"Catch them!"
At the Navy's command, the Navy pursuit team took the lead in assuming a three-stage firing stance and launched a barrage of nets.
“It’s a sea stone net!” Victoria shouted.
"Pine Breeze - Chaos!"
Sia charged straight to the front, her twin blades flashing, creating a gust of wind that swirled through the netting bullets. With undiminished momentum, she crashed into the pursuing team, blowing them all away.
Seeing that things were going badly, the officer next to him gestured, "Load!"
Bang bang bang!!
The navy, which had completely assembled and surrounded the area, pulled the trigger, turning the plaza in front into a sea of bullets.
"Pine Breeze - Round!"
With a flick of her wrist, Xiya swung her two knives, creating a circular vortex emanating from herself. The bullets that entered the vortex slowed down significantly and quickly lost momentum, either clattering to the ground or being blown away.
Bang bang bang!!
However, just as Sealy finished this action, bullets came raining down again, giving her no chance to catch her breath.
In that instant, bullets were already hitting Seaa.
"Elastic thread!"
Just then, a delicate shout rang out from the side, and countless bright lights flashed in front of Xiya.
With a few soft thuds, bullets that were originally in the same direction suddenly shot out in all directions, darting erratically through the air.
The bullet's trajectory showed many lines, and the bright light was the reflection of those lines, indicating that its quality was not low.
"Ability person..."
The naval officer clicked his tongue and shouted at Victoria, "Victoria, the Puppeteer, I advise you to surrender obediently. Going against the navy will only lead to bad consequences!"
"whispering sound!"
Victoria fiddled with her fingers, spreading more thread, then turned to Noah: "Hey, Captain, what do we do now!"
Mimir looked around as well. "The navy has surrounded this place. There are people not only in front, but also on those buildings. The retreat route has been blocked. We need to make a decision, Captain."
His expression was very serious.
There's no way to break out of this kind of encirclement without using force, but if force is used, then there's absolutely no room for maneuver with the navy.
Now the captain needs to give the order, not for any other reason than that he is their captain and therefore has the authority to do so.
"Oh? Making a decision..."
Noah glanced at the group of marines who were poised for battle and chuckled, "Pirates will definitely clash with the marines. Since we can't escape, then... let's go!"
Bang!
Noah had barely finished speaking when Mimir raised his gun first, striking the naval officer who was giving orders squarely in the chest. Blood splattered, and the officer fell to the ground, plunging the naval forces on the other side into brief chaos.
"Left rear, charge out!" Mimir shouted.
With a hunch, Xi Ya leaped out like a leopard, her twin blades gleaming coldly. She first slashed upwards with one blade, unleashing a massive vertical strike. Then, she swung her other blade, delivering a horizontal slash that formed a cross that shot straight forward. The resulting gust of wind plowed a trench in the ground and ripped apart and shattered the buildings in front of her.
"Super Strike Whiplash!"
Victoria stretched out one hand, and a thick, combined whip shot out rapidly, shattering and cutting through the building in front of her. Then, she raised her hand, and several lines connected the people.
"Empty path!"
Victoria took a step upwards and actually flew up, taking the others with her. They flew over the rubble beneath the shattered buildings and flew straight away.
By the time the navy reacted, the men had already evacuated; their actions were remarkably swift.
"Where's the major?!"
Then a naval officer ran over to the man who had been shot and shouted.
"Still alive, not fatally injured..."
"Damn it, they didn't do as Colonel Lyle expected! Report quickly, the pirates escaped from another direction!"
...
"Hey, Mimir, why are you going this way?!"
After passing the torn-up buildings, Victoria asked Mimir while manipulating the silk threads.
Victoria hadn't thought much of it earlier because she trusted her companion, but now she couldn't help but ask, "There's clearly a weak point over there leading to the port; it should have been easier for us to get out from there. Now, changing direction means we're getting further and further away from the port, which is really troublesome..."
"You can see that out of the ordinary? Do you really think that 'cunning fox' would deploy his troops that way?"
Mimir said, "The 'Cunning Fox' of Loguetown is too famous. His wisdom is renowned throughout the East China Sea. I don't think this troop deployment is just a coincidence. If we break out from the weak point, then the navy behind will completely surround us. Once the Cunning Fox has troops deployed in the port, we will be completely surrounded in the port."
"No, not the port, but the open area leading to the port. There are no buildings, only seawater. Once surrounded, we have no way to survive except by jumping into the sea."
"As for jumping into the sea, you are an ability user and I am a child. Perhaps the captain and Seaa can jump in, but there is no possibility that there are cunning foxes' plans in the sea. So breaking through the building complex and escaping is the best option. We can do without the ship if necessary, as long as we can get out."
"Huh?!"
Noah objected, "That's a pirate ship! It's the symbol of the pirate spirit! How can you just throw it away like that!"
“That was sponsored by my family. Besides, a boat is just a tool for navigation. What’s important is the spirit, the captain. Before this boat, when you and Victoria first invited me, you were using a small wooden boat. If that was the case, shouldn’t that boat have been abandoned as well?”
“Hmm…” Noah frowned: “What you said seems to make sense, but it doesn’t seem to make much sense either.”
