secret
“It’s not safe here.” Sorea didn’t lose her mind because of Greedy Blood Eye’s words. She tied Greedy Blood Eye back to the red thread and let it float behind her to find a relatively safe place.
Sorea knew all too well that there was no truly safe place in this world. The flowers, trees, and shrubs were the eyes of the forest god Verdren; the migration of animals was the monitoring of the continent by the fertility goddess Floria; the sunlight belonged to the blacksmith god Suthesius; and the wind and water would tell everything to the hurricane and the sea god.
If she were to communicate with the greedy, blood-eyed god about anything concerning God here, it would immediately be known to several true gods.
After much thought, Solaya realized that only that place could be kept from being monitored. So Solaya put the greedy blood-red eye, which was howling "woo, woo, woo...", back into the storage scroll and headed towards the Osenia Palace.
“Brother, Father God wants me to stay in her divine kingdom for a while,” Sorea said, standing in front of Dagmore’s busy desk.
In order to pick up Solaya, Dagmore had accumulated a lot of official business. In addition, he felt that Solaya had been encountering danger too frequently recently, and that only living in the Father God's Kingdom could ensure Solaya's absolute safety. He directly stated that he already knew.
Sorea then asked Jack to send a message to his great-grandfather, Karal, instructing Karal to tell Talmaven that he would be recuperating at the Osenia Palace for some time.
After doing all this, Sorea began preparing the things she needed to go out.
“What do you want to do?” Veldrian’s voice appeared directly in Sorea’s consciousness.
Sorea was startled and stopped what she was doing. When she realized it was Veldrian's voice, she frowned and continued packing her luggage.
After waiting a while, Veldrian finally realized that he was being completely ignored, so he couldn't help but continue to transmit his voice into Soraya's consciousness, softening his tone: "Aya, please pay attention to me, okay? Please take me and my son with you."
"Why should I?"
Veldrian thought for a moment: "I can protect you."
Sorea finally stopped what she was doing and looked at the flowerpot next to her: "Actually, you still don't know why I abandoned you and our son."
“I know, it’s because Alov said that the person I’ve always wanted to marry is her, and that she was going to lead the Elven race to assassinate me. I’ve already punished her and all the elves involved, but her father died for me and for the Elven race, so I can’t kill her. But I promise she’ll never appear in front of us again,” Veldrian explained urgently to Solaya.
Sorea continued to stare at Him without uttering a word.
Veldrian was on the verge of collapse under Sorea's cold, stranger-like gaze, and could only desperately continue speaking:
"What Alovin did was just a trigger. I'm the one who's wrong. I shouldn't have ignored you. I know I was wrong."
Solya left Veldrian not because she felt neglected by Him or misunderstood by the elves. After all, Veldrian had been corrupted by the deepest darkness while trying to save her mother, which forced him to sleep to prevent his fall.
Logically speaking, Solaya was the one who harmed Veldrian. Even her father didn't dare to go to the deepest part of the Underworld to find her mother. However, Veldrian didn't wait for Solaya to come forward and went to find Chrona without telling anyone. In the end, he almost didn't make it back.
Sorea sighed, “Velderion, the reason I left you is that you only wanted to protect me under your wing. You only knew how to protect me, but you never treated me as an equal to you. You are a noble god, while I am just a god who has lost even my original divine power. In your eyes, I can only be protected by you.”
Verdryen was about to say something when Solaya interrupted him: "I never wanted you to go looking for your mother. You thought I wanted you to go, or that I would be happy for you to go looking for your mother, so you went. You never discuss anything with me, and you never want me to worry about anything."
“Velderien, I don’t want to live like this anymore. I may not be as strong as you, but at home my mother tells me everything I know, but you don’t. I am the child of the sea god and the god of fate. I don’t need you to take care of me like a child.”
Sorea poured out all her sadness, resentment, and anger over the years to Veldrian.
From the moment she first saw Veldrian, she fell in love with this god who would thank the servants in the divine kingdom. Sorea still cannot say that she does not love Him. Veldrian knows everything she likes and dislikes, takes care of her personally, does everything for her, and even almost fell into depravity in his search for her mother.
But she has her own life. She can see this magnificent world on her own, instead of being trapped in her husband's cage of protection. What she has always wanted is equality.
"Verdrien, if I continue to live a muddled life, I will never be your equal." Soleria calmed down and said her last words to Verdrien that night.
Veldrian fell silent. For the first time, he examined his past actions and realized that most of the things he had done in the name of Solaya's well-being were unnecessary to her.
"Sorea, I understand what you mean. I will change. Please give me some time. I'm going back now. Here, take this. I'll wait for you to come find me. I won't come to you without your permission again."
Veldrian gave Solaya a wooden whistle and left with the sleeping child.
Sorea sat there for a long time, and finally threaded the wooden whistle onto a rope and hung it around her neck.
Sorea intended to leave quietly as she had done last time, but she did not expect that a flying monster with horns on its head would appear under her feet just as she was jumping out of the window.
She instinctively reached out to make a move, but then realized that the monster looked increasingly familiar.
“Blake, you’re so old now, keep your voice down and lead me north.”
Black is the dragon egg that Soraya brought back from the Dragonspine Forest. After recognizing Soraya as its master, it was fed many treasures by Kellis, so much so that it quickly grew to a size where it could carry people and fly.
Even though Black was far from adulthood, it was still a true member of the dragon race. With its help, Soraya's journey, which was expected to take half a month, was completed in seven days.
The scenery here is strange. On the land, there is a huge black pillar that stretches endlessly from top to bottom. There is no sunlight, no rain, and no life, as if something has been erased out of thin air.
Sorea stood on Black's back, gazing up at the massive pillar before her from the sky, large tears streaming down her face.
This is the former divine kingdom of the Goddess of Fate, and also the only place Soraya could think of to avoid the eyes and ears of all the gods.
This was also the first time Sorea had returned here since her mother's disappearance. She wiped away her tears, told Blake to stop there, and entered the black pillar alone.
The reason Solaya didn't let Blake follow was because she wasn't entirely sure it was safe here either, but she had a vague feeling that it was safe, and ever since she left the Emerald Sea, she felt that something was calling to her.
Sorea had always been afraid to face this place, but everything she encountered only made her desire to come here stronger.
Soraya thought the inside of the black pillar would also be an endless expanse of black, but she never expected it to be white. Moreover, the inside of the black pillar was not cylindrical. Entering it, Soraya felt as if she had arrived in another world.
"This is also your goal, or rather, your goal! To force me into this place." Sorea entered the black pillar and released the Greedy Blood Eye.
Greedy Blood Eye surveyed the area with satisfaction, then looked at Sorea: "There's nothing here, so we can have a proper chat now."
Sorea nodded, signaling Greedy Blood Eye to speak.
Greedy Blood Eyes was already impatiently waiting to speak: "Before we talk about Chrona, can you tell me what an evil god and a good god are?"
“The righteous gods descend to save humanity, while the evil gods corrupt the world.” Soraya blurted out, feeling as if the greedy Blood Eye was toying with her.
Greedy Blood Eyes saw the distrust in Solaya's eyes: "I'm asking you, why is an evil god an evil god, and why isn't a righteous god an evil god?"
Sorea was speechless. It seemed she had never considered this question before, as if some force prevented her from thinking about it in detail.
"Because the so-called righteous gods are just the strongest who fought their way out of the evil gods. The reason why humans and other creatures are corrupted by the ravings of the evil gods is that the outside world can only accommodate the power of five gods. The so-called evil gods we are talking about are just banished by this world."
The words spoken by the Greedy Blood Eye were something Sorea had never known before. She felt her mental sea tremble, and she was certain that she had fallen into the trap of this evil eye. Thinking this, she said it aloud.
"That's because this world doesn't allow anything other than gods to know about this. All non-gods who know about this will instantly vanish," Greedy Blood Eyes 'kindly' explained to Soraya.
Sorea was skeptical of His words: "I know now and I'm fine, aren't I?"
Greedy Blood Eyes laughed dismissively upon hearing Soraya's words: "What do you think this place is? This is the pure white world created by your mother, the strongest among the gods, with all her divine power! Otherwise, I wouldn't dare tell you these things."
"Where is my mother? Is she alright?" Sorea's attention was immediately focused entirely on her mother.
"Hahahaha." Greedy Blood Eye suddenly laughed, speaking in a strange tone, "Of course He is good! He is now the king of our evil gods, the master of darkness!"
