The silver bullet pierced the fat man's head, but its momentum didn't wane; it continued to shatter the fish tank glass and silently fall into the water.
The fat man fell heavily to the ground, like a small mountain, his brains and blood mixed together and flowing everywhere.
On the fish tank, starting from the bullet hole, deep cracks gradually spread out. The glass made a cracking sound as it couldn't withstand the pressure, and eventually it couldn't hold on for long, shattering into pieces on the floor.
The water gushed out instantly, washing away the bloodstains on the ground. Xiao Cheng stood dumbfounded in the empty fish tank, watching as someone carrying a gun burst through the door…
Fahai.
Xiao Cheng: "..." So why the hell are you here, sir?!
However, upon closer inspection, she realized something was amiss. This old man was most likely not the real Fahai; at most, he just looked like him. After all, the real Fahai wouldn't have a snake coiled around his neck.
It was still a half-dead white snake.
Xiao Cheng: "..." So, didn't you go to see Grandpa, big sister?!
The old man seemed oblivious to her presence, instead pointing righteously at the princess and shouting angrily, "You witch! Stop your sorcery! Turn my granddaughter back!"
The princess maintained her haughty head, looking at him sternly: "I don't know what you're talking about. Guards?! Throw this rude country bumpkin out!"
"Don't know?" The old man snorted coldly, picked up the gun barrel without saying another word, and pulled the trigger sharply.
The gleaming silver bullet headed straight for the princess's brow, but it was blocked by a bluish-purple paste that fell from the sky.
The bullet seemed to sink into a quagmire instantly and was corroded at a visible speed, eventually leaving only a small, shapeless lump of scrap metal that clattered to the ground.
The mass began to slowly shrink, worm-like, and moved onto the princess's left shoulder, spreading out quietly and sticking to her skin.
If the half-severed finger wrapped inside wasn't exposed, it would appear even more harmless.
The princess ignored him, looking down at the old man with undisguised contempt on her face: "That's it? Do you intend to threaten me with this?"
“This is not a threat, it is a declaration of war.” The old man straightened his back ramrod straight. “I formally declare war on the demon you worship!”
"You arrogant old geezer, how dare you disrespect the priest! I'd like to see if you have more bullets or more men!" The princess was completely enraged. The lump on her shoulder suddenly jumped high into the air, disintegrated into countless fine threads, and then quickly disappeared into the bodies of the group of nobles.
A thin, blood-red phantom line extended from each person's head, crisscrossing and eventually converging at the other end in the princess's hand, wrapping around her slender, pale fingers.
Then, at her command, her hands flicked through the air, almost leaving afterimages. The nobles, manipulated, screamed and pounced on the old man.
Seeing the scene becoming chaotic, Xiao Cheng seized the opportunity, quietly moved the fish tank away from the battlefield, and swiftly ran towards the nearest player, number five.
Fortunately, the dungeon wasn't so outrageous as to completely replicate the original setting, so at least she didn't have to experience the feeling of walking on a knife's edge again.
Otherwise, it's really over.
While silently complaining, Xiao Cheng tried to put player number five down.
But there was nothing they could do; the nail pierced through flesh and bone, then drove deep into the wooden frame, the tip emerging from the other side of the wood.
Number Five's face was deathly pale, his breathing was extremely weak, his consciousness was hazy, and even his pupils were somewhat dilated.
Xiao Cheng didn't dare to touch him rashly, but when she turned to look at the others, she realized that his situation was already the most optimistic.
"Go...go..." Number Five whispered weakly, "The end..."
The rest of his words were completely inaudible, leaving only a series of meaningless groans of pain. Xiao Cheng tried hard to decipher his lip movements, when suddenly she felt a chill run down her back. She instinctively dodged to the side and delivered a spinning kick.
There was a muffled thud.
The tall, thin man was kicked away and landed heavily on the ground. Due to inertia, he slid a long distance on the smooth surface, knocking down several of the powerful figures who were attacking the old man.
The old man was almost out of bullets and was under attack from both sides. Xiao Cheng's kick eased the pressure slightly, and he hurriedly turned his head to look.
He expressed his gratitude briefly at first, then his gaze suddenly froze, and a strange expression of fury appeared on one side of his face. Then, in a voice completely different from before, he shouted: "Demon!"
Xiao Cheng's pupils were practically trembling.
What the hell are you doing with this "one body, two souls" concept?!
A broken bowl floated out of the old man's body, suddenly swelled up, and attacked Xiao Cheng with lightning speed. A dazzling golden light burst out from the bowl, enveloping her completely.
A burning sensation instantly spread throughout her body, and the immense suction pulled her into the swollen bowl.
Xiao Cheng felt like she was being roasted dry, and her exposed skin began to crack rapidly. At the critical moment, she suddenly heard an ancient and long strange chant in her ears, and a strange power slowly emanated from her body.
This power rapidly healed her crumbling body while simultaneously resisting the pull of the golden light.
Immediately afterwards, a small bluish-purple paste-like substance shot out, stuck to the bowl with a splat, paused for a few seconds, and then began to grow rapidly, quickly covering it completely.
As the paste continued to wriggle and tighten, the bowl began to shrink uncontrollably, and deeper and longer cracks extended from the originally damaged areas. The golden light became increasingly dim and eventually vanished completely.
The princess, enraged, laughed coldly, retracted the clump of paste, and crushed the bowl to pieces with two snaps: "Who gave you the audacity to touch my collection?"
The half of Fahai's face emitted a painful roar. The old man, distracted, missed his shot and slapped him without hesitation.
The effect was immediate.
The roar abruptly stopped, and the half of his face immediately returned to normal. The old man rubbed his rapidly swollen face vigorously, snorted coldly, and pointed the gun at the princess again.
She managed to survive in an unexpected way, but before Xiao Cheng could even breathe a sigh of relief, the power within her body was completely exhausted and vanished abruptly.
What followed was intense pain that swept across almost her entire body, as if tens of thousands of needles were pricking her. Even a simple blink was torture for her at that moment.
The chanting in her ears gradually went off-key, turning into an extremely mournful sob that pierced her eardrums in waves.
"You fucking...you're waiting for me here..."
Xiao Cheng silently cursed a couple of times, her legs involuntarily began to weaken, and she collapsed to the ground, the moment she hit the ground, the pain made her vision go black again.
Blood slowly seeped from beneath her skin, starting at her fingertips. Her body grew increasingly ethereal, and the fragments that disintegrated rose upwards like bubbles.
I'm going to die...
This is really going to kill me...
As death approached, all the sounds and movements gradually receded into the distance, everyone's actions were slowed down infinitely, then became increasingly blurry, and finally, everything was plunged into darkness.
