Having gained a basic understanding of the situation, Glenn looked at Phil Gray with even greater eagerness, his amiable smile carrying an undeniable air of authority. "Since the Prophet of the Day has chosen you, welcome to the Cult of Dawn. From now on, we are family."
“Well, Elder, why don’t we deal with George’s matter first, and then talk later?” Phil Gray looked at the Life Church elder who was silently lost in thought and smiled. “We can’t waste this Life Church elder’s time.”
“He’s free, but it’s definitely better to deal with it as soon as possible.” Glen nodded. “Where is the place you mentioned? Take us there, don’t worry.”
Rest assured, the two elders who had been demoted to godhood were simply overwhelming for George and his group.
The other members had already figured it out from their conversation.
Eli was momentarily stunned when he saw the elders of the Church of Life, but quickly regained his composure.
Do they know each other? But the elder didn't react. Phil Gray made a mental note of it.
The group headed towards the port when Ernest, who had been hiding nearby, ran over. "Boss, you've come at the right time. George has taken a boat to the river channel."
"good."
Glenn then looked Ernest up and down and asked, "A knight of the Church of Fate?"
Ernest paused for a moment, then looked at his boss.
“He used to be, but now he’s with me,” Phil Gray replied.
They stood on the riverbank.
Suddenly, an elder of the Church of Life produced a staff. With a gentle wave of the staff, a green path paved with grass appeared on the surface of the Lunsi River.
Phil Gray stepped on it as smoothly as walking on ordinary grass.
The elders of the Church of Life walked at the front, and the green road stretched forward with their steps.
In this world of ice and snow, a vibrant, verdant path running along the cool, clear river is a beautiful sight.
The group strolled leisurely, and Phil Gray told Ernest about some things that had happened while he was away.
Soon, the passageway floating in mid-air appeared before their eyes.
“This is it,” Vincent said.
This time George was smarter and placed two men guarding the main gate, but they were quickly killed.
Phil Gray only saw a golden thread flash by, and then only two corpses remained.
Pushing open the door and walking through the corridor, they could see what was inside.
Just as Vincent described.
Many female devotees lay in bed, smiling, lost in their dreams.
One of the women looked so familiar; it was the same woman he had spoken with the other day who had refused to leave Porto de la Lumpur.
When she said she wasn't an ordinary person that day, he guessed she was a chosen one of God, little did he know that George was looking for a chosen one of God.
He couldn't help but sigh.
They were facing George, who was sitting in a chair, holding a glass of red wine and sipping it with his eyes closed.
"How despicable! Humph!" An elder of the Church of Life was enraged by the scene. "If you hadn't discovered it, these women would have died after giving birth to monsters!"
“And if the monster successfully conceives, George will use it to take even more lives.” A cold glint flashed in Phil Gray’s eyes.
"Who goes there?" George asked, his expression turning panicked when he saw them enter.
But then his expression twisted in an instant, “Now that you’ve discovered my unborn child, die! Let your fear nourish my baby! Jesse!”
He looked at the people behind him, signaling them to deal with the intruders, but noticed panic on Jesse's face.
The man from the Dream God Cult also looked grim.
George was an ordinary person and naturally couldn't sense the immense divine power of the god's demotion, but seeing their reactions, he realized something was wrong.
“Hehehe, Jesse, we’re old friends, aren’t we? It seems you’re still the same old you. I still can’t understand why the Church of the Dead would accept someone like you as an elder.” Gran said, enunciating each word clearly, as a golden thread appeared in his hand and began to wrap around Jesse’s neck.
“The two gods have been demoted; we can’t defeat them,” the Dream Cult member said to George with a bitter expression.
Jesse reacted fairly quickly, managing to barely manage to fend off the golden threads with a black sword.
“We have no chance of winning at all, let the monsters come out ahead of time!” Jesse shouted ferociously.
"Okay, let my baby out quickly!" George became excited.
The members of the Dream Cult hesitated, asking, "How can the goddess's offspring be born prematurely?"
However, he saw the elders of the Church of Life approaching him. Although the people of Life were better at healing, he knew he couldn't hold out for long against the power of a god who had been demoted.
He made a snap decision and began to mutter in a strange rhythm, while Jesse on the other side began to chant in the same rhythm. In just a moment, pink and black mist filled the entire passage.
"Stop them!" Phil Gray shouted urgently.
I never imagined that this monster could be born ahead of schedule!
The two elders naturally understood that their attacks had become faster!
The green ball of light slammed into the Dream God Cult member, who collapsed to the ground, spitting out several mouthfuls of blood, but then burst into maniacal laughter, "We've succeeded! Goddess, we've successfully brought your offspring to the mortal realm!"
Jesse was also entangled in the golden threads and unable to move; his gaze, which had been cold, became one of fascination.
"The speed at which this monster is summoned is too fast!" Patrick exclaimed in surprise, almost in the blink of an eye.
The women who were lost in their dreams suddenly looked pained, their bellies bulging, and the pink and black mist so thick it almost solidified.
"Damn it!" The group was furious; these female chosen ones were surely going to die now.
Along with this came piercing sounds emanating from their stomachs. The sounds were incredibly strange, hypnotic yet accompanied by irregular howls, like drawing someone into a sweet dream only to be abruptly awakened.
Phil Gray felt somewhat uncomfortable.
Eli whispered, "Cover your ears!"
"ah!"
Numerous piercing screams rang out simultaneously, nearly collapsing the passageway and piercing people's eardrums.
With that scream, countless wisps of mist shot out from the women's abdomens, and the outline of a monster gradually took shape.
Gran and the elders of the Church of Life attempted to attack with divine power, especially Gran's golden divine power, which should be effective against this type of monster.
But that still couldn't stop the monster from taking shape. It became a physical entity, over three meters tall, with sharp teeth, fierce eyes, and strange patterns on its body. What a terrifying flesh and blood monster it was!
While it also looks equally chilling, it differs somewhat from what Phil Gray saw with his Eye of Fate, perhaps because it was born prematurely.
Patrick swallowed hard, his forehead covered in cold sweat from nervousness.
Ernest raised his sword and stood in front of the Pope.
A solemn expression appeared on the face of the Elder of Life.
"Hahaha, my darling, my dearest darling, kill them for me!" George laughed wildly, and the monster seemed to understand him, charging towards Phil Gray and the others!
