Kuro realized he had misunderstood something.
From what I saw in the town of Metamorphosis, the local residents seemed to be doing quite well; they were all dressed smartly and in good health.
Through Observation Haki, one can also sense that the people in this country all have roughly the same aura.
Kuro's Observation Haki cannot sense a person's specific emotions and state. Although his Observation Haki has a wide range, he uses it more to sense the strength of a person's aura.
I just think they should all be doing well.
But Nalga's words made him feel uneasy.
The Insect Kingdom's basic income comes from exporting military power, and it is mainly the Luo family's military power. The country itself is small and doesn't seem to have any local specialties.
The only commendable aspect is its good environmental protection efforts, but this, combined with Nalga's actions, makes Kuro somewhat concerned.
If human development is not allowed, it will certainly be good for environmental protection, but it also means that humans cannot obtain anything from nature, not even a single blade of grass or a single tree.
Thinking about it carefully, that woman, although very beautiful and with fair skin, had a pale complexion, as if caused by malnutrition...
After walking through the woods for a while, Kuro finally saw a small village in the distance on an uphill slope.
The village is beautiful, with traditional single-story houses scattered across the flat land, full of the local characteristics of the insect kingdom. In front of the town, there is a towering tree that serves as a landmark. Around the tree, there are large fields, creating a scene reminiscent of a rural paradise.
However, the field looked quite desolate, overgrown with weeds.
Upon closer inspection, many of those bungalows were dilapidated. Although they were kept very clean, the old, neglected wooden planks had rotted away, revealing several large holes.
Several children were running around in the town. As far as Kuro could see, they were all skin and bones, not at all like normal children.
A very poor village, so poor that people couldn't even get enough to eat.
Is this the place?
Narga walked over, glanced at the village, and nodded approvingly:
"Colonel Kuro, there's really no need to rush to find that woman. I understand your desire to fulfill your government duties, but right now we need to find the Revolutionary Army. Don't worry, once we capture them, I'll report this small achievement of discovering poaching for you."
These words made the already quiet surroundings even more so.
Kuro had his back to Nalga, so his face was obscured, with only the smoke from his cigar drifting around him.
Lida shrank back and looked at Nalga with an expression as if he were a dead man.
Kro pushed up his glasses, let one hand hang down, and sticking out his index finger underneath.
Seeing that Kuro still ignored him, Nalga twitched the corner of his mouth. He had already made such a good gesture, but this man still didn't appreciate it!
"Hey! Kuro, didn't you hear me?!"
Nalga was losing his temper. Even if this guy was strong and held a high position, he was still too rude. After all, he was just a colonel. They were all under the World Government, and Nalga's position was much higher than that of a colonel.
No matter what, can't we at least give him some face?
Just as Nalga's hand was about to touch Kuro's shoulder, and Kuro was about to make a move as well, Kuro suddenly turned his head, his eyes glowing with a hint of red, and looked at Nalga.
"Noisy".
boom!
The killing intent materialized, erupting around Kuro and swirling into a black-gold aura that rushed towards Nalga and the CP3 personnel behind him.
*Flutter!*
A flock of birds hurriedly flew away from the distant woods, but as soon as they emerged from the trees, they froze and landed.
Narga, who was hit by the murderous aura at close range, staggered back several steps and sat down on the ground with a thud, his whole body trembling. Then his eyes rolled back and he fainted. The people behind him also fainted immediately.
"Don't bother me as I recalculate the situation in the Insect Kingdom, it's annoying."
Kuro looked at the unconscious Nalga and said something, then closed his eyes. When he opened them again, the red light had disappeared.
He just recalculated it, using the aura of those children as a benchmark, and spread it across the country; the perception would be different.
The residents of those four towns all possessed a significantly stronger aura than people from other places, and the auras from other places were exactly the same as those perceived here.
In other words, apart from the four towns in the Insect Kingdom, everyone else exudes this malnourished aura.
"Let's go down and take a look."
Kuro headed towards the town below.
Kro swallowed hard, glanced at the unconscious Nalga, and shook his head: "A guy who can't see the situation..."
In that situation, didn't you see that Miss Lida didn't dare to speak to Kuro? What were you doing interrupting? Especially the things you said, even he couldn't stand them anymore.
The CP3 members were left there, dizzy. Kuro and the others walked downhill and entered the village. The ancient tree stood like a landmark, separating the village road from the outside world. Kuro walked behind the ancient tree before he was considered to have entered the village.
However, he hadn't taken more than a few steps when he stopped and stood still.
The remaining navy personnel looked puzzled, but dared not ask any questions, and simply stood there with Kuro.
Lida and Crowe, however, looked at the nearby bushes with strange expressions.
Kuro, munching on a cigar, stared at the thick rope connecting the two trees ahead. Above the rope was a net bound with stones and wood chips, forming a very simple trap.
"Do you think I'm stupid enough to fall for such an obvious trap?"
Kuro looked into the bushes and said, "Come out, kids."
Rustling.
There was a rustling in the bushes, and three children, about seven or eight years old, jumped out. There were two boys and one girl, all of them thin and weak.
"Who are you? What is your purpose in coming here?"
The one speaking was the little boy at the very front. He was holding a thick branch that had fallen from some tree and was using it as a weapon, his body trembling slightly.
Behind him, the little girl held a slingshot and huddled behind the boy, her eyes filled with fear.
The other boy picked up two stones, and his legs were almost unsteady as he faced Kuro and the others.
Three little devils...
Upon hearing this, Kuro pointed to the cloak on his shoulder and said, "Navy, don't you recognize me?"
The little boy in the lead shook his head and said matter-of-factly, "I don't know them! Get out of here, or I'll beat you up!"
Kuro nodded slightly at these words, indicating that people outside these towns seemed to be quite isolated from information.
