Chapter 139 Visitors from Poor Countries

"Boom boom boom."

The door rang.

To the two Aztecs, this was like the sound of death knocking at the door.

However, just as the two Aztecs were mentally prepared and opened the door tremblingly, they found that several Holy Egyptian soldiers had brought some food.

There was steaming bread, pancakes and two glasses of milk, and the aroma of food filled the air.

The two were stunned, they had never seen anything like it.

However, they can immediately smell that it is food through their sense of smell.

One of them spoke cautiously, his eyes wide as bells: "Sir, this? Is this for us?"

However, the Holy Egyptian soldier did not answer, but simply placed the food on the table and then turned and left.

For them, this was just a very ordinary task.

After the door was closed, the two men were the only ones left in the room again.

The two Aztecs stared blankly at the food on the table.

The crust of the bread was golden and crispy, and the pancake was still steaming.

As for the aroma of milk, it is even more mouth-watering.

However, the two Aztecs were filled with doubts.

"Could these things be poisoned?"

The other man stared at the food and swallowed, "Even if it's poisoned, it's better than being bitten to death by that monster!"

"I would rather be poisoned to death than see that monster again!"

After he said that, he closed his eyes, made up his mind to die, and as if he was fighting to the death, he tore off a large piece of bread and stuffed it into his mouth.

However, after he chewed a few times, his eyes suddenly widened and an expression of disbelief appeared on his face.

"This?! What's that smell?!"

He exclaimed, then grabbed another pancake and took a bite, his eyes widening immediately.

“This smells so good!”

“It’s delicious, so delicious!”

As he spoke, he picked up the milk and took another sip.

In an instant, the taste on the tip of his tongue swirled like a tornado, rushing straight into his innate sense.

His expression was so exaggerated that he almost rolled his eyes, and he kept muttering, "It's so delicious... so delicious..."

The man opposite him thought he had been poisoned at first and turned pale with fear.

Just when he was panicking and at a loss, he found that he continued to grab food and eat.

"You?"

Seeing this scene, he couldn't bear it any longer. He rushed to the table and tore off a piece of bread and stuffed it into his mouth.

"Oh my god! What is this? Why is the outer shell so thin and crispy, but the inside is so soft?!"

He exclaimed as he ate, then grabbed a piece of pancake and took a bite, and immediately burst into tears.

"This, this tastes better than raw venison and red berries!"

“Wooooooooooooooooooooooo!”

The two men were like refugees from a famine, wolfing down their food with their eyes wide open and tears streaming down their faces.

They just stuffed the fragrant food into their mouths, and if they choked, they drank a big gulp of milk.

This does not make them feel any discomfort, but makes their brains feel more pleasant.

At the same time, after observing how they ate, the soldiers of Holy Egypt took away the clothes they had taken off.

The soldier carefully checked the contents of the robe and counted the valuables inside.

The soldiers counted and found only dozens of copper coins in their robes, nothing else of value.

Kamul watched from the side and took what the soldier handed over.

"It is true."

Kamul looked at the copper coin in his hand and nodded slowly: "I followed them for many days and found that they were reluctant to buy even a piece of bread. They just ate the dry food they brought with them."

"Now it seems that they really don't have much money."

The soldier who had followed the two Aztecs during these days looked puzzled: "Prime Minister, do you see anything from this?"

Kamul looked up and sneered: "If the people sent by the Aztecs to investigate are so poor, it only shows that the Aztecs themselves are a poor kingdom."

"The reason why they dare to take risks when no one else is doing business with Holy Egypt is probably because they are in urgent need of financial resources."

Another soldier suddenly understood and nodded vigorously: "No wonder they are so interested in Holy Egypt!"

"Our Holy Egypt market is simply a huge piece of fat meat for them!"

Kamul put away the copper coin and smiled slightly: "Yes, fortunately, His Majesty the Holy Pharaoh knew that these two guys were hiding in the city a long time ago, otherwise, the situation in Holy Egypt would be even more critical."

"If we can make good use of the Aztecs, it will be a great opportunity for us in Holy Egypt."

"You watch here. I will go and report to His Majesty the Holy Pharaoh."

After he finished speaking, he turned and left, heading towards the palace.

In the room, the two foreigners had already cleared all the food on the table.

They slumped in their chairs, their faces filled with satisfaction and emotion.

One of them said, with a hint of emotion in his voice: "I have never eaten anything so delicious in my life!"

“I didn’t expect the food in Holy Egypt to be so delicious!”

The other nodded, tears still welling up in his eyes: "Yes, these fragrant things, and that glass of white water."

"Our Aztec food can't even compare to the food here."

The two were silent for a moment, and their fear of Saint Egypt was greatly reduced.
