The woman looked at Xiao Cheng with a disappointed expression, but she didn't delve into the topic further and instead brought up the important matter.
"You should know where this place is."
Xiao Cheng: "..." To be honest, I don't think I know that much.
"Whatever your ultimate goal is, considering that you and I are somewhat of the same kind, I'm warning you not to even think about getting close to the eighty-first floor," the woman continued, seemingly oblivious to her surroundings.
"The eighty-first floor?" Xiao Cheng was slightly taken aback.
She remembered that the elevator could only go up to the 80th floor. If the so-called 81st floor was the key to passing the level, it seemed she would have to think of another way.
"Whether it's the Miracle Casino or the Miracle Theater, do you think the so-called miracle is just a simple name?"
The woman stopped abruptly, and Xiao Cheng, having waited for a while without hearing anything further, couldn't help but ask, "So there really are so-called...gods here?"
"God? Of course there is."
The woman gave a faint chuckle, twisted her fishtail slightly, and in the blink of an eye, she was back on the wicker chair. Then, she spoke again casually, "Even I am."
“And it’s not just me.” With a casual gesture, a stemmed glass filled with bright red wine gradually took shape in the air and landed steadily in her hand.
The ethereal singing began again, and another gust of wind blew by, stirring the layers of gauze curtains.
Everything before his eyes gradually became hazy. In the blink of an eye, Xiao Cheng saw crisscrossing bloodstains gradually appearing on the woman's beautiful fishtail.
These wounds range from new to old, with the most severe areas showing flesh turned inside out, even revealing the stark white bones beneath.
The woman casually swayed her fishtail, sipping the wine in her glass, her lips turning a vibrant red. Then, the red hue continued to spread across the left side of her face.
The skin and flesh rotted and peeled off at a visible rate, becoming increasingly horrifying.
Conversely, the right side of the woman's face was made even more radiant, and even seemed to possess a touch of divinity.
"See that?" She smiled and raised her glass to Xiao Cheng. "I'm a god like this. Don't make that face. It looks like you're pitying me. Relax a bit. After all, becoming a god requires a small price to pay."
Xiao Cheng was at a loss for words.
"You call this becoming a god?" She looked at the woman's absorbed state of enjoyment and found it utterly incomprehensible. "You call this a small price to pay?"
The woman didn't respond, silently sipping her drink. After a long while, she slowly said, "You should go out now."
As soon as she finished speaking, Xiao Cheng felt a tremendous repulsive force slamming into the slowly opening elevator doors.
The man who brought her up stood in the corner of the elevator, looking meek and oblivious to everything around him.
"Wait!" Xiao Cheng still wanted to struggle a bit more, after all, she still had a lot of questions that she hadn't had time to ask clearly.
But the woman clearly wasn't going to waste any more time on her.
The fluttering gauze curtains instantly turned into thick fog, completely obscuring everything inside the room.
The elevator doors closed quietly, and the man grabbed Xiao Cheng's wrist, saying indifferently, "It's been a long time. You don't have that much time."
Immediately afterwards, the floor number began to jump rapidly, eventually taking Xiao Cheng to the first floor.
Before she could react, the man reached out and shoved her hard from behind.
"Goodbye." His tone sounded quite cheerful.
Xiao Cheng was caught off guard and stumbled. Before she could regain her balance, two lobster-like figures, one red and one blue, appeared in front of her and announced in a solemn tone, "Esteemed guest, we regret to inform you that your time has come."
So much had happened in quick succession that Xiao Cheng looked at them, completely bewildered, and asked, "Time? What time?"
"Of course it's the time for the tickets. You're not pretending to be stupid, are you?" the red lobster man retorted unhappily.
As if to further prove his point, the blue lobster man pulled out a stack of bills, flipped through them to almost the end, then pulled out a bill and shook it forcefully in front of Xiao Cheng.
"Seven gold coins can only buy a seven-hour trial voucher. This is only because you are a new customer; otherwise, it would be considered a violation of regulations."
Xiao Cheng hadn't expected to find this place waiting for her. She thought the other two were just really not smart, but it turns out they had dug such a big pit for her.
"What about extending the ticket? You can always choose to extend the ticket, right?"
It's not time to leave yet. Fang He's situation is unknown, and she plans to find an opportunity to sneak over and check on him.
The two lobster-men looked at the two red chips in her hand, exchanged a glance, and then shook their heads with remarkable impartiality.
"I regret to inform you that, of course not, sir."
"Tickets can only be sold within the specified time, even for extended periods; otherwise, it is considered a violation."
"You probably don't want to know the consequences of violating regulations."
"No, don't you guys have any flexibility in doing business?" Xiao Cheng tried to persuade them. "When it comes to selling tickets, what's the big deal about timing, location, and people? Anyway, there's no limit on the number of people allowed in here, so what's wrong with extending the time?"
“You’re right, but no, sir,” the red lobster man retorted earnestly.
"Of course, if you are worried about these two hundred chips, you can choose to deposit them. That way, you can continue to use them when you come back next time. We will even only charge you a 10% deposit fee."
Xiao Cheng: "..." You swindler! Listen to yourself, is that even human language?!
