Chapter 1333 You are the ones who have betrayed the North

"Kill! Let these traitors know our power!"

“You are the traitors, you have betrayed the King of the North, Olaf’s lackeys. Today I will show you who the new master of the North is.”

Two groups of Viking warriors clashed and cursed each other.

They, who once fought side by side, are now like enemies, each swing of their axes mercilessly aimed at the other.

Olaf shouted anxiously, "Go easy on them, try to capture them alive, don't hurt them."

“They were all once under the King of the North, and we share a common goal: to avenge the King of the North.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Olaf's Viking warriors immediately softened their attacks, relying on their numbers and well-prepared formation to engage Eric's Viking warriors in a prolonged battle.

The rebels brought by Eric couldn't help but show subtle changes in expression upon hearing what Olaf had just said.

A Viking warrior muttered to himself, "Even at this point, Olaf still refuses to kill us."

"Could it be that he truly wants to avenge the late king?"

With their morale wavering, their resistance gradually weakened, and soon some rebels were captured alive by the Viking warriors and left aside.

But this speed was still too slow. Olaf was getting impatient. He threw Eric on the ground, grabbed his battle axe, and rushed into the battle.

"Cough, cough!" Eric's face was ashen as he shakily pulled a bone whistle from his pocket, a whistle made by a dark archmage.

He struggled to put the bone whistle to his lips and then blew it with difficulty.

"Woo—" A long, drawn-out sound echoed outwards from the palace.

The city lords waiting outside exchanged glances upon hearing this voice: "Quick, let's go in. Eric needs support."

"Tap tap tap! Tap tap tap!"

Several city lords led a rebel army composed of troops from their respective cities and quickly entered the royal palace.

Eric couldn't help but smile as he heard footsteps coming from the palace gates.

There is still hope! There is still hope!

Although the rebel armies composed of troops from various cities were not as strong as the Viking warriors, they were numerous.

If they can defeat Olaf, or rescue themselves from here, there is still hope for the future!

"Kill!" Olaf brandished his double axes and charged bravely into the battle.

The title of Norway's number one fighting force is well-deserved. Although he had deliberately held back his strength, every time he swung his axe, Viking warriors were still sent flying without any power to resist.

In the blink of an eye, the Viking warriors who had joined Eric were utterly routed.

Olaf stood surrounded by the crowd and said disdainfully, "You lot think you can avenge the dead King of the North?"

"The King of the North alone could take you all down!"

"I will give you a chance because you are still young and loyal to the King of the North."

"Now, as long as you lay down your weapons and repent, I can forgive your past betrayals."

These words quickly broke down the Viking warriors' psychological defenses, and they laid down their weapons, shouting, "We are willing to surrender!"

Ultimately, these Viking warriors were still young, and the reason they dared to challenge veterans like Olaf was because they were instigated by Eric.

Olaf's Viking warriors took out the ropes they had prepared beforehand and tied up all the Viking warriors who had chosen to surrender, leaning them against the wall.

"Olav, the rebels are in!"

"Those city lords, leading their respective city's armies, have stormed in!"

Upon hearing this, Olaf's man suddenly turned fierce: "These are the real traitors! Come with me and take care of them!"

"Yes!" Some of the Viking warriors stayed behind to guard the surrendered Vikings, while the rest followed Olaf and ran towards the palace gate.

The lords of Muscat and Oslo have led their rebel armies to the palace gates.

They looked around the palace but couldn't find Eric.

The lord of Muscat frowned and asked loudly, "Olav, where is Eric?"

Olaf sneered, "Him? He was chopped down with just one axe blow."

"Wh...what?" The city lord of Oslo stared in disbelief at the battle axe in Olaf's hand, his face filled with shock.

Blood was still dripping from the sharp axe blade.

Inside the palace, Olaf's Viking warriors stood in neat rows, each one looking sharp and without a single wound.

However, they didn't even see a trace of the Viking warriors that Eric brought.

The two city lords could easily understand that all the Viking warriors Eric had brought had been wiped out!

The lord of Oslo immediately considered retreating; he did not have the courage to confront Olaf alone.

He instinctively took a step back and stammered, "Maybe...maybe we should just leave."

The lord of Muscat glared at him fiercely: "Fool, do you think we have any way out now?"

"Where to retreat to? Outside of Norway?"

"Even if Eric fails, we've prepared so hard for so long, it doesn't necessarily mean we'll lose to Olaf."

Olaf laughed heartily upon hearing this: "Well said! None of you will escape today."

"The King of the North is so busy with his wars that he has forgotten about you two little mice causing trouble at home."

"Don't worry, I will definitely cut off your heads and hang them on the city gate so that all the citizens will know what subversive things you have done."

The city lord of Muscat's gaze turned fierce: "Olav, enough nonsense. We'll only know who wins and who loses after the fight."

"You coward, you are no match for the King of the North."

“Even if we two city lords were to become the new kings of the North, it would absolutely not be your turn.”

Olaf scoffed, "The two of you aren't even as good as Eric, yet you want the throne? What a pipe dream!"

"Kill them!" Olaf waved his hand, and the Viking warriors behind him shouted and charged forward.

The lords of Muscat and Oslo quickly ordered their troops to advance: "Kill them and seize the palace."

At that moment, Olaf, who was behind the Viking warriors, suddenly leaped high into the air and landed in front of the two city lords in their horrified gazes.

Olaf brandished his double axes and said disdainfully, "You two, don't you want to become the new kings of the North?"

"I'll give you a chance. If you can defeat me, I'll hand over the palace to you."

The two city lords exchanged a glance. They were now in a difficult situation and had no choice but to press on, even if they weren't confident.
