Chapter 321 Don't waste food, kid!

"Never mind, it doesn't matter. I just saw a woman come in here. Is she here?"

Kuro didn't see the woman, but he sensed her with his Observation Haki, so it was no different from seeing her.

Upon hearing this, the three children immediately tensed up. They looked at each other, nodded emphatically, as if they had made up their minds.

"I didn't mean anything by it. It wasn't because she's pretty, I just wanted to..."

"Get out!"

The little boy holding the branch rushed towards Kuro, waving the branch at him and shouting, "You really came here to capture Kikyo! I won't let you succeed!"

The little girl behind her also pulled up her slingshot and fired a pebble.

"who?"

Kuro flicked his wrist, sending the flying stone flying away, which then struck the waving branch.

The little boy's arm jerked, and he almost lost his grip on the branch. However, the force that surged through him caused him to stumble and fall to the ground.

"Who did you say? Kikyo?" he asked in surprise.

Kuro was stunned; the name unlocked his memories of his past life.

You know what, thinking about it carefully, it actually looks pretty similar, and they're both carrying big bows...

Surely not?

"Damn it, I've revealed my name!"

The little boy instinctively covered his mouth, then turned to the little boy holding the stone and shouted, "Quickly go tell Sister Kikyo that the Insect Kingdom has sent people to capture her!"

The little boy holding the stone nodded and ran straight towards the village. Whether he was in too much of a hurry or not, he didn't notice the conspicuous rope in the middle of the trees. He tripped over it, cried out in surprise, and fell to the ground. The rope came undone.

call!

The net above, which was bound with a large number of pieces of wood and stones, was triggered and began to fall straight down.

"Xiao Lin!!!"

The little boy holding the branch looked furious. Without even standing up, he scrambled over to the branch, his body tumbling and crawling.

The little girl with the slingshot also dropped it and ran quickly in that direction.

The boy looked up at the scene, covered his head with his hands, and closed his eyes tightly.

"Idiot, if you go over there like that, all three of you will get hit, Lida," Kuro said calmly.

Whoosh!

Just as the trap was about to fall on the three people's heads, a white figure quickly appeared in mid-air.

Bang!

The trap scattered, with wood and stones falling around it, and the net drifted down in front of the three of them.

In their eyes, the white-haired little girl, who was about the same age as them, landed in front of them. Her white hair fluttered with her movements, and the cape on her back also danced. The two big characters 'Justice' on her back were particularly clear.

"Are you alright, kids?" Lida turned around and asked.

"Wow, so handsome!" The little girl's eyes lit up as she murmured.

The other two boys, looking at Lida's face, suddenly lowered their heads, their faces flushed with embarrassment.

"No, it's nothing, thank you for saving us."

The boy remained silent for a long while, then managed to utter a sentence. Suddenly realizing something, he looked up sharply and said, "No! Even if you save us, we won't submit, we won't let you go and capture Ju..."

"Gurgle—"

A dull thud came from his stomach, causing Lida to tilt her head and look at him with a slightly scrutinizing gaze.

The boy blushed even more, and stammered out the rest of the sentence, "Kikyo-neechan's..."

Lida's gaze made the boy feel ashamed; he always felt that this little girl, who was their age, looked down on them.

"How dare you look down on us!"

The boy gritted his teeth, clenched his fist, and was about to charge forward.

"Hey..."

Just then, a fragrance wafted past the boy's nose.

The boy stared blankly as Lida stretched out her hand in front of him, and in that hand was a soft piece of bread.

"It's really unpleasant to be hungry. Would you like something to eat?" Lida asked softly.

The boy sniffed, swallowed hard, and asked incredulously, "Is this... bread?"

"Huh? You've never eaten this before?" Lida asked, puzzled.

"No, it's just that I've never seen this color before," the boy said longingly.

He twitched his fingers, but then remembered something, his expression changed, and he slapped Lida's hand with a 'smack,' sending the bread flying and rolling to the ground.

"I would never betray Sister Kikyo for a mere little bit of food!" the boy shouted.

Upon seeing this, Kuro gave him an expression like an old man using a cell phone on the subway, turned his head away, and didn't want to look anymore.

“Hey!” Lida called out.

"How about it!" The boy looked over fearlessly.

Then, he was somewhat stunned.

Lida swiftly transformed into a young girl, her white hair dancing without wind, her hands clenching together with a 'crackling' sound.

"Don't waste food, you little rascal!"

Bang!

She punched the boy on the head. "Pick it up and eat it, you food-wasting bastard!"

"Whoa, it's gotten bigger, a monster!!"

The boy's eyes rolled back, and as he clutched the large bump on his head, tears streamed down his face.

The other two children shuddered, staring at the now-grown Lida, and exclaimed in terror, "How...how scary..."

"I'll eat it, I'll eat it!"

The boy was badly hit by Lida. He covered the bump on his head, sobbed, and walked over to pick up the piece of bread.

The boy was momentarily stunned upon touching it, exclaiming, "So soft..."

He had eaten bread before, but it was always the hard, sawdust-covered black bread, so hard it could be used as a weapon. Even that kind of food wasn't something you could eat anytime. As for something as soft as this, he had never even seen it before, let alone eaten it.

After staring at the bread in his hand for a moment, the boy opened his mouth and took a big bite.

The enticing aroma eventually transformed into soft and delicious food, entering the boy's mouth. His eyes widened as he quickly chewed and swallowed the bread, staring blankly into his mouth.

"Delicious!"

"Is it delicious?"

Looking at his expression, Lida chuckled and said, "People who are hungry always find food delicious."

"It's really delicious!"

The boy was about to take another bite when he suddenly stopped and looked at his two friends. "Hey, Kobayashi, Eina, you guys should try some too, it's really delicious!"

"Is that alright? Plain cup."

The two swallowed hard and walked over, gazing longingly at the bread.

You are only allowed to eat one bite.

Suzan looked at the bread he had taken a bite out of, measured its size, cut off a third with her finger, handed that third to them, and kept the remaining two-thirds. "I'm giving the rest to Kikyo-neechan."

This piece of bread is only about the size of a palm. If you only eat a third of it, it's just like tasting it.

"Hey, if you're hungry, eating is the important thing! Eating so little, are you looking down on me?!"

This scene made Lida's forehead crease with annoyance. She opened the bag on her shoulder and dumped all the food out. Then, she thief-likely picked up two pieces of fruit and put them into her backpack. Then she said generously, "Eat up, it's all yours!"
