The Taoist's voice was calm and slow, and he spoke each word with pauses, but it seemed to be connected with countless energy forces. To the ears of the passers-by, it was as loud as thunder. When the last word fell, the tied monks sat down on the ground at once, their minds went blank, and they were stunned and unable to speak.
Transform Buddha into Tao!
Sakyamuni was changed to Tianzun, Bodhisattva was changed to Dashi, Arhat was changed to Zunzhe, and monk was changed to Deshi? !
If the name is not right, the words will not flow, and if the words are not flowing, things will not be accomplished!
The destiny of humanity is a force formed by the recognition of countless common people. If an order is issued with the status of the Human Emperor to change the system and order, in the eyes of common people, Buddhism will become a branch of Taoism. Then, they will recognize the Buddhist lineage, and will add one more step to this recognition, which is [this is just a branch of Taoism].
The destiny of humanity is like a surging river at high tide, flowing from here to there. What this Taoist did was to directly integrate the destiny of Buddhism into the destiny of the world, making the destiny of Buddhism a branch of the destiny of Taoism, and Taoism in turn assists the world, like giving an outline.
Just as the Yellow River flows eastward into the sea, its tributaries naturally do the same.
If Taoism is like this, how can its branches make any other choice?
The longer time goes by, the more people accept the view that Buddhism is a branch of Taoism.
In this way, not only will Buddhism not be able to take any of the good fortune of the human world, but the good fortune of Buddhism may even flow back into the human world.
From now on, Guanyin Bodhisattva will be called Guanyin Dashi.
The Dragon-Subduing Arhat and the Tiger-Subduing Arhat are commonly referred to as the Venerable Dragon-Subduing Arhat and the Venerable Tiger-Subduing Arhat.
These are just like the holes on a thousand-mile long embankment. People call the powerful Buddhists like this, generation after generation, and even for thousands or tens of thousands of years in the future. By that time, people may not know why they call these Bodhisattvas and Arhats of Buddhism like this.
But this has been going on for thousands and tens of thousands of years, with countless people calling the Bodhisattvas and Arhats of Buddhism with the titles bestowed by Taoism. Isn't this also an enormous ritual that has lasted for tens of thousands of years?
The fortune of Buddhism will be eroded and affected by Taoism.
And it’s an impact that lasts forever.
It's like boiling a frog in water.
Not fierce, not violent.
Never stop!
As time goes by, there is a possibility that Buddhism may even be integrated into Taoism.
This, this is going to cut off the root of Buddhism’s fortune!
"You!!! You are a demon, a demon!!!"
"Such a vicious plan!"
"Demon, demon!"
The monk struggled violently. He was caught on purpose, just to get to the palace. At this moment, his heart was shaken. He stood up suddenly, and with a shake of his arms, he broke the ropes that bound him. Then he shouted angrily: "You are a demon, you are telling lies to confuse people, and you want to destroy my boundless Buddhism. Today, I will do my best to make you pay the price!"
Immediately, boundless Buddha light burst out, and the Vajra image appeared behind him. He clasped his hands together and smashed down towards Qi Wuhuo.
Li Zhai has drawn his sword.
The Taoist, however, had a calm expression. He raised his hand, and his five slender white fingers pierced through the layers of Buddha's light and pressed on the monk's shoulder. The next moment, the Buddha's light shattered, as if a great force from the human world was flowing here. The Taoist only used two fingers to suppress the monk, and then under the boundless force, the monk bowed down to the world with his hands clasped together.
boom!!!
His knees dug into the ground, unable to struggle.
The Taoist raised his finger and said, "I have already given in three times."
"Taoists are calm and modest, and do not want to commit more sins."
"But we can't take even a single step back."
The monk coughed up blood and said, "You, you, your behavior will inevitably incur the wrath of all Buddhas and bring about endless calamities. This body will fall into the endless purgatory and suffer the many punishments of the eighteen levels of hell before you can atone for your sins! Atone for your sins!"
"Although we die, we can be reincarnated!"
"In all the Buddhas' lands, one can obtain supreme compassion, great freedom, and great liberation!"
"Eighteen levels of hell?"
The Taoist shook his head.
The monk didn't know why, but he seemed to catch a glimpse of the Taoist's divine will through his telepathy. In that divine will, there was the Yellow Springs Purgatory, endless and gloomy, with many ghosts holding weapons, shouting and chanting. There was a man in a black robe, occupying a distinguished position in the underworld. Looking at his face, it was the Taoist in front of him.
? !!!!
The expression on the monk's face froze bit by bit, and he stared at the Taoist priest with a gentle temperament in front of him in the sunlight.
There was a huge wave of emotions in my heart.
The Lord of the Underworld? !
The rage and curse-like words he had just spoken froze in an instant as if his bones had been drained out. As a fanatical follower of the original Buddhism that took "Reincarnation" as its core doctrine, he suddenly discovered that the enemy he had to face was the Lord of the Underworld who managed reincarnation.
For a moment, his brain seemed to stop working. The Buddhas, the human world, the underworld, the Taoist sect, he finally seemed to gradually realize that he seemed to be involved in something horrible. He sat there quietly, looking at the Taoist in front of him in disbelief. The Taoist said, "Do you have anything else to say?"
"Well, King Mighty, thank you for your help."
The Taoist turned around and walked away.
…
At this moment, Li Hui was dead. The mighty King Li Zhai aroused the anger of the world. Instead of killing the monks, he changed their clothes. A large number of monks either returned to secular life or became [Deshi]. The original statues of Buddhas were all like old monks, wearing ordinary simple clothes, with either bald heads or [polished flesh buns].
It is a bulge of flesh and bones, and its shape resembles a bun, but it is actually not hair at all.
The Mahaprajnaparamita Sutra says that the Tathagata has an Ushnishak on his head that is high, prominent and round, like a canopy, which is one of the thirty-two characteristics of the Buddha.
After the mighty king issued the order, all the craftsmen in the world were mobilized. At this moment, an old craftsman smacked his lips and looked at the huge Buddha statue in front of him with worry. How could he not be worried? The emperor opened his mouth and his subordinates ran around, saying that all Bodhisattvas and Buddha statues should have hair.
But this is not something that can be accomplished in a short period of time!
It can’t be finished. It can’t be finished at all!
The apprentice next to him also had a sad face and said to his master: "Master, the government order requires us to replace all the Buddhist statues within three months, but each statue takes several months to carve. The two of us are responsible for more than a dozen Buddha statues. This is impossible."
The old craftsman rolled his eyes, hit his apprentice on the head with the tool in his hand, and said unhappily:
"Nothing can be done?!"
"Hey, look at what you said. If we can't do this, then we don't have to do it anymore!"
The disciple seemed not to have heard the sarcastic words from his master, and said happily:
"So, you don't have to do the work of a stonemason anymore?!"
"Bullshit, your head will move away from now on!"
The old craftsman cursed loudly, kicked his lazy apprentice on the buttocks, and said, "If we can't make these Buddha heads today, your head and mine won't have to stay on our necks!"
In such anger, he kicked his apprentice to the ground. The apprentice covered his butt, thinking about his newly married wife in bed. He really didn't want to carve stone for three months with his skinny master. But Old Wang next door still had a spark in his eyes.
How can I steal some time?
He stared blankly at the appointment letter in his hand, which required him to [keep his hair and wear a crown].
Keep your hair...
His eyes dropped down to the "polished flesh bun", the last and most noble of the thirty-two characteristics of Buddhism. The young man was quick-witted, and suddenly an idea came to his mind. He sat up and looked at the Buddha statue. His eyes became brighter and brighter. Suddenly, he poked his master with his hand and said, "Master, I have an idea!"
"Huh? What's the solution?!"
The young apprentice pointed at the [polished flesh bun] and said, "Master, look at this bump on the head, does it look like hair?"
The old craftsman knew something about Buddha statues, and cursed: "This thing is a lump of flesh, not hair..."
His voice suddenly stopped, and the young apprentice also stopped. They looked at the fleshy bun and fell silent.
Then they murmured in unison: "It's so similar..."
"If there were some hair lines carved on it, it would be more like it."
The two masters and apprentices looked at each other, and immediately a consensus emerged in their hearts.
otherwise……
Taking a break?
It seems that the time given for this order is too short, and the workload is too much and too heavy. The vast majority of working people actually have a certain kind of lazy wisdom that they share a consensus on, but they don't know that their little laziness has created a gap in the style of Buddhist statues at this moment.
Before this, the Buddha had [polished his fleshy bun], which was a fleshy bun without any hair lines.
After this, there were hair lines on the top of the Buddha statues' buns, like grown hair.
Among the Bodhisattvas, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is called Great Master, Manjusri Bodhisattva, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva and Maitreya Bodhisattva all remain in the later generations with the posture of holding Dharma and wearing a crown. Only Maitreya Bodhisattva became a Buddha in later generations and avoided the influence of the fleshy bun. His Bodhisattva posture has a crown, while his Buddha posture has become a rare bald Buddha.
But Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was always asleep.
He had never been involved in anything, and a Taoist priest spoke up to excuse him.
Therefore, Ksitigarbha is the only one among all the great Bodhisattvas who maintains the monks’ habit of not growing hair.
There are great changes in the world, surging like a long river.
The Nine Provinces of the human world are too vast. It took more than a month for such an order to spread throughout the world and then be thoroughly implemented, even with the military order of the mighty king. The trees on the earth sprouted green buds, and the tender green buds stretched and grew, turning into dark green. The flowers bloomed and then gradually withered.
It was already June on earth, and Old Green Ox could feel the weather was gradually getting hotter. The bells hanging outside the storage room were swaying in the wind, emitting bursts of pleasant sounds.
The hooded little dragon girl poked her little head out and observed the place carefully, her face full of confidence.
From Xiaolongnu's thief's scouting log, the eighth one -
I recently checked out the storage room and found a new person inside.
There were originally two people, but then the strangely handsome man left, and there were only four people in the place.
Huh, only four!
A young-looking Taoist priest guards the Tibetan history.
He is young and weak, always reading books. You can tell at a glance that he doesn't exercise much and looks like he can't even tie a chicken!
A tiny little Taoist boy who likes to eat fruits.
Humph, I think I can kidnap him with just a date!
A big, lazy-looking servant who likes to chew soybeans and stare at the east in a daze, or he covers his chest with his hands, looking as if he is scared to death. He might be sick. I'll take him to see a doctor next time.
There was also a middle-aged Taoist priest with a frail face, who just swept the floor and lit lamps every day.
Humph, the old, weak, sick and disabled are nothing special.
The advantage is mine, the advantage is mine!
Even if four of them attack me together, I, Queen Dragon Girl, am not afraid at all!
Xiao Long Nu nodded, thinking that it was time for her to go up, but at this moment, she suddenly saw the Taoist priest raised his head and looked at her. There was a hint of sharpness in his brows, which frightened Xiao Long Nu and her body froze.
Qi Wuhuo's sight seemed to follow the changes in cause and effect destiny, and he caught a glimpse of the changes in the distant land to the west.
The Buddhas are complaining before a Buddha.
"That Taishang Xuanwei was too much. We had Buddha, and he killed Buddha. We had monks, and he excluded them. We built the Nalanda Monastery, and he found people to destroy it. We wanted to seek justice from him, but were stopped by a little Taoist boy outside the border."
"I wanted to help the Emperor revive, but he committed suicide."
"Now I have retreated again and again. We will not enter, and the Bodhisattvas will not enter. Let ordinary monks enter the world to spread the Dharma."
"But he wants to destroy my image and change my title!"
"Letting all the monks join the sect will destroy my luck and sever my Dharma lineage. Now, I can no longer tolerate what is happening. What should I do?! What should I do?"
[Amitabha Tathagata] sits on a lotus platform, surrounded by Buddhas, with his eyes closed and silent.
These countless voices of complaint followed the invisible thread that was hard to find even for the Great Masters and flew into the Thirty-Three Heavenly Palaces, into the South Pole Eternal Heaven, and into the ears of the South Pole Eternal Emperor. This one of the ultimate masters of the universe raised his eyes slightly, and said with great approval, "...directly transforming Buddha into Taoism, cutting off the firewood from under the cauldron, is quite cruel."
"It seems to have some flavor of Fuxi."
"It's a pity that you cut off the future of Buddhism based on its destiny, which means that the struggle in the human world has turned into a struggle between Buddhism and Taoism. From this point of view, your vision is too low and your pattern is too small. Moreover, you use this method to cut off the continuation of Buddhism. If I ignore your wisdom and use force to push you aside, what can you do?"
In the eyes of the Great Emperor Changsheng of the South Pole, this was the result of Tai Shang Xuanwei's careful planning. The fortune of the human world was improving day by day, and it was gradually prospering, pushing the human way forward. However, the Great Emperor Changsheng had not seen the young Taoist for quite a long time, and was a little surprised. Why could he cause such a change in the fortune of the human world?
Could it be that the ancient bloodline has awakened?
So much time has passed, and his innate human bloodline should have been broken long ago at this stage.
Buddhism is a step forward for the Great Emperor of the South Pole, and it is also the luck and fortune possessed by his incarnation and his nourishment.
I could just sit back and watch before, but now I can’t.
The Great Emperor of Longevity in the South Pole controlled those white threads.
[Amitabha Tathagata] slowly opened his eyes, and the sound of the Buddhas’ discussion stopped abruptly as they looked at him.
[The Tathagata of Infinite Life, Wisdom and Light] said gently and sincerely:
"I am aware of the suffering of my fellow practitioners. After all, this plan was my own. Now that it has failed, I should take the responsibility." He slowly raised his eyes and looked towards the direction of the human world. A smile very similar to that of the Southern Emperor of Immortality appeared on the corners of his mouth, and he said gently:
"I will take a look at the mysterious and profound things."
First, the Buddhists set up a plan to challenge the Taoists in the human world; then, they took a step back and it was the Bodhisattvas in the Nalanda Monastery; then, they took another step back and the Buddhas wanted to come but were forced to retreat, the temples were destroyed, and the Buddha statues were destroyed; at this moment, both the Buddhists and the Taoists had reached the final tense step, until this moment, the Taoists and the human world [transformed Buddhism into Taoism] and it completely broke out.
The influences of these events accumulated together and eventually turned into waves, with increasing momentum and force, like a silk thread being pulled tighter and tighter, eventually forcing the Southern Emperor of Longevity, who was lurking in Buddhism and wanted to sit on the sidelines and use the luck of the Buddhist catastrophe to make this incarnation also achieve the supreme position of Buddhism, to move.
You must not move.
If he didn't move, all his past arrangements would be dug up by that young man.
He stood up and walked down from the lotus platform.
Then he took a step forward and walked towards the human world.
One step, one lotus; one step, one thunder.
The momentum is like thunder!
Directly pointing at the human guests!
