Bonus Chapter: About the New Book

Mimir continued to persuade him: "Captain, think about it, is the symbol of a pirate ship really the ship? Isn't it the people? It is the people who steer the ship, not the ship that steers the people. As long as the spirit of the pirate crew exists, that's enough. Captain, the spirit of our pirate crew is you, so as long as you are there, the ship will exist, no matter which ship it is."

"That sounds familiar..."

Noah touched his bald head, his eyes suddenly widening as he exclaimed, "Oh! Dad said that it is people who control weapons, not weapons that control people. Hmm, you're right."

"Huh? You were convinced so easily?!"

Victoria looked at Noah in surprise. Not only her, but even Sia, who rarely spoke, looked surprised.

“Yes, that makes sense. Of course I’ll listen to what’s reasonable. Mimir’s reasoning is the same as my dad’s, so I think it’s right.” Noah nodded seriously.

"Who's your dad? He's so powerful!" Victoria asked curiously.

Convincing this bald guy is actually quite difficult. The four of them have been together for a while now, and while they wouldn't say they know Noah's habits inside and out, they can at least tell him what color his underwear is...

Because of his stubbornness, the three of them had to work together every time. Mimir was responsible for reasoning, Victoria was responsible for yelling, and Seaya was responsible for silencing Noah with delicious food before he would shut up a little.

But this time it happened very quickly.

Is his father really that philosophical?

Noah paused for a moment, then looked at everyone and said, "My dad is my dad."

"Who told you to say that!"

Victoria and Mimir shouted in unison, "Shouldn't you explain?!"

"Explain what? Oh... because my dad really makes a lot of sense. Even though he's just a farmer, I think everything he says makes a lot of sense. He often says that the principles of the world are universal. It's not that his words make sense, but that the principle is just expressed through his mouth."

"Did your dad tell you not to be a pirate?" Victoria couldn't help but ask.

"Yes, but my dad didn't give me a reason why I shouldn't be a pirate, so I didn't listen to him." Noah grinned.

“There’s no reason to become a pirate; it’s just a choice made by human will. But once you’ve made that choice, you have to pay the price,” Mimir said slowly.

"Huh? That sounds familiar, my dad said that too... Do you know my dad?" Noah looked at Mimir.

Mimir rolled his eyes. "That was said by the former head of the world government. There's a special collection of his quotes. Haven't you read it?"

"I haven't seen it."

"Really?" Victoria exclaimed in surprise. "Don't you read 'The Book of Justice'? That's something everyone has to read!"

"And what is that?" Noah asked, scratching his head.

“Let’s go down first, this position is good enough,” Mimir suddenly said.

Victoria loosened the silk thread in her hand, and the group descended from the sky, landing steadily among the buildings.

"Okay, now be careful to hide, and wait until..."

"You'll lure me away, then take the opportunity to go to the port to retrieve the ship, right?"

Before Mimir could finish speaking, a faint voice sounded beside him.

Splash!

A large number of naval personnel appeared around the complex, emerging from high-rise buildings, alleyways, and corners, their dark gun barrels pointed at them.

"If we can't go to the port, then we'll have to go to the wasteland, right? After all, there are many trees there. With the 'Puppeteer's' abilities, you can make a sturdy raft that will allow you to escape this island safely, right?"

Lyle, dressed in a white tuxedo, top hat, and monocle, stepped out and looked at Mimir. “It’s quite impressive that a child can think so much, but unfortunately, you can’t beat me in terms of strategy.”

Mimir gritted his teeth. "But how could you know we'd definitely be going this way?!"

He didn't believe it was a coincidence, especially with so many naval forces lying in ambush there.

"Your observation skills are good, but you pirates have a common problem: you're unwilling to harm civilians... That's commendable, but as an enemy, I'll take advantage of it."

Lyle laughed and said, "Of all the directions in the square, only the group of buildings that protrude outwards is uninhabited. You noticed this, so I was certain you would choose this direction, and it's also very close to undeveloped wasteland."

"That's really impressive..."

Mimir gripped his pistol tightly. "So, I guess I have no choice but to fight you to the death."

"adventurer..."

Lyle shook his head: "You have the airs of adventurers, yet you call yourselves pirates for some reason. Well, since you're pirates, catching them is the best option. As for you..."

He said to Mimir, “You are very smart, I admire that. You don’t have a bounty yet, so you still have a chance. Here’s what we’ll do: just change your name, and I’ll make you a member of the Navy, and you’ll be under my direct command, Lyle Crowe.”

“The navy’s recruitment age is fourteen, and I’m not old enough yet. This is illegal hiring. Besides, I have no interest in it,” Mimir said calmly.

“That makes sense. It seems we can’t recruit subordinates by changing names…” Lyle shook his head with a smile: “Then, we’ll just have to arrest you all.”
