Chapter 204 Godhood Customization (13)

Fang He clenched his right hand, which had been pierced, and the dull pain became increasingly intense, with a burning sensation spreading outwards.

"Please show me your chips, sir." The waiter, having removed all the shackles, took a half step back and repeated the question expressionlessly.

Fang He sighed helplessly and spread out his empty hands: "As you expected, I have no bargaining chips. I admit it, I am the heretic you are looking for."

In the audience, Xiao Cheng's heart skipped a beat, but before she could do anything, she saw Fang He give her a hasty glance.

Although it's unclear what he's planning to do, the current situation should still be under his control.

Xiao Cheng breathed a slight sigh of relief and remained calmly seated.

A soft chuckle came from beside her: "You're more composed than I expected."

Xiao Cheng did not respond, and the man did not care about these details, continuing to say, "You can rest assured that not having chips and cheating to obtain chips are two different things. Even heretics are divided into different levels."

So what exactly are you trying to say?

Xiao Cheng's sudden words startled the man slightly. He looked thoughtfully at the golden chips she was playing with in her hand.

“This is not my intention. Although it may be presumptuous, for the sake of this thousand chips... He wants to see you.”

Him? Who is he?

The first image that came to Xiao Cheng's mind was that of a woman with a light blue fishtail.

So it wasn't a hallucination caused by the singing?

"And your answer? I don't know why, but He seems to respect your opinion. If you refuse, it's okay, after all..."

"Why refuse?" Xiao Cheng stared straight at the stage. "Such a generous person, I really look forward to meeting him."

Under the somber gaze of the two monkeys, the waiter led Fang He toward the elevator.

As the elevator doors closed, everything seemed to return to normal, and cheerful music started playing again, only to be shut off again after a few dozen seconds.

The two monkeys silently packed up their throwing knives, then walked to the center of the stage and bowed deeply to the audience.

"We regret to inform our distinguished guests that this is no longer a simple incident. Today's performance has come to an end. Please leave in an orderly manner. Compensation will be delivered by a representative later."

"On behalf of Miracle Theatre, I would like to state that the casino has violated the principles of our contract, and all subsequent performances will be suspended indefinitely until the dispute is resolved."

As soon as the words were spoken, a commotion erupted in the audience. The figures of the two monkeys gradually blurred, the heavy curtain closed, and the entire stage slowly vanished.

The surrounding environment began to distort, and Xiao Cheng heard faint sounds. These sounds, which were initially ethereal, gradually became clearer, as if the barriers of space had been broken.

"Big! Big! Big!"

"It's open! A leopard!"

A cacophony of sounds filled the air, thick with the decadent scent of alcohol, a mixture of perfume and sweat. All sorts of people huddled around the gambling table, their eyes bloodshot as they stared at the various chips being wagered.

Waiters in tuxedos came and went, their faces bearing a standardized smile, each carrying a tray with one hand, on which were stacks of wine glasses.

The man readily accepted two drinks, handing one to Xiao Cheng: "Want to try it? This is the casino's signature drink."

"No need, drinking can lead to trouble. The person I'm meeting next is probably very important."

The man was not surprised by Xiao Cheng's rejection. He held a glass of wine in each hand and sipped it in turn, savoring it for a long time before exclaiming, "You've already guessed who He is."

"Judging from your expression, you don't seem very interested in this place. Here's what we'll do: the golden chips are my personal property. Give them back to me, and I'll take you to see Him."

"You actually have a gambling addiction?" Xiao Cheng glanced at him thoughtfully, then shoved the gold chips back into his hand without any hesitation.

"You don't understand, you don't understand what a miracle is," the man said mysteriously, raising his hand to drink both glasses of wine without leaving a drop, then turning around and leading Xiao Cheng toward the elevator.

"Not on this floor?" Xiao Cheng asked, somewhat surprised.

"Of course not. Although we need Him to be here to oversee things, this is casino territory." The man shook his head and pressed the elevator's up button.

"Aren't the other floors part of the Miracle Casino?" Xiao Cheng keenly caught his unspoken meaning and continued to ask.

The man didn't answer, but just smiled mysteriously, stepped into the elevator, and pressed the buttons for the second and third floors at the same time.

The elevator doors closed, and the elevator began to ascend. After reaching the third floor, a piercing beeping sound suddenly rang out, and then it plummeted downwards.

But the downward trend quickly stopped, the elevator floor number slowly jumped, and finally stopped at the 2.5th floor.

The elevator doors quietly opened, revealing a half-closed wooden door with a fairytale-like feel.

The door panel is inlaid with pink pearls and seashells, and a faint light shines through the cracks in the door.

The man gently pushed the door open, revealing layers upon layers of gauze curtains, like rising mist, creating a hazy scene.

Hidden beneath these sheer curtains, a figure could be vaguely seen, leaning against a large rattan chair with their back to the elevator door.

"Boss, she's here," the man said.

After a long while, the figure on the rattan chair finally responded.

"Is she the only one?" A dreamy, ethereal voice came over, completely confirming her identity as the owner of the previous song.

“She’s the only one,” the man replied, gesturing for Xiao Cheng to walk in that direction.

A strange draft blew in, lifting all the gauze curtains. Xiao Cheng finally saw the room clearly; it was quite spacious, and the woman was facing the carved railing, leaning against it in a languid posture.

A huge, pale blue fish tail hung down naturally, but unlike before, it was free of any wounds, and its fine scales shimmered with a faint glow.

The man retreated back into the elevator and closed the elevator doors again.

The woman turned to look at Xiao Cheng as if she sensed something, and looked her up and down with a slightly puzzled expression.

"Something's not right." She frowned slightly. "I clearly sensed a connection with you, but why is it so faint?"

similar?

Xiao Cheng was slightly confused for a moment, then suddenly realized what she meant.

The only one that seems to be related to merfolk is... the Little Mermaid?

So, do dungeons still have inherited attributes?

This is actually a TV series?!

The woman used her fishtail to support herself as she stood up, her brows furrowing more and more as you looked at her: "So you gave up your merman identity? Because of what, the man who was with you?!"

Xiao Cheng: "..." Although, the plot has gone a bit off track, thank you.
