The boning knife fell to the ground and broke in two, while the bone shield that had already fallen to the ground remained intact.
Phil Gray felt a large amount of divine power flowing out of his body, but it was not completely depleted.
Activating a sacred object like the Scales of Destiny requires a great deal of divine power. Previously, when he was at the Blessing level, he was completely unable to support it. Now that he has reached the Attention level, he can barely use it.
This sudden change in the scene startled everyone.
The man in the black robe was still shaken; his face was still pale. He had truly believed he was about to meet a god after what had just happened.
The cook, now without his boning knife, was like a tiger with its teeth pulled. He went berserk and pounced on Phil Gray, clearly seeing the white light emanating from the boy.
"You're asking for death, burn him!" Phil Gray ignited a raging fire in his hand, and the sun's flames, unique to the Cult of Dawn, formed a ring of fire, restricting Tang's movement.
He did not attack Tang directly because there were still many questions that had not been answered, and this level of fire might not be able to completely destroy the undead.
"Tang, what exactly happened on the Blacktooth Shark last year?" Phil Gray asked, looking at the undead before him.
"Hahaha, they all deserve to die, everyone deserves to die! Especially Jeremy! And those nobles who brought this upon themselves!"
Tang's voice was filled with resentment. He struggled to escape, but whenever he touched the flames, he would let out a shrill cry of pain, then cower in the circle, staring at them with hateful eyes.
"Did Jeremy use the Dream Flower to make you treat human flesh as ordinary food and even cook it into a delicacy for the passengers on the ship?" Phil Gray said, offering his speculation.
Before Tang could answer, he heard another voice.
"Yes, I did it. That idiot Tang thought I'd feed the remaining passengers to sharks after robbing so much treasure. What a waste! For so many years, we've been buying our ingredients from Qunwan Island. My pirate brothers provide me with cheap and plentiful food!"
Captain Jeremy's spirit appeared in the room, wearing a pirate hat, exactly like the portrait in the space.
The man in black robes held the bottle that imprisoned the dead in his hand. The bottle was open, presumably because he had just released Jeremy. He looked at Phil Gray with an awkward expression, but remained silent.
"Ha, this is truly inhumane. It's hard to imagine how the Goddess of the Sea could let someone like you become a favorite!" Viscount Ward glanced at Captain Jeremy with disdain.
"Why not! My goddess will protect me and help me sail the seas, hahaha!" Jeremy laughed wildly.
"How did the passengers on the Blacktooth Shark die? Are their spirits still on the ship?" Phil Gray continued to press.
"It's on the ship. There are many undead on the ship, but their souls are too weak to manifest. One of them, a girl named Daisy, told me the location of the captain's cabin." The man in black spoke first, seemingly more cooperative after Phil Gray had just saved him.
“Daisy! That bitch! If it weren’t for her, how could I have drowned in the sea? Where is she hiding? Where?” Tang was furious, and a ghostly blue flame ignited in his soul. He was not afraid of the scorching heat of the sun’s flames and directly broke through Phil Gray’s restrictions on him!
He was so devoted to her in his diary before, but now he's publicly insulting the girl he's secretly loved for so long. How ridiculous!
Although Don was misled by the captain and forced to drown, he shouldn't have harmed the innocent passengers on the Gold Coin III. Phil Gray looked at him coldly, no longer feeling any sympathy for his plight.
Viscount Ward raised his longsword and shouted, "War Shattered!"
The longsword thrust towards Tang. Tang was unarmed, but he still possessed the agility of a ghost. He dodged, but the longsword vibrated, and the red ripples it emitted still struck him.
"Ah!" Tang shouted, glaring angrily at the others present.
However, he did not continue to attack the other living people. When his gaze fell on Jeremy, who was also an undead floating to the side, he roared and pounced on Jeremy.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing! Didn't we all pay for your lives back then? Do you want to be annihilated along with me, even your souls?" Jeremy was so frightened that he turned into a cloud of black mist.
"If you hadn't been hiding in the captain's cabin and I hadn't been unable to get in, I would have killed you long ago!"
“You’re insane! We’re all dead! All grudges should be forgotten!” Jeremy’s shouts echoed throughout the room.
Tang's ferocious face was marred by a pair of terrifying red eyes. His body flickered in and out of existence, his hands burning with ghostly blue soul fire as he frantically tore at the black mist. Jeremy's painful screams could be heard.
Phil Gray and the others were unsure whether to stop them or let them kill each other.
However, neither of these two undead were good people, so he decided to observe them for a while before making a decision.
Viscount Ward crossed his arms and walked toward the man in black robes standing to the side. "You can hear the words of those undead passengers, but did they tell you how we get off this ship?"
The man in black remained silent, and just when they thought he would not answer, he slowly spoke, "I cannot hear their voices. I can only randomly form contracts with some undead around me and thus manipulate them."
When I first arrived on the ship, I made a pact with one of the ship's spirits. She said her name was Daisy, and she was very weak. She had forgotten what had happened on the ship, only remembering Jeremy running under the captain's desk.
So that's how it is. No wonder he was happy to stay here and even went to capture Jeremy. He probably wanted to get more undead to form contracts with him, thereby increasing his own power.
Phil Gray, watching Jeremy and Don still fighting, hesitated before speaking to the man in black, "Could you summon Miss Daisy?"
The man in black robes had icy eyes. "Why should I summon her?"
Sigh, why are they not cooperating again?
Phil Gray sighed, "When she sees Jeremy and Don, she'll definitely remember something."
The man in black robes glanced at him, snorted coldly, and produced a black cloth bag in his hand. He untied the strap, and the soul of a young girl appeared before everyone.
Golden braids, and a light blue dress.
Her soul was so weak that it was almost dissipating.
"What's wrong, Master?" Her eyes were vacant, and her voice was very soft.
"Ah!" Daisy screamed as her gaze fell upon Don, who looked like a cook, and kept repeating, "Don't kill me! Don't kill us! Brother! Save me!"
Upon hearing the sound, Don stopped fighting with Jeremy and turned to look in Daisy's direction.
