The next morning, the group ate breakfast in the space before coming out.
The clothes and sheets I washed yesterday aren't dry yet, but they're almost dry. I took them out, folded them, and hung them on the balcony.
Shen Yanming looked around the house, touching this and that. Finally, he took out a jar of seeds from the corner of a cabinet.

"Handsome, don't you remember me? That first snow, I accidentally hit your car..." Yu Huiyu's voice trailed off, a blush creeping onto her cheeks.
Shen Yanming's face darkened upon hearing this. "So, what do you want to do?"
"I...I've fallen for you."
"Are you out of your mind? I have a wife and kids, why do I need you to come and fawn over me? You shouldn't have brought it up, because now I haven't even settled accounts with you yet. You hit my car back then, and it scared my wife half to death. My wife was pregnant with twins at the time, so tell me, how are you going to compensate me?"
"Do you have any food at home? A lot? No, I'm going to tell Officer Wen to kick you out. If you don't want to cause trouble, obediently go home and get me two hundred catties of grain, and I'll pretend I never saw you."

Yu Huiyu looked at Shen Yanming as if he were trash, then turned to leave.
Shen Yanming pretended to grab her: "Hey, don't run away! Didn't you come to compensate me? If you don't have two hundred pounds, one hundred pounds will do!"
Upon hearing this, Yu Huiyu ran even faster.
Once the person was out of sight, everyone burst out laughing.
Zhang Heping patted his buddy on the shoulder and said with a smile, "Old Shen, you're ruining your image."
Shen Yanming didn't care at all, and reached out to brush his hand away: "It doesn't matter, as long as she doesn't bother me."
"I'm afraid it'll be difficult. It was too sudden today; she didn't have time to react. Once she gets back and thinks about it, she'll realize you were playing her. It might even backfire," Li Sikai joked.
Shen Yanming raised an eyebrow: "Then we'll talk about it later." He was annoyed right now.
The group parted ways at the bottom of the office building. Zhang Heping and Ji Kangyong came here for the assessment, while Shen Yanming and Bi Qiaoan, along with Li Sikai and a few others, went directly to find Wen Mengguan.
Wen Mengguan was quite surprised to see the group. After learning that Li Sikai wanted to contact the capital, he made it easier for him.

Li Sikai thanked them and, after they left, made a phone call. Geng Zhixing and Sun Sainan were guarding the door.
Shen Yanming followed Wen Mengguan to the next room, briefly explained his experience, and then asked him about his position.

On the way home, the couple felt quite depressed. Once they got home, the discomfort intensified, making it difficult to breathe.

After everyone left, Bi Qiaoan asked the two children, "Is there anything you want to eat?" Although they had been able to eat their fill while they were away, the food supplies were limited. The days to come would still be a time when they couldn't reveal their secret.
The two kids were craving meat, so Bi Qiaoan got them braised pork over rice. They each ate a couple of bites and couldn't eat anymore. Afterwards, they drank a few sips of sparkling water and happily lay on the sofa, patting their little bellies.
At noon, Shen Yanming returned carrying a large bag of Chinese medicinal herbs, accompanied by Zhang Heping and Ji Kangyong. Li Zhaozhao, Li Wanwan, and Xu Yajing followed behind.
As expected, the two brothers passed the test; one joined the medical department, and the other joined the patrol team.
Li Zhaozhao and Li Wanwan are still in charge of planting Chinese medicinal herbs, while Xu Yajing continues to work in the traditional Chinese medicine department.
