When Linke and the God of the Desert and the Nile arrived at the palace, it was silent, with only the echoing sound of their footsteps accompanying them.
There was no one around, so the God of the Desert and the Nile stopped and called softly, "Brother."
Lin Ke also stopped and turned around, looking at the familiar yet unfamiliar figure. Although her tone was indifferent, her eyes were much gentler: "The moment you showed up, I felt it, it was you, Ramses."
Ramses nodded and whispered, "Yes, I felt it too, brother. I know that it was you who gave me the divine power."
Lin Ke nodded. The person in front of him was no longer the simple brother who had never experienced the world, but a god who knew everything.
"There is just one thing I don't understand. Although I have ascended to become a god, I still cannot sense the souls of my father and mother in the underworld."
Lin Ke's eyes moved slightly and he was silent for a moment.
In his opinion, if Ramses could feel it, then the previous pharaohs should have been able to establish communication with the ancient gods long ago.
Therefore, it is normal not to feel it, because that is the reason why Egypt lost contact with God and the country gradually declined.
"We will discuss these matters in detail later. Right now, the crisis in the capital has not been resolved, so we must prioritize stabilizing the situation."
The two continued to move forward, and as they walked through the corridor, Lin Ke's thoughts did not stop for a moment.
Ramses, [Stonehenge]......
He understood that Ramses became a god by building Stonehenge, and this was not an accidental success but a pattern.
The [Wonders] in the civilization panel seem to have some special power that can summon souls from the underworld to the human world.
Anyone who can carry this kind of power is likely to be closely related to the Pharaoh's bloodline.
Of course, not all [Wonders] can be like this, only some [Wonders] have such an effect.
Apart from this, the fact that Ramses was the god of the desert and the Nile could not be known to outsiders.
Once other countries learned that Egypt had the power to turn mummies into gods, Egypt would become the target of all enemies.
After all, the only times lions are non-threatening are when they are sick or newborn.
Lin Ke stopped and turned to look at Ramses.
"From now on, your true identity must be concealed. Whether in front of the people or the courtiers, we will address you as 'Your Majesty the Pharaoh' and 'God of the Desert and the Nile'."
Ramses immediately understood Lin Ke's intention: "I understand, elder brother. Although you are still a flesh and blood body, your wisdom and vision surpass those of gods."
Hearing this, Lin Ke paused slightly as he was about to take a step, raised his hand and coughed.
Then, he looked up at the roof of the hall and said calmly, "This... This is just the responsibility I should have as the eldest brother."
He turned around and continued walking forward, but subconsciously reached out to adjust his Pharaoh's crown, as if he was afraid that it was not worn straight.
Ramses, who was standing by, saw this and twitched his lips slightly, but he didn't say anything and just followed silently.
Several footsteps were heard from a distance, and the ministers began to arrive one after another.
Lin Ke gathered his thoughts and walked into the meeting hall of the palace. Ramses followed closely behind him with a solemn expression, as if he had the majestic posture of a god.
Inside the palace, golden lamps were arranged neatly, and the bright flames reflected on the floor inlaid with turquoise and lapis lazuli, while the ceiling was painted with a map of the Nile River basin.
The Pharaoh's throne is located in the center of the hall. It is carved from a whole piece of white marble. The armrests are inlaid with lion head patterns, and behind it is a statue of a sacred eagle with spread wings.
Lin Ke sat firmly on the throne, holding the crooked staff that symbolized royal power. The shining Ulaeus serpent pattern on the Pharaoh's crown seemed to be watching everyone who stepped into this place.
As for the God of the Desert and the Nile, he was standing beside Lin Ke, with golden light flowing around him, so majestic that people dared not look directly at him.
Nan Tong led the ministers who had not yet taken their seats to enter.
"Your Majesty the Great Pharaoh, the revered God of the Desert and the Nile!"
Prime Minister Kamul was also in place. He was wearing a traditional white robe, but he kept his head down and never dared to look up.
The sergeant behind him was wearing armor stained with sand from the battle, his expression was both pious and reverent.
The ministers carefully stood in two rows and knelt down to salute. Their neat movements showed their absolute respect for the Pharaoh and the gods.
Lin Ke looked around. He was sitting on the throne on the high platform. Although he did not say a word, his invisible majesty was so overwhelming that everyone dared not breathe.
The God of the Desert and the Nile stood quietly beside Lin Ke without any unnecessary movements, but the pressure from such a powerful force made the ministers dare not even raise their heads.
"Your Majesty the Pharaoh." Kamul finally spoke, his voice trembling slightly, but he still tried to keep it steady, "Nantong has informed me of the situation in the capital."
Lin Ke nodded, his eyes fixed on the old prime minister.
He knew that Kamul's reserve was not out of cowardice, but because he was facing both the new pharaoh and a real god at the same time.
For a prime minister who was used to dealing with mortal affairs, such a situation was undoubtedly unfamiliar and difficult to adapt to. What's more, when he left the city, Lin Ke was not the Pharaoh, but the eldest prince.
"How many troops did you bring back from the outer city?" Lin Ke asked in a steady tone.
"Your Majesty," Kamul replied with his head down, "Three hundred cavalrymen."
After hearing this, Lin Ke nodded slightly. Three hundred cavalrymen, this number is not many.
But he knew that other cities had already fallen, and enemy troops were everywhere outside the royal capital. Being able to mobilize 300 cavalrymen to aid the royal capital under such circumstances was enough to prove Kamul's extraordinary ability.
