li Weifeng or the aristocratic families who went to Zhaixing Tower, there was a vague shadow of Buddhism behind them. After spending more time investigating, he discovered that while he was focusing his attention on dealing with the aristocratic families, Buddhism was also constantly preaching in various places.

The Kyushu are as vast as mountains, and Buddhist monks are like ants. How can they be eliminated?

It's impossible to kill them all completely.

He looked at these monks who came from various places to preach the Dharma and were tied up. These monks had wounds on their faces and closed their eyes without saying a word.

They deceived the people into leaving their families and relatives, joining the temples, and becoming homeless, fatherless and motherless.

Li Zhai looked at these monks and wished he could chop them to death with the sword in his hand, but he was also very clear that killing them at this time would be meaningless and useless. When he was getting annoyed, someone reported that a guest had arrived.

Li Zhai calmed down and asked the soldiers to invite the visitor in. He saw the Taoist walking in with a whisk in his arm and a calm expression.

Li Zhai's expression relaxed, and after walking forward to greet him, he asked, "Master, why are you here today?"

Qi Wuhuo glanced at the monks who were tied up with ropes and rolled like gourds on the ground, and said:

"For Buddhism."

Li Zhai sighed and said, "The Taoist has been living in seclusion in the city. I haven't seen you for several months."

"I came here today because of this matter."

He threw the file on the table next to him.

He stood up, bowed and said, "Please teach me, sir."

He no longer addressed him as Taoist priest, but as Sir. Qi Wuhuo looked at the records in the file, and the struggle between Buddhism and the human world during this period of time seemed to reappear before his eyes.

At the beginning, Li Zhai turned his troops around from the border and marched back to the border in one breath, destroying many temples along the way and knocking down the statues in the temples; then Qi Wuhuo defeated the Buddha in the capital.

However, he never killed these Bodhisattvas.

But later on, the matter of the Nalanda Monastery was discovered. At this time, Qi Wuhuo finally started to kill. Now, the Nalanda Monastery is gone, and the Buddhas are not allowed to enter. Instead, countless monks have been sent out from all over the world to enter the human world. They do not build temples, do not have high cultivation, but just keep on preaching the Dharma, as if eating away at the fortune of humanity.

The tied-up monk said calmly, "Amitabha, you two don't need to do any more useless work."

"My Buddha's Dharma is boundless, vast and broad, and can save all suffering. In this world, it is time for my Buddhist sect to flourish. This is also an opportunity for the human world. Even if you kill me, it will be difficult to cut off the boundless Dharma."

"Why not lead the people of this country to shave their heads, change their clothes, and follow the Buddha? That's the right way!"

Those monks who were captured looked calm and fearless.

“Shut up!!!”

Li Zhai swept the sword in his hand with its sheath across, hitting the monk directly in the face, leaving a glaring mark and dropping a tooth covered in blood. However, the monk did not care and just smiled gently.

As Qi Wuhuo swept his whisk across, Buddhism advanced step by step, as if the thread of cause and effect was constantly tightening, and the conflict between the two sides would only become more and more acute. Qi Wuhuo could almost see the Buddha's light eroding the world from all directions, and felt the rise and fall of luck.

There was calmness in the Taoist's eyes.

One retreat, two retreats.

Don’t blame me for being like this.

Li Zhai asked in a deep voice: "What is the Taoist's method?"

These Buddhist monks who were captured were all those who practiced in the Buddha kingdoms in the Western Paradise.

They were all extremely fanatical and devout regarding the Buddhist teachings that they practiced, and they showed no fear even when facing the mighty King Li Zhai and Qi Wuhuo. They firmly believed that Buddhism would surely flourish and triumph, and that what was before them were merely necessary tribulations. Even if they died here, it would only be a sacrifice for light and justice.

At this moment, he just lowered his eyes and recited Buddhist scriptures with a pious look, and did not care about the method mentioned by the Taoist.

They heard the Taoist's answer:

"Buddhism has entered the world, and its Dharma has eroded the destiny of mankind. Although it cannot be destroyed now, it should be corrected."

When the monks heard this, a smile appeared on their faces.

My Buddha's Dharma is boundless, and you should be afraid of it.

However, what do harmony and correction mean?

They were curious, and then they heard the Taoist speak slowly:

"The Buddhist temples were changed into palaces, Sakyamuni was changed into the Heavenly Lord, Bodhisattva was changed into the Great Master, Arhat was changed into the Venerable Master, monks were changed into the Virtuous Master, all of them kept their hair, wore crowns and held scrolls..."

Um?!!

The monks' hearts stagnated for a moment, and then they realized the weight of this sentence. As if they were terrified and frightened, they suddenly opened their eyes and wanted to scold subconsciously, but when they looked up, they saw an extremely incredible scene and their faces changed suddenly.

boom!!!

They seemed to see the sky and earth become dark, as if they saw all things sinking, as if they saw the Buddha's light, but they also seemed to see a huge and majestic figure behind the Taoist, with a cold and indifferent expression, holding a sword and ruthlessly slashing at the Buddha's light and luck!

The Buddhas devour the fortune of the human world, but they forget that they also have great fortune.

One's own luck can also be devoured.

It is to transform Buddha into Tao, and to swallow up the destiny!

What a ruthless Taoist! What a vicious method!

The Taoist glanced at the monks who were horrified, and spoke. Every word he spoke seemed to be accompanied by an infinite amount of luck, falling into this catastrophe of heaven and earth, stirring up a raging wave, reversing the situation, causing countless ripples to spread out in all directions, and extending to future generations. However, at this moment, it was only sunny and windy, and the Taoist said in a calm tone:

"Change to Buddhism and become the Great Awakening Golden Immortal."

"Change your clothes and call your surname."

"Merge in, Daomen."
