The beast tide has ended.

The beast tide has ended.

When Soraya learned about the Polluted Bead, she was thinking about how to tell others. But one thought popped into her mind: she must not tell anyone about the Polluted Bead, or she would die.

She completely erased the thought of telling others from her mind before the gaze fixed on her disappeared.

"I didn't expect the world's consciousness to target me so quickly. It must be because I've been through too much lately," Sorea thought as she continued searching for the corpses parasitized by the pollution bead.

Finding living dead monsters in the damaged Monster Forest was originally a very difficult task, but now, after several rounds of beast tides, the number of monsters in the Monster Forest has decreased significantly. Soraya only saw some monsters when she reached the deepest part of the forest.

When monsters reach level thirteen, they can speak human language and have human thoughts. This is an extremely long process. Every five hundred years, the beast tide not only severely damages the monsters in the Monster Forest but also the humans. Therefore, no level thirteen monsters appear in the Monster Forest, which reduces the pressure on humans in the face of the beast tide.

One after another, monsters of different kinds and ages lay beside the lake deep in the forest.

The monsters with bloodshot eyes lay quietly, regardless of whether they were above or below their prey, but the madness in their red eyes suggested that they might pounce and deliver a fatal blow at any moment.

"Found it." Soraya jumped onto a tree branch and carefully crouched down, searching the herd of beasts with her eyes until she spotted one coiled on the back of a rock bear, half of its body already a skeletal snake.

Sorea could tell at a glance that the half-ossified snake was the parasite of the Pollution Bead!

Now her problem is how to get through so many monsters to retrieve the contaminated bead from the parasite.

"Tsk tsk tsk, so many monsters, what can you do? If you ask me, we should go see Chrona first." Greedy Blood Eye, who had recovered a little, leaned on Sorea's shoulder and urged.

Sorea didn't even bother to glance at him, carefully considering how to get closer.

Concealing herself and going there? Sorea shook her head and gave up on this method. It was obviously impossible. Even though her invisibility rune was very powerful, there was nowhere for her to put her feet down here. Touching the monster would render the invisibility rune ineffective.

She then considered swimming across. She quickly abandoned this idea; with so many monsters on both sides of the lake, who knew how many aquatic monsters were actually in the lake itself?

Sorea racked his brains for a long time but couldn't find a foolproof way to take the half-bone snake away.

Black, the little dragon's name suddenly popped into Sorea's mind.

With the speed of a dragon and the ability to resist the contamination of the beads, Black might be the key to solving the problem at hand.

After Sorea came up with a plan, she had the Greedy Blood Eye keep an eye on the half-bone snake while she went to find Black, who had been abandoned at her residence.

To reach your residence at the Bounty Hunters Guild, you must first pass through the front lines stationed in the Monster Forest.

Just as Sorea had expected, no one noticed that she had ever left.

Although the official explanation was that Soraya needed to rest to avoid sustaining any hidden injuries due to excessive energy expenditure, and that the number of wounded soldiers sent to her should be reduced now that there were enough manpower available, she knew that Kelley and the others already knew that Jane was her when she learned that no wounded soldiers had been sent over today.

Sorea hesitated for a long time in Dagmore and Kellis's tent. Looking at her right hand, which she still couldn't use, she decided not to meet them, and only left a note outside the tent saying that she had found the Pollution Bead.

After doing all this, Sorea quickly went to find Blake.

"Aren't we going to keep her here?" After Soraya left, Kelly and Dagmore came out, and Kelly picked up the note Soraya had left behind.

Dagmore looked in the direction Soraya had left and sighed, "It's her choice, let her go."

How could he remain indifferent to his sister facing danger? Dagmore knew that this was the path Sorea had chosen herself. As the eldest brother, even if he didn't know exactly what his sister was going to do, he hoped that his sister could get what she wanted.

"We can't, no one can stop her from being free."

Solaya, focused on finding Blake, was unaware of the conversation between Dagmore and Kelly. She soon found Blake fast asleep in a corner of the room.

"Blake, wake up." It wasn't very ethical to wake Blake from his sleep, but the situation was serious, so Sorea nudged him.

"Your Highness, is there anything I can help you with?" As Blake opened his eyes, a childish voice rang in Sorea's mind. Because she had just woken up, the voice still carried a hint of drowsiness.

Sorea told Blake her thoughts and the problems she would face, and finally earnestly asked him for his help: "Blake, this is my personal request. I know this is dangerous, and it's a human matter that has little to do with you. You can refuse me."

After listening attentively to these words, Blake nuzzled Solia with his head: "Don't underestimate our dragon race. No monster can rival us. In the most glorious days of our dragon race, even the gods had to temporarily give way to our might!"

But you are just a child!

“But you want me to agree,” Blake replied.

Sorea fell silent. She had come to Blake because she knew he would agree to her request.

She always said that others didn't give her the right to choose, and everyone said it was for her own good and hoped she would do it. But in the end, she became that kind of person herself.

While taking Black deep into the Monster Forest, Sorea kept thinking about whether there were other ways.

"You're finally back! I was so bored." A greedy voice interrupted Solaya's thoughts. "The dragon is here. Tell it to bring the snake over."

"I'm going right now!" Blake shouted in the language of dragons, an English language that humans couldn't understand but gods could.

Sorea caught Blake the moment it flew away: "You don't need to go. This is a human matter, I should go."

"Are you crazy? With your current strength, you're no match for those monsters. All those left here are demigod-level monsters." Greedy Blood Eye shouted at Soraya in disbelief.

Blake's anxious voice also entered Solaya's mind, "Let me go, I'm not afraid of those monsters."

“You’re not afraid, but you’ll get hurt.” Sorea held tightly to Blake’s wings. “You’re still a child. You’re risking my life. Let me handle this human matter!”

She threw Blake backward and charged forward herself.

Soraya did not cast an invisibility rune on herself; all the runes about hiding were useless against the dense horde of monsters.

But she wasn't unprepared. Solaya used the divine power left in her by Veldrian to awaken the life force in the plants. A strong green vine wrapped around Solaya's waist, allowing her to swing into the monster horde.

Sorea planned to use the momentum of the vines to propel herself in front of the half-bone snake, and then use her whip to coil the snake around.

This was the only solution Sorea could come up with, and she only had one chance.

If she fails even once, she will be torn apart by the monster that has been driven mad.

Sorea's right hand was completely unusable, so she could only use her left hand to pick up the whip of the God of Fate that she had obtained at the auction house.

She hoped that the artifact from the god of fate would bring her good luck.

The vines tossed Solia high into the air, and as she ran, they continued to grow rapidly. Just as she was about to hit the ground, the vines successfully delivered her to the half-bone serpent.

The half-bone snake was caught off guard by the sudden appearance of a person and was stunned for a few seconds. In those few seconds, Sorea used her whip to coil it up.

Just as she was about to command the vines to pull her back, the veiled half-bone snake came to its senses and let out a huge hissing sound. At that moment, the other monsters began to writhe wildly.

Even the toughest vines are still just vines; they snapped under the monster's frenzied tearing.

Sorea knew something was wrong when she saw the rioting monster. When the pulling force from the vines around her waist disappeared, she felt her body suddenly sink downwards.

Below her were monsters with open mouths and sharp teeth!

Even so, Sorea did not let go of the half-bone snake in her hand. She knew that what she held was the key to stopping this beast tide. She could be in danger herself, but she had to destroy the pollution bead no matter what.

Just as Soraya was about to fall into the monster's mouth, the immense roar of the dragon, carrying the oppressive power of an ancient dragon, caused the bloodshot-eyed monster to stop in its tracks.

In that instant of stillness, Blake's small body appeared beneath Soraya's body, suddenly growing larger to catch her as she was about to hit the ground.

"Blake, thank you." Solaya, who had escaped danger, placed the half-bone snake on Blake's body and plunged a dagger into its body.

The half-bone snake, however, remained completely unaffected and felt no pain whatsoever. It continued to make noises, and the monsters on the ground grew increasingly frantic in response to the snake's increasingly rapid calls.

Many bird monsters even ignored Blake's imposing aura and rushed towards them.

The oppressive aura emanating from an immature dragon has very little effect on demigod-level monsters.

Sorea knew that the only way to deal with the half-bone serpent was to throw out the pollution bead, but that was something she couldn't do, as her right hand was completely immobile!

Left with no other choice, she had to lower Blake a little, drawing defensive inscriptions to stop the attacks of other monsters while having vines bind the half-bone snake in the air.

The half-bone snake struggled desperately, and with monsters constantly attacking from the side, Soraya's movements were extremely difficult.

When the Contamination Bead left the body of the half-bone snake, the snake's body turned completely to ash.

After Sorea took out the Pollution Bead and put it into a sealed box, which was then placed into her storage scroll, all the attacks from the monsters stopped.

The entire forest fell silent.
