Chapter 18 I am a lawful good

"money..."

Hearing this, Kuro was in a bad mood.

"Wow, this is delicious, Chloe, give me that."

Lida's voice came from below the window.

Lida was walking ahead eating, while Chloe, looking miserable, was carrying bags of snacks behind her.

Kuro gave Smoker a long, meaningful look. "My money? Can you even call that money?"

Smoker paused for a moment, then shook his head with a smile.

Indeed, even that big eater was surprised by his own appetite.

"Colonel Smoker, Warrant Officer Kuro, something terrible has happened!"

A Marine burst in, saluted, and said, "Reports from headquarters: Monkey D. Luffy and his crew are heading towards Loguetown!"

Upon hearing this, Kuro's spirits lifted.

“Monkey D. Luffy? Who’s that?” Smoker asked.

"He's a notorious pirate with a bounty of thirty million."

Smoker's face darkened: "Thirty million... you call yourself a great pirate? That's really high."

"Colonel, he's a vicious and ruthless pirate who defeated Chief Krieg and the Fishman Dragon."

"Krik?"

Smoker looked at Kuro: "You've met Monkey D. Luffy?"

"Ah... I vaguely remember, but I haven't run into him much. I was stopped by Hawkeye before," Kuro said after thinking for a moment.

"never mind..."

Smoker stood up and said to the marine, "Getting so worked up over such a small matter, what kind of behavior is this? I have my own way of doing things. Since I took charge here, have I ever let any pirates escape?"

"Yes!" The navy officer broke out in a cold sweat from that look.

“Hey, do you want to go take a look?” Smoker asked Kuro.

Kuro waved his hand, indicating that he wouldn't go.

"That's true, you're having a good time here, you lazy bum."

Smoker went outside.

Kuro looked out the window and squinted.

"The world... is beginning to churn."

But what does that have to do with him? Taking it easy and living a peaceful life is the best way to go.

Anyway, the troublemaker will only come for a short while and then leave, so there won't be any civilian casualties.

"One Piece?"

From Kuro's perspective, he can see the tall execution platform in the square.

He scoffed dismissively, "I'm a lawful good."

The important thing about lawful goodness is not goodness, but lawfulness.

The chaotic faction is one that dislikes everyone they meet.

What good could he possibly have for the culprit who has plunged the world into chaos?
