The scorching sun burned the boundless desert, and the yellow sand rolled in the hot wind.
The remnants of the Amazon tribe struggled forward across the sand dunes, their armor stained with blood and dust.
Some of their sweat had already evaporated, leaving only white crystals close to their skin.
Their eyes were red and swollen from dryness and sand, and every time they blinked they felt a stabbing pain.
Their skin had turned red due to prolonged exposure to the sun, and some parts had even begun to peel off, revealing the blood-red tender flesh underneath.
Some people could no longer stand and could only rely on their companions for support, with their arms resting on their shoulders and their fingers hanging down weakly.
Some people had lost consciousness and were dragged on the sand.
And in the middle of the team, there were many female warriors who were missing limbs. They were almost half dead and were dying.
It is obvious that these female warriors living in the rainforest cannot adapt to the scorching and hot climate of the desert.
However, there was one person who was still full of energy, her eyes as sharp as a hawk, scanning the horizon ahead.
“Malasia, can we really cross this desert?”
A young female warrior gasped and asked another female warrior at the front of the team.
Her voice was hoarse, her lips were cracked, and her eyes only gleamed slightly when she looked at Malacia.
The female warrior at the front turned around. There was a deep scabbed scar on her face, extending from her brow to her jaw.
She held a strong axe in her left hand and a long golden whip in her right hand.
Marasia, she is the most powerful warrior of Amazon and also the leader of the tribe.
She looked back at the team behind her.
There were hundreds of female warriors, each one was covered in wounds, and some were even on the verge of death.
Her eyes scanned their faces.
"We can. We definitely can."
"The Hebrews burned our homeland, but as long as we have breath, we will be able to take it back one day."
"But... the Manu Jungle is gone too," another warrior whispered, with barely suppressed grief in her voice, "Our temples, our sacred forests, were all devoured by the fire."
“Those cruel Hebrews, they wouldn’t leave even a tree!”
Malacia's fists were clenched tightly around the axe, her knuckles turning white from the strain.
The terrible memories resurfaced in her mind.
The goddess of hunting fell to the ground, and the moment the sacred forest caught fire, their only god completely disappeared from this world.
At least, that's how it seemed to Marasia.
“The Hebrews thought that by burning our jungle they would destroy our will, but they were wrong!”
"Amazon warriors never rely on the land to survive. Our strength comes from our blood and our beliefs."
"As long as we live, the Amazon bloodline will not be cut off, and the Amazon race will never die."
"My fellow tribesmen, don't stop. We are carrying the hope for the future of our tribe!"
A low voice of agreement came from the team, the female warriors straightened their backs, and the despair in their eyes was gradually replaced by determination.
"Malasia, how did you get us out?"
A young soldier couldn't help asking, her eyes full of admiration, "The Hebrew army came like a tide, I thought we would all die there."
Malacia's eyes flickered slightly, and her thoughts seemed to be lost in that tragic battle again.
Although her voice was calm, her body couldn't help but begin to tremble.
"The Hebrews were indeed outnumbered but they underestimated our determination."
"I found the weak point in their encirclement and led you through the fire and broke out from the flank."
"Their commander was so arrogant that he thought we were all killed in the fire."
"Unfortunately, they don't understand Amazon warriors."
"If it weren't for you, we would have been wiped out long ago." Another warrior whispered, her voice full of gratitude.
"You single-handedly stopped their cavalry charge and bought us time. We all saw you kill more than a dozen Hebrew knights by yourself."
Malacia shook her head, and her clenched fists loosened slightly.
“That’s not just my credit.”
"Every Amazon tribe member has sacrificed their lives and blood to gain this opportunity to break through."
"Although we have lost our homes, we are still alive. As long as we are alive, there is hope."
The team fell into a brief silence, with only the wind and sand whistling in their ears.
"The tribe leader lost his home and his mother, but he still leads us and always walks at the forefront."
"Everyone keep up, don't fall behind!"
Everyone continued to grit their teeth and move forward.
After a while, an older warrior asked, "Marasia, do you really think the Mayans will accept us?"
"Although they are allies with us, they are still so far away from us. Will they really offend the Hebrews again for our sake?"
Malacia's eyes were calm, and her voice contained almost no hesitation.
"The Mayans are not Hebrews. They respect the ancient covenant and understand the principle of losing one's teeth when one is gone."
“What’s more, they and the Hebrews are still in a hostile relationship.”
"As long as we reach their territory, they will definitely help us. And..." Her voice paused slightly, and a sharp light flashed in her eyes.
"We are Amazon warriors, not refugees or weaklings. We are not only strong, but also wise. The Mayans are naturally aware of our value."
The team continued to march under the scorching sun, and the female soldiers seemed to be in a more relaxed mood.
Their eyes refocused on the front and their steps became stronger.
"Malasia," a warrior suddenly spoke.
"When we get to Maya, will you become their general? I heard their king loves talented warriors the most."
Malacia was indifferent when she heard this and shook her head.
"My duty is to protect you and the bloodline of the Amazon. As for the rest, we'll talk about it when we get to Maya."
Her gaze turned into the distance again, and a green outline was vaguely visible at the end of the yellow sand.
oasis.
"Hold on, there is an oasis ahead!"
"Ah! Will there be any water there? We are all dying of thirst."
Marasia took a few steps forward, turned around and raised the axe: "I'll go over and take a look. Maybe we're almost out of the desert."
Malacia walked forward and entered the oasis.
She saw a small puddle on the ground.
"Great! It's water. I'll take some to the seriously injured tribesmen first."
Marasia took the canteen from her belt and dropped it into the pond.
At this time, she found that the oasis around her was disappearing, and her water bottle was filled with sand.
She raised her head and saw a wizard in a white robe standing there.
