Bi Qiaoan searched the storage area and found several folding beds. She moved them all to the planting area, unfolded them, and then moved the injured guards over and put them on the beds.
Qi Xili and Qi Lin watched in horror as the guards disappeared one by one, but then realized that the master of the space was controlling it, so they kept quiet and just watched silently.
Once everyone had disappeared, they felt a gentle force pulling them along. Without struggling, they were quickly moved to the side of the injured man.
Qi Xili turned to look at Qi Lin, wanting to ask him if he knew how they got here. But Qi Lin also looked blank, as if the map had changed in the blink of an eye.
Without delving any further, I simply surveyed my surroundings. It was a grassland, roughly an acre in size. A white barrier surrounded it, obscuring the outside and preventing any escape.
Since they were already there, the two decided to make the best of it and returned to the injured. Seeing that they were unaffected, they felt relieved.
Looking at the three empty folding beds, I smiled, thinking that I could finally get a good night's sleep.
Before I could even lie down, someone fell off the folding bed on the far right. It was a real fall, so hard it woke the person up.
"Ouch, what's going on? It hurts like hell!" Liang Huaxin shouted, opening his eyes to find that the environment had changed again.
The scenery here is nice, with lush green lawns that haven't been seen in a long time, but the dazzling array of goods is gone!
"Old Qi, what's going on? Why has it changed again?"
Qi Xili shook his head: "I don't know either, anyway, I opened my eyes and was right here."
"What happened to the food? It's all gone?"
Seeing Qi Xili remain silent, Liang Huaxin almost cried: "What are we going to do? Eat grass from now on? If I had known this would happen, I would have just eaten to my heart's content over there."
Qi Xili was speechless, never expecting Liang Huaxin to be so unreliable. Had he gone through a life-or-death experience and completely let loose?
"Don't worry, since they've helped us, we won't starve."
No sooner had he finished speaking than a stove and a pile of coal appeared out of thin air at his feet.
In addition, rice, noodles, vegetables, fruits, meat, and eggs also appeared.
Even more amazing was that a group of seven or eight-pound, brightly colored "clucking" calves strolled leisurely from behind the barrier. They weren't afraid of them at all; they glanced at them a couple of times and then lowered their heads to focus on grazing.
"See? They're making us cook for ourselves!"
Upon hearing this, Bi Qiaoan smiled and moved three large boxes of pure milk over.
The boxes were large but not tall; stacked up, they fit perfectly on the cutting board. They also provided a complete set of pots, pans, oil, salt, soy sauce, and vinegar. In short, they were sure they could survive for the time being; the rest could wait until Old Shen woke up.
Oh right, and medicine too, I almost forgot.
After finishing all that, Bi Qiaoan's attention returned to An'an: "I moved them to the grassland over there on the ranch, fenced off an area of about an acre, and let them roam freely. As for what to do next, we'll talk about it when your dad wakes up."
An'an was silent for a few seconds before asking, "Then they'll know that we can grow things in our space?"
"Even if they didn't know it could be used for planting, they already know it can be used for storage. What difference does a little more or less make? If we're not 100% sure they won't tell anyone, then these people will be stuck here for the rest of their lives."
Bi Qiaoan smiled, but her words were somewhat ruthless.
If those people dare to object, she can kill them right now, or throw them out of the space.
An An nodded, but didn't say anything.
"Alright, go and rest for a while. Your dad's fine here," Bi Qiaoan said with some concern, looking at the dark circles under An'an's eyes.
An'an shook her head, wanting to stay with her parents. Nuannuan was the same, refusing to leave no matter what. Even the goose was lying in its nest.
Bi Qiaoan smiled helplessly, used her consciousness to retrieve two tents from the storage area, and said, "Then let's stay here for two days."
An'an and Nuannuan were happy and cheerfully set up the tent. Then they lay down inside, but their little eyes were still fixed on this side.
Bi Qiaoan raised her hand and touched Shen Yanming's face, saying in an extremely gentle voice, "Look, your son and daughter are worried about you. How can you be unconscious? Don't you want to wake up quickly?"
Shen Yanming's eyelids twitched, but he still couldn't open them.
He was surrounded by flames when he heard Bi Qiaoan calling him. He tried to rush out, but failed. He felt his soul being burned; it hurt terribly, but he had to endure it. Thinking of the three people outside, his heart filled with sweet joy.
"Darling, wait a little longer, I'll be right there," Shen Yanming thought to himself, as he once again mustered his strength to fight against the flames.
Meanwhile, Liang Huaxin had taken a nap and was finally feeling less exhausted. He came over to help the Qi family father and son, only to find that several people were missing.
"Yanming, An'an, and Chou Dan, where are you?"
Qi Xili was stunned when he heard this.
He trusted Shen Yanming too much and never considered that someone might be missing. He quickly counted them and found that Chou Dan was indeed not there.
Qi Xili was stunned and didn't know how to tell Liang Huaxin.
"W-what happened? The three of them..." Liang Huaxin said in a panic, "Could they be... gone? No, I just saw An'an!"
"Yanming is seriously injured, An'an is fine, as for Chou Dan, he's probably... gone."
Liang Huaxin collapsed to the ground: "How could this be? How could it be gone? Stinky Egg's dad is still waiting for him at home. Ah, it's all my fault. If I hadn't been greedy, none of us would have gotten hurt. Stinky Egg wouldn't be dead, and none of us would be trapped here."
Liang Huaxin broke down in tears: "Wait, where's Yanming? He's seriously injured, why isn't he here?"
Qi Xili: "...Old Liang, can you use your brain for once?"
Liang Huaxin was so preoccupied with his breakdown that he failed to grasp the meaning behind Lao Qi's words.
After wiping away her tears a dozen minutes later, she made up her mind and said, "When I get back, I'll bring Stinky Egg's dad over and raise him as my own father."
Qi Xili rolled his eyes: "Let's talk about it when you can go back."
Time flew by, and a day and a night passed in the blink of an eye.
Nuannuan suddenly realized that she and her mother still had work to do at the base. It wouldn't be good to skip work so abruptly.
Just as I was about to speak, I noticed that Bi Qiaoan's body tensed up and her ears twitched.
She then screamed, "Ahhh! I forgot I had work to do!"
After saying that, he beckoned An'an over: "Hold your dad tight and don't let him sink."
An An nodded, and without taking off her clothes, jumped down. She took Shen Yanming from Bi Qiaoan's hands and felt his fingers twitch.
An'an exclaimed in surprise, "Mom, Dad's hand moved!"
Bi Qiaoan: "Your dad isn't a vegetable, of course he can sense things! Just stay here quietly, eat when you're hungry. If you need to use the restroom, well, just put your dad on the swimming ring and he can come up to take care of it. Although this lake has a self-cleaning function, we can't..."
"Hmm, you know what I mean."
An'an felt a long flock of crows flying overhead and wondered if he was such an unreliable person that his mother had to give him such instructions.
