Chapter 26 Attack? Or Defend?

Lin Ke's gaze shifted away from [Master Heka] on the civilization panel and turned to another part.

On the panel, the [Builder] project is already halfway through and will be completed in another day.

However, when his eyes slid to the progress bar of [Bronze Casting Technique], his brows furrowed slightly.

Compared to the [Builder] which is about to be completed, the research progress of [Bronze Casting] seems particularly slow.

The time required for completion is eight days.

Lin Ke pondered for a moment and tapped his fingers on the armrest of the throne a few times.

He knew very well that the development of Holy Egypt could not stop for a moment.

The completion of [Bronze Casting] not only means the ability to unlock more advanced military camps and weapons, but also ensures that Holy Egypt will not be at a disadvantage when confronting the Hebrews.

However, there is only one way to reduce the research time of [Bronze Casting].

Find the Barbarians!

That is to say, kill the barbarian units to trigger the boost conditions!

The [Scouts] were still scouting the route for the [Masters Heka].

[Scout] traveled through the wilderness and finally arrived at the ruins of a city ravaged by war.

The ruins of a city were covered with Hebrew flags.

Those strange emblems were telling everyone who could see them that this place had been completely occupied by the Hebrews.

Lin Ke, on the other hand, took in all of this through the civilization panel.

This city was once a frontier fortress of Atlantis, but now it has been turned into a heavily guarded outpost by the Hebrew army.

Lin Ke could see that the patrol of Hebrew soldiers was in good order, and even a few chariots were slowly crossing the gravel road at the city gate. The sound of heavy axles was faintly transmitted to Lin Ke's ears through the civilization panel.

Lin Ke frowned.

If Master Heka and the team of Atlantis messengers rashly approached the city from this route, they would surely be ambushed.

The enemy's reinforcements will arrive soon, so we must choose another route.

He decisively set a new route on the civilization panel, avoiding the occupied city while trying to circumvent the surrounding large-scale enemy defense areas.

After confirming that the escort route was safe, Lin Ke turned his attention back to the [Scout].

After completing the mission, the Scout's field of vision has marked down the surrounding enemy deployments one by one.

As long as they follow this route, the [Heka Masters] can avoid the most dangerous sections of the road.

Safe!

There were no more occupied areas or Hebrew armies in the path of the [Masters of Heka].

Some scattered patrols may encounter the [Masters of Heka], but they are no match for them at all.

Even if they were discovered by the Hebrews, everything would be settled by the time their reinforcements arrived.

After making sure that the messenger of Atlantis could return safely, Lin Ke immediately gave the [Scout] new instructions.

Lin Ke also needs to use the [Scout] to find the barbarians in order to reduce the research time of [Bronze Casting Technique] as soon as possible.

The [Scout] quickly turned around and headed back towards Cairo.

At this time, a guard walked into the hall quickly, holding a halberd in both hands, and knelt on one knee to salute: "Your Majesty the Holy Pharaoh, Prime Minister Kamul has important military information to report to you."

Lin Ke's attention left the civilization panel and fell on the guard. He said in a steady tone: "Where is Kamul now?"

"He's already waiting outside the hall." The guard responded in a low voice, with sweat slightly on his forehead.

Lin Ke stood up slightly and nodded gently: "Very good, bring him in."

The guard immediately stood up, straightened his armor, and replied respectfully: "Yes, Your Majesty the Holy Pharaoh!" Then he turned and left.

There was a sound of hurried footsteps coming from outside the hall door, and the sound was getting closer and closer to Lin Ke.

Lin Ke sat back on the throne quietly, straightened his chest, took a deep breath, and waited for Kamul to arrive.

Kamul walked into the main hall and Lin Ke was already waiting upstairs.

He held a secret letter in his hand, his expression was calm, but his eyes were filled with solemnity.

"Great, respected Holy Pharaoh."

Lin Ke simply raised his hand and motioned for him to stand up.

"Prime Minister Kamul, you are in a hurry to see me. Could it be that the Hebrews are taking action again?" Lin Ke asked straight to the point.

"Your Majesty the Holy Pharaoh is wise," Kamul bowed slightly and presented the secret letter, "The Hebrews have begun to besiege the city."

siege.

Lin Ke had thought before that the Hebrews might use this strategy.

"They deployed defense lines at several important nodes around the city, trying to cut off our supply lines and trap us to death in the city."

Lin Ke took the secret letter, lowered his head and quickly glanced at it, frowning slightly.

"On the surface, their defenses are tight, but my insider has reported that some of the Hebrew elite troops have been transferred to the Atlantis and Amazon fronts."

"This also shows that the remaining forces they have around us may not be enough to complete a full siege."

After hearing what Kamul said, Lin Ke put down the letter and said, "If that's the case, how could the enemy have enough troops to surround us?"

"According to insiders," Kamul continued calmly, "the Hebrews have won over some small countries and barbarian tribes around us. These forces are currently sending reinforcements to assist the Hebrews in guarding the key points around us."

"So, even if the elite troops withdraw, they still have enough means to blockade us."

Lin Ke looked indifferent when he heard this, but his index finger tapped the armrest of the throne a few times.

Kamul stopped not far below Lin Ke and clasped his hands.

"Your Majesty, the Holy Pharaoh, in my opinion, the enemy has dispatched its elite troops to retreat to the Atlantis and Amazon fronts, and the remaining troops are no longer sufficient to complete the blockade of the entire front."

Lin Ke did not answer immediately, but changed the route of the [Scout] in the civilization panel.

After a moment, he asked Kamul: "If it were you, how would you respond next?"

"I suggest two strategies," Kamul bowed slightly, "First, we take the initiative to attack and disrupt the enemy's deployment when their troops are insufficient."

"Second, we must stabilize our position and continue to strengthen the city's defenses. At the same time, we must expand food purchases through secret channels to ensure that Holy Egypt can hold out for a longer period of time."

Lin Ke stared at Kamul: "Pass on my order, all troops are on standby."

"Your Majesty the Holy Pharaoh is wise!" Kamul responded without hesitation, "As long as we break their battle line, these enemies besieging the city will naturally be nothing to worry about."

After Kamul left, Lin Ke continued to check the civilization panel.

He checked the plots of land near Holy Egypt and quickly locked onto several key areas.

If what Kamul said is correct, the barbarians must be in one of these areas.

"You have selected [Scout]. Action: Change route."
