Chapter 317 Death of Vishnu

"How is that possible!" Vishnu looked at Su Yan, who was standing steadily and unharmed, with astonishment on his face. He couldn't help but feel a surge of horror in his heart. He had originally thought that his attack would be enough to shatter the opponent, but what he saw was completely beyond his expectations.

At this moment, Vishnu's expression instantly grew extremely solemn, realizing that he might have underestimated the legendary Goblin God. Meanwhile, Su Yan, standing below, slowly raised his head, gazing coldly at Vishnu above him, his lips curled up slightly in a disdainful smile.

"Oh? So you are the famous Vishnu!" Su Yan said calmly. His voice was not loud, but it was clearly heard by Vishnu. Then, he suddenly changed the subject and asked, "But...where is your wife?"

These words resonated like thunder from a clear sky. Upon hearing this, Vishnu's brow furrowed, his eyes gleaming with anger. As the Supreme God, when had he ever been subjected to such blatant provocation and insult? And especially in front of so many other gods!

"You fool! How dare you be so disrespectful to this god? Today I will destroy you!" Vishnu roared, and the divine light on his body suddenly trembled violently, as if it would burst out at any moment and completely submerge Su Yan. The powerful divine power spread out in all directions like a tidal wave, distorting the surrounding space.

Yet, Su Yan stood steady, his handsome face expressionless, his deep eyes serenely contemplating the ferocious attack cascading down from the sky. This, after all, was Vishnu's ultimate move, its power enough to shake the heavens and earth, but to Su Yan, this seemingly ferocious attack was like a pebble against a rock, an act of overestimating his own strength. He effortlessly swung his sword, and in an instant, a flash of cold light flashed, as dazzling as lightning streaking across the night sky. In that fleeting moment, the once-powerful killing move shattered and dissipated like a fragile bubble, without even a ripple.

Su Yan's lips curled up slightly, a playful smile playing out, and he sighed softly: "Alas!" His words revealed a hint of helplessness and disappointment, "I thought this so-called ultimate move would be so powerful! I didn't expect it to be just this good after all..." He shook his head, his eyes full of disdain, as if he was not satisfied with the previous confrontation at all. He thought to himself: "It seems that this time I am still greatly disappointed!"

Vishnu frowned slightly, secretly startled. He keenly sensed that Su Yan's strength was far beyond his original understanding. No matter how fierce and brutal his moves were, they were like a stone sinking into the sea, completely ineffective against Su Yan.

After realizing that the situation was not good, Vishnu made a quick decision - to retreat for the time being and quickly look for help from Brahma to come to his rescue. However, what he never expected was that Su Yan seemed to have seen through his intentions long ago, so how could he let him go so easily?

Su Yan muttered something to himself as he brandished the mysterious Ten Directions Sword. In an instant, the sky and earth shifted, and an unparalleled force erupted. As Su Yan moved, the surrounding space seemed to twist and fold, creating a dizzying sensation.

Then, in the next second, Vishnu, who was fleeing at full speed, felt his eyes blur. When he came to his senses, he found himself in front of Su Yan without knowing when. Vishnu's face changed drastically, and cold sweat dripped down his forehead. He couldn't believe his eyes. You know, just now he had tried his best to escape Su Yan's pursuit!

Meanwhile, Su Yan calmly gazed at Vishnu, who was so close at hand. A faint sneer crossed his lips. "Don't waste your energy. Today is your death!" Without hesitation, Su Yan raised the Ten Directions Sword in his hand and slashed at Vishnu fiercely. Wherever the sword flashed, the void shattered. A terrifying sword energy roared and swept over, as if to rip the entire world in two...

Vishnu's eyes widened, his face filled with horror as he watched the sword shadow hurtle towards him like lightning. He tried his best to dodge, but found himself with nowhere to escape! The surrounding space seemed to be blocked by Su Yan's sword energy. No matter how he fled, the deadly sword tip would always appear in front of him in the next second, following him closely like a thorn in his flesh.

Vishnu felt as if he were tied to Su Yan, unable to break free from this terrifying bondage no matter how hard he struggled. This feeling of powerlessness filled him with despair and anger, and also with immense depression. However, at this moment, he had no time to care about these emotions, as Su Yan's attacks were coming in wave after wave. If he didn't come up with a countermeasure quickly, he might really die.

At this critical moment, Vishnu suddenly had an idea—to summon the power of the people! He clasped his hands together, muttered something, and a mysterious light emanated from him, rushing towards the crowd below. In an instant, countless believers felt Vishnu's call and offered up the power of their faith.

A full one-third of these believers had their vitality forcibly extracted, serving as a shield for Vishnu against Su Yan's attacks. With this powerful infusion of energy, Vishnu was finally able to temporarily withstand Su Yan's fierce attack and successfully escape.

Su Yan's heart sank when he saw Vishnu had somehow escaped his sword. He looked closely and realized that the one he had just killed was just a substitute for Vishnu! The real Vishnu had long since disappeared...
