Chapter 15 Cairo! A new chapter!

"Your Majesty Pharaoh, I learned on the way that the Hebrews are fighting with three other nations, and their more powerful emissaries are rushing to other fronts to provide support."

"From what I understand, the Hebrew army is facing strong resistance from the Amazons. They will probably concentrate their forces and more gods to attack those enemies who are closer first. Therefore, the capital is safe for the time being."

He paused for a moment and added, "Looking at the entire country, only the capital has not yet been occupied."

"But for the Hebrews, all they have to do is surround our capital and force us into a food shortage."

"So, although we can temporarily avoid armed conflict, we must take immediate measures to ensure sufficient food and supplies."

As soon as Kamul finished speaking, other ministers began to express their opinions.

"Your Majesty the Pharaoh, the food reserves in the royal capital are currently enough to support us for a month, but if the enemy intends to carry out a long-term siege, our situation will become very dangerous." An official in charge of logistics said solemnly.

"That's right," another minister took over. "Although the enemy has temporarily retreated, their threat will not disappear. We must immediately send people to patrol the surrounding villages and collect more food and fodder. At the same time, we must strengthen the fortifications of the city walls to prevent them from suddenly coming back."

"In addition," an elderly official stepped forward, his tone full of worry, "we need to regroup the laborers and repair the damaged canals. This is not only related to the transportation of food and fodder, but also directly affects the daily life of the entire capital."

"But our current military strength is limited. If we have to disperse our forces to repair canals or transport food and fodder, will it weaken the city's defenses?" A young minister interrupted, with some worry in his eyes.

The discussion among the ministers became increasingly heated, with different opinions.

Some people proposed to immediately concentrate their forces to consolidate the defense, some believed that priority should be given to ensuring the supply of food and fodder, and some advocated dispatching soldiers to escort the food and fodder teams to avoid being ambushed by the enemy.

"My lords! Please be quiet for a moment." Kamul said in a deep voice, raising his hand to stop the ministers from arguing.

He took a step forward slowly and bowed his head respectfully, not daring to look directly at Linke on the throne and the God of the Desert and the Nile beside him.

"Your Majesty," Kamul said solemnly and humbly, "These are all important issues, but how to choose is still up to your Majesty to decide. We will all follow your instructions."

The hall suddenly became silent, and everyone was waiting for Lin Ke's response.

After pondering for a moment, Lin Ke raised his head, slowly stood up, and tapped the ground lightly with his crank.

"Everyone is right, these are all very important." He said, his voice steady.

"But more importantly, the Hebrews thought that we would be in dire straits because of this!"

When he said this, his tone slightly raised and he glanced at everyone in the hall: "In the past, we kept giving in because we lost the protection of the gods, bringing shame to the name of Egypt."

"However, today, the capital is able to bathe in the glory of the gods. This is not only a symbol of victory, but also a brand new beginning!"

He stood up and tapped the ground with his crank again, and the crisp sound echoed in the hall.

"So, we will start from the vicinity of the royal capital and take back all the lost territories piece by piece!"

The people below were surprised and happy when they heard this, and tears welled up in their eyes.

"Because today, it symbolizes that the Egyptians have stood up from now on and no longer have to endure the trampling and insults of foreign enemies!"

"Therefore, I declare that from this day forward, the capital will be named 'Cairo'!"

“The name ‘Cairo’ symbolizes glory and revival! From here, Egypt’s glory will rise again. We will use Cairo as a starting point to expand our territory and reshape our empire!”

Lin Ke's words were like a sharp sword that cut through the heavy atmosphere, and the ministers were gradually ignited. They looked at Lin Ke with eyes full of trust and awe.

Immediately, loud shouts broke out in the hall: "Long live His Majesty the Pharaoh! Long live Cairo! Long live Egypt!"
