Chapter 74 Battle Nightmare

"Hmph, if it had been born any later, we might not have been able to deal with it, but now, it's just a god-level being that has been demoted. We can completely subdue it!" Glenn sneered, and golden light shone brightly in his hand. A shield condensed in front of everyone, stopping the monster's advance.

"It's a god demoted to a lower level, but as a combination of nightmare and undead, it has the characteristic of being immortal and indestructible. It can outlast you even if you try! How long can your divine power last? A day or a month? Or will you run away? Then let the monster go out and slaughter ordinary people, absorb more fear to grow stronger, hahaha!" Jesse laughed wickedly.

Eli chuckled and snapped his fingers. "Shut up! Your laugh is awful."

Jesse's mouth bulged instantly, and he painfully spat out a cactus mixed with saliva and blood.

The monster, not to be outdone, roared loudly, and each time it swung its claws, a corrosive black mist appeared.

"Life purification!"

With a wave of his hand, the Elder of Life released a rich fragrance that filled the air, and the black mist quickly dissipated.

Golden threads reappeared in Gran's hand, binding the monster and turning it into a dumpling.

"roar--"

The monster grew even angrier, black flames igniting in its eyes. It struggled to break free from the golden threads, letting out a furious roar of defiance!

Ge Lan coughed and continued to channel his divine power to maintain this state.

The Elder of Life wielded his staff and swung it at the monster, unleashing a barrage of green orbs that struck it. However, the monster's strange markings acted like a black hole, absorbing all the attacks.

The situation reached a stalemate for a time.

“If we capture George, will this monster stop attacking us? Also, can we find a way to get them to reveal the monster’s weaknesses?” Phil Gray frowned as he looked at the rampaging George and the delusional Jesse and the followers of the Cult of Dreams lying on the ground.

“Try it and you’ll see!” Eli bypassed the monster and rushed to George.

"careful--"

Just as he was about to grab George by the collar, the monster broke through the golden thread and lunged at him, covered in blood. George took the opportunity to dodge.

"With my darling here, you still think you can catch me?" George sneered, his eyes as sinister as a venomous snake.

Eli cursed under his breath and nimbly dodged the monster. Glenn and the Elder of Life also stepped forward, but this time the golden threads did not wrap around the monster. Instead, they wrapped around George, dragging him to where Phil Gray and the others were.

"You, I warn you, if you lay a hand on me, my darling will devour you alive!" George's eyes widened in terror, yet he continued to utter threatening words.

The monsters tried to charge at them, but Gran raised his golden shield again, and the Elder of Life unleashed another skill.

A flash of green light appeared, and mushrooms began to sprout all over the monster's body. The monster felt incredibly itchy and, forgetting all about finding its master, started rolling around on the ground.

Phil Gray and the others were amazed. They were surprised that such a thing was possible. Thinking back to Eli's trick of making Jesse spit out cacti, they couldn't help but remember that they must never offend the Church of Life in the future.

"How's that? Your darling can't care about you right now." Phil Gray stepped on George's back. "Tell me, what's the monster's weakness?"

"I won't tell you!" George glared at them fiercely, then shouted at Jesse and the followers of the Cult of Dreams, "You two pieces of trash, save me!"

Jesse and the other were annoyed when George called them trash, but they were also bound by the golden thread and could only give him a helpless look.

“Eli, is making that cactus spit out your skill?” Phil Gray asked.

“Yes, this is what I gained after breaking through to the Observer level. Most of the chosen ones of the God of Life are not good at attacking, but I was lucky enough to get this skill—Blooming and Withering Flowers, which can make flowers grow anywhere within ten meters,” Eli explained.

"Can you make flowers grow on a person's heart?" Phil Gray smiled and glanced at George out of the corner of his eye.

George's heart skipped a beat when he heard this.

Eli smiled. "If they were chosen by the gods, protected by divine power, it might be a bit difficult for me to break through their hearts. But for George, an ordinary person, let alone his heart, I could put a rose in his brain!"

"Just imagine, how romantic, with the roses blooming and white brains..." Before Eli could finish speaking, George burst into tears.

She cried her heart out, her face turning pale with fright.

"I said, the monster's weakness is..."

"Shut up! Don't be fooled by them! They'll definitely deal with us after they've dealt with the monster!" The follower of the Dream Cult shouted hurriedly when he heard George mention the monster's weakness.

He wouldn't let the goddess's offspring die so young; it had just been born!

Phil Gray glanced at the two elders fighting the monster. Although they still had the upper hand, their divine power was being constantly depleted. If this continued, the monster would have a real chance to turn the tide.

"Is that so? You're going to listen to him? Want to experience what it's like to grow flowers? We might be outlived by the monsters, but before that, you'll die a painful death," Phil Gray threatened, his eyes icy.

Eli casually fiddled with his fingers, as if he was about to unleash his skill at any moment.

George quickly said, "I'll talk, I'll talk! Don't touch it! The monster's weakness is its heart in the middle of its abdomen. That's the most vulnerable spot. If you destroy its heart, the monster will be completely destroyed!"

Upon hearing this, Ge Lan transformed the golden thread into something as thick as a hemp rope. With a roar, divine power surged forth, dragging the monster to the ground and exposing its belly.

His face turned pale, clearly indicating that he had exhausted too much of his divine power.

The Elder of Life seized the opportunity, waving his staff. The green light transformed into sharp spikes that pierced the center of the monster's abdomen!

Fearing that the stab might not have hit the heart, he unleashed countless more spikes at incredible speed, all of which pierced the monster's belly.

"Roar! Roar roar roar!"

The monster howled in pain, and its body began to appear and disappear.

Jesse sighed and closed his eyes resignedly.

The follower of the Dream Cult seemed unable to accept the impending annihilation of the monster, his expression turning frenzied as he writhed on the ground, crying out, "No, we can't let it disappear! Goddess! Guardian of the Night Dreams! Ruler of Sleep and Delusion! Gatekeeper of Dreamland! Come and save your offspring! No, it is we who have harmed your offspring..."

He frantically kowtowed to the ground until he passed out, seemingly trying to see his god in the process.

The monster eventually disappeared, and the thick black and pink fog vanished completely, as if it had never existed, like a dream, leaving no trace.

The group finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Patrick chuckled and picked George up.

"Now, it's time to deal with your affairs, Your Majesty the future king? Hmm?"

George's pupils constricted.
