The blonde woman and the airport manager had nothing to say and could only stand aside, looking a bit of an eyesore.
Logically speaking, the airport manager is already considered an upper-class person in society, and he shouldn't be so restricted when facing ordinary government agencies.
However, the ones dispatched now are the FBI of the United States and the Australian military. Coupled with what happened a few days ago, the airport manager naturally feels afraid and dares not make any comments.
Confronting the army would definitely be a dead end. The airport manager was not stupid. He was just providing some help. It would be a good thing if he could save himself from a disaster.
"According to the list above, let's go."
At this point, Nick seemed to have already assigned the home addresses of the employees on the list. After giving instructions to a few agents, he said, "Let's go."
The agents filed out of the manager's office, accompanied by several heavily armed soldiers.
Nick looked up at the airport manager, smiled slightly, shook hands with him, and whispered, "Thank you, my friend. We should meet again. Don't be so nervous next time."
"It's my honor to provide the FBI with clues. I look forward to meeting you next time."
The airport manager shook Nick's hand, regaining some of his upper-class demeanor, and replied with a smile, "I believe our next time together will be as pleasant as today."
"I hope so."
Nick shrugged, turned and walked towards the gate. Several Australian officers followed him. The airport manager looked at Nick's back and fell into a long period of contemplation. Only after Nick's figure completely disappeared from his sight did the airport manager slowly reveal a strange smile.
His lover held the airport manager's hand with her breasts and said coquettishly, "Honey, who are these people and what are they doing here?"
The airport manager didn't answer, so the lover could only take a deep breath. Just as he was about to ask something else, he suddenly noticed that the airport manager's arms seemed to have a lot more hair than before.
......
"This is it."
Nick stood in front of a townhouse, rang the doorbell, and waited for the owner to open the door.
Australia has a vast land area and a sparse population, so land resources are not so scarce. Most people can afford to live in villas. The only difference between rich people and ordinary people in terms of living is the interior decoration, floor area and urban suburbs.
After waiting for about two minutes, no one opened the door. At the same time, a strange smell could be heard from the room, which naturally caught Nick's attention. He frowned and whispered to the officer beside him, "Mr. Lieutenant Colonel, do we have the right to search the house?"
The lieutenant colonel nodded and said, "Yes, the Prime Minister has instructed that as long as it is not a crime or a state secret, we have all the authority."
Hearing this, Nick said, "That's good. I think something is wrong here. Let's go in and take a look."
"Um."
The lieutenant colonel nodded and turned around. Several young and strong soldiers immediately stepped forward and banged on the door. In just a moment, they broke it open. Although the door was permanently damaged, they were able to enter the house.
The room was very quiet, almost eerily so. The furniture didn't seem to have moved, and the entire hall was spotless. However, the strange smell was growing stronger, making Nick feel that something was amiss. He immediately said, "Lieutenant Colonel, let's split up the search."
"good."
The lieutenant colonel nodded like a tool, then said to the soldiers, "Two people in a group, start searching each room. If anything goes wrong, fire a warning shot once. If that doesn't work, you can just shoot!"
The lieutenant colonel was not a pedantic person. The current situation was so urgent that it was very likely to involve evil supernatural creatures. The usual methods of dealing with civilians were obviously no longer effective.
"Yes, sir!"
The soldiers took action and began to search every room in the villa, while Nick and the lieutenant colonel were not idle either, pacing back and forth in the hall. Nick seemed to be very eager to find the source of the strange smell.
"Damn it, this smell is so bad, just like the smell of a sick country animal, damn it."
The lieutenant colonel covered his nose and complained, which reminded Nick. Nick immediately felt that there seemed to be a familiar smell in the smell. When he thought about it carefully, it was the smell emitted from the Minotaur who was killed in Texas yesterday.
Although they are not quite the same overall, the smell of the minotaur is extremely similar, which makes Nick feel that there are definitely minotaurs here.
"Sir, nothing has been discovered!"
"Nothing unusual on the second floor."
"Sir, some hair was found in the toilet."
The large search conducted by many soldiers did not yield any significant results. Only two soldiers found a few hairs in the sewer of the toilet that did not look like human hair, but seemed to belong to some animal.
After seeing these hairs, Nick became more certain that a minotaur had appeared here!
"It seems that minotaurs are not an isolated case. There seem to be many minotaurs in Australia."
Nick murmured, then suddenly thought of something and shouted, "Search the whole house immediately, for secret rooms, cellars, and the like!"
The United States is a vast country with a sparse population, so most homeowners choose to build a few secret rooms or cellars in their homes to store things.
This is an American habit, but this is Australia, and Nick doesn't know if the people here also have this habit. After all, the area here is much larger and the population is much sparser than that of the United States.
